Kamennomostsky or Khadzhokh is a village known among Russians with beautiful landscapes, a favorable climate, rich history and many unique natural, cultural and historical attractions.
The settlement was founded by the Cossacks after the war in the Caucasus, when a fortress was first founded, and after the war, in 1864, Khadzhokh itself was founded, named after the arched bridge laid across the Belaya River, in the Maykop region, the Adygean Republic of modern Russia. Geographic coordinates: 44.17 degrees latitude and 40.11 degrees longitude.
Near the village there are the villages of Pobeda and Vesely. Today, the beautiful and interesting places of this small village attract many tourists, travelers and vacationers, because its unusual attractions amaze with their beauty.
Climate
Kamennomostsky has a very favorable climate, the formation of which is facilitated by its favorable location: the village is surrounded by numerous mountain ranges and peaks.
There are no strong winds here, and the air temperature, regardless of the time of year, is much higher than in other nearby settlements. The average air temperature in summer reaches +22°C, and in winter – 7°C.
Thermal springs
Unique natural objects. There are more than enough of them on the territory of the Lago-Naki plateau. The bulk of the springs, the temperature of which ranges from + 34 to 80°, are not located in the territory of cozy recreation centers. Hot springs are especially popular mainly in winter. It is worth noting that the temperature in some pools is specially artificially cooled. Otherwise, it is impossible to get into the water. Read more…

Church of St. Demetrius of Thessaloniki the Wonderworker
The church is a real masterpiece of wooden architecture. Despite its relative “youth” (it was built in 2004), the small temple has won the love and respect of not only local residents, but also most tourists. It was built on the site of a prayer house built more than 100 years ago, in 1891. The small one-story building has a modest but beautiful appearance. A porch decorated with carvings leads to the entrance.
Rufabgo Falls
Rufabgo waterfalls are more than 10 water cascades, the largest of which have names. Along the hiking trails you can go to six, which are considered the most beautiful and majestic. But if you can reach the others, a lot of positive emotions are guaranteed. Rufabgo waterfalls mesmerize with their views at any time of the year. Even in winter they have a unique look. The most abundant time of the year is spring. Read more…
Meshoko Gorge (Mishoko)
The Meshoko gorge is located on the first (of the same name) tributary of the Belaya River. A fabulously beautiful place, especially in winter. Frozen waterfalls are ideally combined with snow-capped peaks, multiple grottoes and caves. “Mishoko” translated from Circassian means “Bear Valley” and it’s true that there used to be a lot of bears here. Nice view from the Mishoko extreme park.
Museum in the cave “Site of Ancient Man”
The museum complex is located at the exit from the village of Kamennomostsky, in one of the grottoes of the Khadzhokh Gorge. The organizers tried to reproduce as accurately as possible the life of ancient people. At the entrance, tourists are “greeted” by sculptures of primitive people. During the excursion, the guide will tell you about the life of the ancient tribes who lived here in ancient times. In the first of two halls there are sculptures of people from the Stone Age, in the second there is an exhibition. The museum is currently closed.
Extreme Park "Mishoko"
Extreme amusement park for adults and children “Mishoko” is located in the famous Mishoko gorge. There is something for every taste here. Including trolleys, via ferratas, rappelling. You can visit a camp bathhouse and a cave. And also play paintball, ride horses or ATV, UAZ. There is also the opportunity to spend time more peacefully, for example, by booking a sightseeing tour of the surrounding area. Read more…
Old quarry ovens
When leaving Kamennomostsky towards Guzeripl there is an old abandoned quarry where lime and other valuable rocks were previously mined. But tourists are more attracted not by the quarry itself, but by the old plant, or rather what’s left of it. The quarry’s ovens can hardly be called any type of production; they are more reminiscent of the ruins of an ancient castle. Perhaps this is precisely what provoked enterprising people to undertake their partial restoration.
Dolmen "Khadzhokhsky"
There are a huge number of dolmens on the territory of Adygea, but the most popular is “Khadzhokhsky”. According to some sources, it was built in the first half of the 3rd century BC. What it was intended for is unknown. On one side of the dolmen there is an oval-type hole, slightly offset towards the base. This is a mysterious structure, the purpose of which is debated by scientists themselves. There is an opinion that the dolmen is an ancient living space. Read more…
