The Russian city of Ozery, Moscow region, is an interesting place for recreation and tourism. You can see the sights of our country not only in large capital cities. Most of them, over time, lose their charm, warmth and color due to numerous modern industrial buildings. Old buildings are being demolished, including historical ones.
To enjoy the beauty of nature, listen to local stories and legends, and learn about the wonders of faith, you don’t have to go to the magical land of Oz. You can find a pristine corner that has retained the charm of past years in small regional villages. Among them you can find very interesting, memorable objects with their own unique history. For example, this town near Moscow is the very place where tourists can spend their time usefully, interestingly and educationally.
Sennitsa Estate
The history of the estate has been developing since the beginning of the 16th century. The name comes from the river of the same name, where the estate is located. Initially, the estate belonged to the Gagarin , thanks to whom it was possible to equip the complex well. Numerous outbuildings were built here, a park complex was planted, and ponds for fishing were laid out. The estate subsequently had to endure serious trials. In addition, the large residential building was destroyed by fire in 1920, so it has not survived to this day.
Nowadays, tourists can admire the Church of the Ascension, which is a worthy monument to the Peter the Great era. The temple is operating successfully after restoration efforts.
Tourism and rest
The nature of this city is very beautiful.
Numerous films and TV series were filmed in Ozery, and many actors in our country fell in love with it. Fishing enthusiasts can be lucky enough to get a successful catch in numerous local reservoirs. Even beginners in this business will definitely have luck.
For a family holiday, the ideal period would be from the end of May to September. The lakes have beautiful beaches and perfectly paved paths for pedestrians and cyclists. In September you can attend a biker rally. At this time, you can appreciate all the advantages of motorcycle technology.
Take note: winter in Ozery can delight skiers with very convenient trails. Beautiful winter landscapes attract both simply lovers of such beauty, as well as numerous photographers.
In conclusion, I would like to note that most people choose a vacation outside the city as a weekend. Especially if they spend entire working days in stuffy metropolises. The beauty of the Moscow region beckons tourists and vacationers.
You can organize your leisure time in such a way that it will be interesting for both adults and children. Wander through pine forests, rye fields with golden ears of corn, admire the estates, country houses and enjoy the silence and sounds of nature.
In the Ozersky district there are sanatoriums where you can undergo preventive treatment and improve your health all year round. Their service is not inferior to many famous resorts.
Tip: Local attractions will help you understand the history of the area, its past and its connection to the present.

Trinity Church
Trinity Church has existed since 1851 . Funds from local textile manufacturers were used to carry out construction activities. Initially, the church was called Vvedenskaya, but later it was renamed Trinity.
In 1875, the church was expanded, thanks to which it became a 3-altar church. At this time, side aisles and a refectory were added to it.
In the 1930s the temple was closed. Only 17 years later the church resumed its work, and it was consecrated in the name of the Holy Trinity. Then it was possible to build a western porch, make an iconostasis, lay out tiled floors, and update religious paintings.
Since 1993, a Sunday school has been operating at the church. In addition, charity hot lunches are held every day. The Orthodox Club for Children with Disabilities has been operating since 2002. Such activity testifies to the successful period of the Trinity Church.

The Senkovsky spring is located near the town of Ozyory. The holy spring has a bathhouse and a font. Many people dream of bathing in spring water or replenishing their supplies with unique water, characterized by crystal purity and impeccable taste.
Some people decide to throw coins into the local spring. However, this defiles and pollutes the source. Coins can oxidize, changing the initial properties of water. For this reason, care must be taken to never throw coins into the spring.

Historical reference
Like any place on the map of our country, the Lakes have their own history. The name of this city (and initially the village) was given by small lakes, which abound in the floodplain of the Oka River, on which the city stands. Thanks to them, the region is truly a lake.
So, earlier, even before 1917, it had a different administrative subordination than it does now. Namely, Ozery was in the possession of the Gorskaya volost of the Kolomensky district of the Moscow province. The administrative center of this area was the village of Gorki.
The development of Ozerki (this is the former name of the village at that time) must be given due credit to the rich peasants Morgunov and Shcherbakov.
It was they who founded various industrial manufactories on its territory in 1834. Later, in 1851, a church was founded on the territory of the village. And, as expected, Ozerki was given the status of a village.
It is important to know: over time, the original manufactories began to grow along with the population of the village. And by the revolutionary year of 1917 of the 20th century, Ozerki had become a significant industrial facility of the state.
In 1924, Ozerki acquired the status of an urban settlement, and in 1925 the settlement officially became a city.
This is interesting: if you come to Ozyory on August 17, you can get to the City Day celebration.
Later, in the 90s of the 20th century, factories and manufactories disintegrated, went bankrupt and are currently inactive. However, from that time Ozery began to be considered historical places of the Moscow region.
Currently, about 25.2 thousand residents live here. The infrastructure is well developed, there are five main industrial enterprises, schools, hospitals, kindergartens, hotels and much more. Official information can be found on the social network “Vkontakte” - the group “Overheard Ozyory” and on the website.
Drawable pontoon bridge across the Oka River
The construction of the first pontoon crossing across the Oka dates back to 1892. The opening of the modern bridge took place at the end of 2009. The bridge is now raised during high water and during the summer months, when barges regularly pass along the river. Previously, lifting was carried out using boats, but now using electric winches to speed up the process. The length is about two hundred meters, the width is approximately seven. When approaching the pontoon bridge, the bus drops off all passengers, and beyond the bridge it picks up again.
