Drama and Comedy Theater in Noginsk: history
It all started with a drama circle created at the beginning of the twentieth century in the town of Bogorodsk (now Noginsk) at the Assembly of Clerks of Local Manufactory, or more precisely, at its Department of Public Entertainment. On weekends, amateur actors staged performances in the building of the local cinema "Colosseum" on Bolshaya Moskovskaya Street, 65, often with the participation of invited capital celebrities.

The theatrical tradition was resumed after the October Revolution. In 1925, the troupe was assembled, and, finally, in 1930, the first season was opened in the stationary theater (the premises of the Colosseum were finally transferred to it in 1936). He did not stop his work even during the Second World War. The actors performed not only on their “native” stage, but also toured with productions, going to hospitals and military units (in total, about 500 performances were performed). By 1950, the Noginsk Theater had become the largest cultural center in the Moscow region, its team was in demand at the main events of the country. However, in the 1960s, the cast was reduced to 15 people due to lengthy reconstruction of the building, which almost led to the complete disappearance of the theater.
The situation was saved by graduates of higher theater schools who joined the troupe in the 1970s. They managed to preserve and enhance the legacy of previous generations of dramatic theater actors. Today's cast consists mainly of former students of the Boris Shchukin Theater Institute.
In 2012, the Noginsk Drama Theater became the Moscow Regional Drama and Comedy Theater.
