The village of Kuchugury on the shores of the Azov Sea is a quiet and peaceful place for a relaxing holiday. The beaches in the village of Kuchugury and the surrounding area are sandy, long, with a flat, comfortable bottom. The area around is incredibly picturesque and unlike the south of the Krasnodar Territory with mountains and an abundance of greenery. The typical landscape of this part of the Azov coast is extensive steppes, vineyards, dunes and mud volcanoes.
The name of the village stands for “sandy mounds”.
The village of Kuchugury is one of the ideal places for a holiday with small children: the overall calm atmosphere of the resort, beaches with soft sand and gentle slopes, warmer seas, and the presence of sanatoriums with wellness treatments. Tourists with older children will find it a little boring - there is no entertainment at the resort, except for a children's playground. Also, the disadvantages include frequent winds - swimming during such periods is dangerous.

This “artery” of the village continues the street. Beregovaya in the south-east direction, although it begins at the north-western end of the village, going around the street from behind, and goes much further south-east in the form of a dirt road, being the longest passage of the settlement. On its left side you will see the widest strip of sand in Kuchugury. This is the second beach of the local neighborhoods.
Its length is more than 1.5 km - this is the entire south-eastern part of the village. Consists of a sand mound. But closer to the water’s edge there are a couple of strips of large shell rock. Another address
So where was “Matchmakers” filmed? Kuchugury - another Kuchugury - are located on the territory of Ukraine. According to another version, it was in this locality that the popular series was filmed. Its location is in the Chernigov region, Koryukovsky district. This is where the village of Kuchugury is located. Ukraine, where “Matchmakers” was filmed, amazed with the variety of beautiful landscapes and the hospitality of the local population.
But, strange as it may seem, there is a third version
Taking it into account, we can answer the burning question “Where was “Matchmakers” filmed?” “Kuchugury” will give an answer that will be absolutely correct
Only in this answer, the filming of the series took place not in Chernigov, but in the Kyiv region. This was the village of Moshchun. It was there, from a local forester, that they rented the so-called “Budko family house” for the duration of filming.
By the way, if you delve a little deeper into the name itself, then in translation from Ukrainian “kuchugur” means “snowdrift”. If we draw a certain parallel, according to which if a snowdrift is a lot of snowflakes collected in one place, then the village itself is like a team of people who, with their advantages and disadvantages, good deeds and not very good behavior, form the most kuchugur, that is a certain area where all these people live and interact in one way or another.
These are the Kuchugurs. Ukraine, where “Matchmakers” was filmed, provided the film crew with many other beautiful places: Yalta, Massandra Park, Alushta, the international camp “Artek”, Ai-Petri.
Story
The official date of formation of the village is 1924. Until 1940, the Red Kuchugur artel was formed here. During the Great Patriotic War, the farm was completely destroyed, only three huts survived, and the residents were evicted by the Germans to Crimea. After the war, until 1951, the “Path of Communism” artel operated here. In 1957, when the land was divided, the Primorsky collective farm was formed, which in 1960 was reorganized into the Golubaya Bukhta wine state farm.
Although the Kuchugury farm in the Temryuk region was finally abolished in the 1970s, it is currently thriving. The population of the village is almost 2.5 thousand people.
