Basic moments
Vityazevo is home to almost 8,000 people, many of whom are ethnic Greeks, which is why the village is often called “Little Athens”. Local residents serve tourists, grow grapes and work in the wine industry. In summer, the population grows several times due to visiting tourists.
From 1837 to 1854, on the site of the modern village stood the Cossack village of Vityazevskaya, which received its name from the surname of Major Vityaz. When there was no longer a need for a military outpost, the Pontic Greeks moved here. Interestingly, many residents of Vityazevo still speak the Pontic dialect of Greek.
Vityazevo has a developed tourism infrastructure. Most of the hotels and mini-hotels built in it are new and have 3-5 floors. The rooms are air conditioned and equipped with modern furniture. The beautiful Paralia Boulevard and the seaside promenade are considered pleasant places for walks.
The satellite village of Anapa has become in demand among beach lovers since the times of the USSR. Traditionally, many families with children come to Vityazevo. There are also several sanatoriums and health centers that operate all year round.
Vityazevo is also loved by youth groups. For many years, not far from the resort village, on a sand spit, the popular “Kubana” festival was held. In the sea near Vityazevo they go diving and kiting. People travel through the dunes on ATVs. Fans of active recreation can go horseback riding or organize an interesting trip on a yacht. In the summer, Vityazevo welcomes guests to the Olympia water park and the Byzantium amusement park.
Natural features
From the north, the development of the resort village is limited by vineyards. The sandy Vityazevskaya spit stretches from the houses towards the village of Blagoveshchenskaya - a piece of land separating the Vityazevsky estuary from the Black Sea. The width of the sand spit is quite large - from 0.5 to 2 km. The beach on the sea side has a width of 0.3 to 0.6 km. There are also sandy beaches on the estuary side. In the middle of the spit there is a chain of sand dunes, the height of which reaches 15 m.
Vityazevskaya Spit is a unique place. Only here in the Krasnodar region can you see real dunes. There are no trees growing on the spit, so vacationers on the wild sandy beaches have to escape the sun under homemade awnings.
Like Anapa, Vityazevo is considered an excellent climatic resort. The village is located in the Mediterranean climate zone, and there is never such humidity as in the Greater Sochi area. The dryness of the air is largely determined by the winds blowing onto the coastal zone from the hot Taman steppes.
Vityazevo beaches
The beach strip in the area of the resort Vityazevo stretches for as much as 3 km. It is all covered with sand and small shell rock. Vityazevo beaches are very wide - from 150 to 200 meters, which is why sand sculpture festivals are held here every year. The entrance to the water is gentle at any place, and the seabed has no potholes, large stones or holes. For their convenience and well-warmed shallow water, the beaches of Vityazevo are appreciated by parents with small children.
The coastal strip along Vityazevo is divided into several beach areas. The difference between them is insignificant. Somewhere there are more people, and some places have a special set of resort services. The beach areas of some private hotels are fenced. In this case, hotel guests use sun loungers and sun umbrellas free of charge.
The most visited Vityazevsky beach is Central. It stretches along the sea for 400 m. In the middle of summer, with the exception of early morning and evening hours, there are always many vacationers there. The central beach of Vityazevo has municipal status, and no money is taken from its visitors. You can reach it along Chernomorskaya Street and the Paralia walking boulevard.
Before the tourist season begins, the sand on the Central Beach is carefully sifted so that vacationers can safely walk along the seashore barefoot. During the summer, the beach area is cleaned of garbage every day. During the entire swimming season, which in Vityazevo lasts from the end of May to the end of October, professional lifeguards and doctors are on duty on the beach.
The Central Beach has everything you need for a comfortable beach holiday. Here you can use sun loungers and parasols, changing rooms, toilets and showers. The beach has permanent shade canopies with seating. And nearby there are cafes, snack bars and restaurants where you can have a snack or a full lunch.
There is a pier adjacent to the beach, from which tourists are taken every day for boat trips and fishing. For children, the Central Beach has attractions, inflatable slides and trampolines. If parents want to leave their baby under supervision for a while, they can do this on the small children’s paid beach “Talibu”, where professional educators work.
From the Dzhemete side, several beach areas adjoining the Central Beach belong to sanatoriums, recreation centers and hotels. On the opposite side is the Dunes beach, which can be reached along Mira Street. It is also free and has all the necessary beach infrastructure. The Dunes have several courts for playing beach volleyball and football, as well as good massage parlors.
Further, towards Blagoveshchenskaya there are several beach areas of hotels and a medical and health complex. And behind them, already on the outskirts of Vityazevo, lies the Pirate Bay beach. You can get to it from the first exit from the dirt road. This place is loved not only by fans of sea swimming and sunbathing. People come to Pirate Bay to ride ATVs, since the Vityazevskaya ATV base is located next to it.

Opportunities for treatment and wellness
The dry Mediterranean climate of the resort village allows anyone for whom high humidity is contraindicated for health reasons to relax here. Many families with children, elderly people, as well as those who experience problems with the respiratory system and heart come to Vityazevo. With low humidity and constant sea breezes, Vityazevo is easy to breathe and the summer heat is much easier to bear.
To improve your health, you often don't need to visit a doctor or take medications. Sea swimming, clean air, regular sunbathing and walking by the sea do their job, and almost everyone who spent their vacation in Vityazevo leaves here feeling good.
Medical and health complex "Vityaz"
Tourists who want to receive medical advice or undergo medical procedures prefer to stay in sanatoriums, boarding houses and recreation centers in Vityazevo. These institutions treat diseases of the nervous system, circulatory system, digestion, connective tissue, as well as diseases of the ear, nose and throat. According to reviews, local mud helps well with diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
The Vityaz medical and health complex operates in the resort village all year round. Its territory is located on the first line, near Chernomorskaya Street. In addition to consultations with doctors, in the LOK you can use gyms, playgrounds and sports grounds, and also have a pleasant time in the solarium and sauna. Vityaz has its own indoor pool with heated mineralized water.
A little further from the sea, to the south of the wine territory, a wellness center is open. It offers vacationers family health programs. The center has comfortable housing, convenient gyms and diagnostic rooms and modern medical equipment for diagnostics and treatment.

Where to stay
A lot of sanatoriums, boarding houses, hotels and mini-hotels have been built in Vityazevo. However, on the first coastline there are only the largest sanatoriums, hotel complexes and resort entertainment. Rooms in hotels by the sea are in high demand, which means they should be booked several months before the start of your vacation.
In the courtyard of the guest house
About 90% of all mini-hotels and private housing are located within a 5-15 minute walk from the sea. The popularity of the resort village is growing every year, so more and more housing is appearing on the very outskirts of Vityazevo. From there the road to the coastline takes 20-30 minutes. But it's not a problem! Vityazevo is built on flat terrain, so the walk to the beach is never tiring.
Hotels and guest houses located far from the sea usually have their own swimming pools. Near most of them there are parking areas and green recreation areas. In the summer, many Vityazev hotels offer full board - three meals a day or buffet meals. It’s convenient that you can order a transfer from the airport or Anapa train station almost everywhere.
Hotels and boarding houses near the sea offer more expensive accommodation. You should look for cheaper options in the private sector at some distance from the beaches.

Travel and recreation in Russia
We vacationed in Vityazevo at the beginning of September 2021 as a family with two children (4 years and six months).
I want to say right away that we structured our vacation as follows - 4 days in Anapa itself, 6 days in Vityazevo. In Anapa we lived in the Petrostil guest house, the owner was Julieta. A room with air conditioning, a refrigerator and a TV, a shower and toilet in the room cost us 2000 rubles (for three people), breakfast included. Breakfast was very poor, we left feeling hungry. The room was not cleaned even once during the 4 days we stayed. Furniture includes two single beds made into a double bed and a collapsible chair-bed for a child, a small wardrobe for clothes, a table with a mirror and a small floor refrigerator, air conditioning. During our 4 days in Anapa, we rested on the Central Beach (I’ll say right away, it’s a terribly dirty sandy beach, a lot of algae on the shore that no one cleans up, the sea stinks of this rotting algae). We had to wade deep into the sea through floating algae to swim. The children were afraid of algae floating in the water. The guest house is located right in the center of Anapa, you can rent baby strollers. On the territory of the guest house there are tables under a canopy and chairs, the children's playground includes a plastic swing for children under 3 years old and a slide for the same age + a plastic house. In the center there is a singing fountain, an amusement park, and all kinds of entertainment. We visited the house with the children upside down (the house is upside down), ordered a portrait of the youngest child (by the way, an A3 size portrait in pencil cost 500 rubles. In Koktebel 2 years ago they paid 5,000 rubles for a family portrait of a slightly larger size). We took the children to the exotarium, rode the carousel, and visited the Nemo Dolphinarium (by the way, I highly recommend it - it was impressive). The children and I went to the market to buy fruit, 5 minutes from the guest house. You can also buy fish there for those who like it. The guest house is well located in this regard. I liked Anapa itself only for its infrastructure, the beach is disgusting. In 4 days we visited everything we wanted and found interesting with our children. But for 6 days of stay in Vityazevo the picture is completely opposite. We lived at the Dolce Vita Hotel, Yuzhny Avenue 7. The very center of Vityazevo. It’s 15 minutes to the sea with two children, slowly going through all the tents and taking pictures with statues of Greek gods, walking through Paralia. A stroller for a small child is included with the hotel service. We used strollers for free and with pleasure. By the way, the sea is clean!!! There were no algae at all - I can’t even believe it when compared to Anapa. The beach is more like a wild one with sand dunes, very wide. There were always sunbeds available. The sea has a smooth immersion and is quite long and shallow, which is a plus when vacationing with children. The children splashed in the sea with pleasure, even on days when there were huge waves (they jumped on the waves with their daughter). We vacationed in Koktebel 2 times and both times we caught an intestinal infection, since the sea is still dirtier, although the beach is clean and pebble. While vacationing in Vityazevo, everything went without illness. 3-bed room without a balcony (ground floor) with all amenities - 2300 rubles per day (TV, air conditioning, excellent interior, refrigerator, excellent furniture in the rooms - a double Euro bed and a single single bed for a child). The lack of a balcony did not bother us at all; we dried things on the street on clotheslines. The only thing was that we had to close the window in the evening when we went to bed (it was noisy by the pool), but with the air conditioning this disadvantage was not felt. Breakfast was not included, which was nice after Anapa))) The hotel has its own dining room, prices are very reasonable, the menu is varied. The hotel has its own store and its own cafe where you can order sushi and pizza. The pizza is delicious and thin. There is a heated swimming pool and a full-fledged children's playground on site. And what is VERY important when vacationing with children, every other day there are 20 hours of animation for children. This allows adults to relax carefree on the open terrace located on the roof of the cafe and enjoy VERY tasty kebab cooked in their own kebab shop and night views of Vityazevo. And there is something to see in the evening! The whole of Paralia lights up with all kinds of illumination in the darkness. You can also take part in an animated show with your children. Animations are in no way inferior to Turkey and Egypt. Comparison rooms were cleaned every day. By the end of your stay at this hotel, you could take home a whole suitcase of toilet paper if you wanted. They brought a roll every other day, even if it was not needed. The bed sheets were changed every day and the room was cleaned. The staff is VERY responsive and inviting. We went to the sea every other day because it was impossible to get the children out of the pool. The pool has a children's area and hydromassage. Along the perimeter of the pool there are sun loungers and chairs for those who want to sunbathe. As you exit the hotel gate there is a tent selling boiled corn, nuts, fruits and vegetables. Everything you need for a comfortable family holiday is within walking distance. The cost of food in the cafe varies, it all depends on your desires and preferences. The price starts from 200 rubles. We were very pleased with Vityazevo, we recommend it to all our friends and relatives. This year we are going there too, Dolce Vita is waiting for us!!! This year we are planning to visit the water park. We will go in September with a slightly larger group. By the way, the hotel has a free transfer from Anapa train station. We also left in a car ordered by the girls at the reception, but at our own expense))) In general, we had something to compare with and were pleasantly surprised by the service of the Vityazevo hotel.
