On the streets of Vityazevo, squares and parks you can see sculptures of ancient Greek gods. Restaurants, cafes and regular canteens offer city guests delicious dishes of national Greek cuisine and fortified soft drinks. The crafts in the souvenir shops are all made in the same Greek style. That’s why many people come here to feel the flavor of Ancient Greece and relax with the whole family on the Black Sea coast in Vityazevo. Where to live
It is better to look for housing long before the holiday season. The closer we get to the beginning of June, the fewer cheap and cool options there are. Housing here is the same as in the private sector. The difference is in the number of amenities and in the fact that this is not just a residential dacha, but a room adapted for tourists. On the territory of a private house there may be:

The price for renting a room in a guest house is from 250 to 1000 rubles per person per day. The cost depends on the season, the comfort of the room and the popularity of the house itself. The main vacation spot on the sea coast is the beach. There are more than 10 cozy beaches in Vityazevo where you can go with your child. All of them are clean and well-maintained. Beach activities and attractions for children in Vityazevo are as follows:

Games and competitions are held here, the kindergarten is equipped with inflatable pools, slides, attractions, various toys, etc. At Talibu you can leave your children under the supervision of an experienced teacher.

What to take with you
Depending on the age of the child, you can take with you:
- Coloring books and pencils. With felt-tip pens, a child can write on a chair or shelf on a train, but this will not happen with pencils.
- Puzzles and toys. Help your child pass the time and develop fine motor skills.
- Tablet or phone. There you can download cartoons and your child’s favorite programs. You shouldn’t hope that there will be internet on the road. It may not be there, but the baby will want to watch cartoons.
- Books. Take your favorite books with interesting pictures and favorite characters.
Calculate how much time it will take to travel, think about what games and toys children like. Consider the sequence of providing entertainment. Planning the route and leisure time for this period allows many parents to arrive at their holiday destination without stress, tension and childish tantrums. Even if you travel by car, children's leisure time should be a priority. The assumption that the child will sleep the whole way may not be justified.
Embankment "Paralia"
What to see and where to go in Vityazevo on your own? Of course, to the main street of the resort - Paralia Boulevard. Literally, “paralia” is translated from Greek as “embankment.” Therefore, it is not surprising that the main street connecting the center of Vityazevo and the Black Sea coast was named this way.
But the tribute to the past is reflected not only in the name. At the entrance to the embankment you can see a monumental Greek arch, and along the boulevard there are antique columns, pergolas, statues and mysterious porticoes. “Paralia” is a center where all kinds of entertainment and attractions are collected. There are numerous souvenir shops, shops, cafes and restaurants with live music. Local artists will be able to draw a portrait or a friendly caricature, take a photo with an exotic animal, braid African hair or make a beautiful pattern on your hand, and sing karaoke. On the embankment there is a zooterrarium where you can see exotic animals and tropical butterflies. Nearby there is a small cinema hall where they show exciting 20-minute films in 10D format. The boulevard is surrounded by greenery, so even a simple walk along the Black Sea will be a pleasure. Life on the Paralia embankment is in full swing both day and night.
Churches
Connoisseurs of architectural monuments and spiritual heritage should visit a number of places in the resort village.
Church of St. George the Victorious. The temple was built in 1994 in a very picturesque part of the village. The building itself is not luxurious and looks very modest. But the atmosphere on the church grounds is very peaceful.
“Holy Hand” is a whole Orthodox complex. Excursions are often organized there from Vityazevo. The complex has been known since the 18th century. It contains the source of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is famous for its healing properties. Water from the source used to flow over a stone that had the outline of an elegant hand. It is not difficult to guess where the name of the Orthodox place comes from. You can swim in the spring and collect healing water. There are especially many people in the “Holy Hand” on Orthodox holidays.
The Hermitage of St. Theodosius of the Caucasus is located in the village of Gorny. It can also be reached by tourist bus. The clairvoyant Saint Theodosius lived here at the beginning of the 20th century. In the Desert you can visit a temple and a chapel, and collect water from a holy spring.
Amusement park "Byzantium"
The most important children's attraction in Vityazevo, where you can go with your child on your own, is the Byzantium amusement park. This is the heart of the resort village. In terms of the number of attractions, Byzantium is not inferior to European parks. There are various carousels, cars, roller coasters, and a Ferris wheel. In the evening, “Byzantium” turns on beautiful illumination, which vacationers from Anapa and Dzhemete come to admire.
Climatic features
The climate at the resort is Mediterranean, moderately humid. Most days of the year are sunny; even in winter it is rarely cloudy. Swimming in the Black Sea begins in May and ends at the end of September. Water temperature in summer is from +22 to +28 °C. The air rarely warms up above + 35 °C, and at night the temperature does not drop below +20 °C. There is little precipitation, due to the proximity of the sea. As a rule, it rains at night. The air of the resort village is enriched with oxygen, ozone and sea salts. The most favorable period for tourism is from May to October, while the swimming season is open. But sanatoriums and boarding houses are open at any time of the year.
Waterpark "Olympia"
The water amusement park with a beautiful Greek name was opened quite recently - in 2012. This is a must-visit place in Vityazevo with your child. Olympia features Canadian-made attractions. Here all the buildings, names of attractions and cafes, menus, etc. are designed in the Greek style. The entrance is stylized as a Greek temple: decorated with stucco, porticoes and columns. Along the entire perimeter of the water park there are statues of mythical heroes and ancient Greek gods. At Olympia you can find entertainment for children of any age, but there are attractions for which an age limit has been introduced (from 10 or 14 years). For young visitors, on the territory of the water park there is a children's town "Elysium" (Vityazevo), where you can take a child aged 2 years and older to exciting animated shows or go on children's water attractions. Guests of the water park can have a bite to eat at the cozy Meduza restaurant, which serves traditional Greek dishes.
Historical reference
The first settlement on the territory of present-day Vityazevo appeared 2000 years ago. The place was chosen by the Greeks and they called it Pont Eclivus.
Many centuries later, in 1837, the Cossacks came here and founded their village of Vityazevskaya. The settlement was named in honor of a commander named Vityaz, under whose leadership the Anapa fortress was saved from the invaders. In those days there was a fierce struggle with the Turks for the Black Sea shores.
In 1862 the name Vityazevo appeared. Before the Patriotic War, Pontic Greeks lived in the village of Vityazevo. During the Second World War there was a mass deportation of the Greek population. Later, already in the 50s. XX century, some forced migrants came back.

Budget tourists can easily recommend a good hotel in Vityazevo. There are quite a few economy options here, and Sokrtis is one of them. It's a great place to relax with your family. The three-star guest house has “standard”, “luxury” and “junior suite” rooms; they are small, but very cozy, with fresh renovation. Infants are entitled to a playpen. The green inner courtyard is designed to be interesting for children of any age: a swimming pool with a shallow section, a room for watching cartoons, and a playground. Animation every four days, the kids are delighted with it. The service is beyond praise, the owners of the hotel are spouses who, during a standard vacation, become good friends to the guests.
It’s a bit far from the sea, but this fact doesn’t spoil anyone’s mood. The road turns into an exciting journey through shopping arcades, where you can buy souvenirs for friends and family, beach paraphernalia, and tickets for excursions. The beach, although urban, is fenced. Its highlight is a children's corner with an abundance of toys and, of course, equipment. There is everything that will make your stay on the beach as comfortable as possible - water coolers, changing rooms, toilets, storage rooms.
