Home / Russia / Vityazevo beaches
Vityazevo is one of the resort pearls of the Krasnodar region. Every year, from May to September, more than 2 million tourists manage to relax and gain strength on the beaches of Vityazevo. The small village, where health resorts and recreation centers are located, is located on the shore of the Vityazevsky estuary, separated from the sea by a narrow spit. It has its own airport. The distance to the center of Anapa is only 11 km, but it is not as noisy as in the city, the water and sand on the sea beaches are much cleaner, and entertainment includes the whole range of entertainment attractions typical of a holiday on the coast.
Fans of these places are attracted by the clear sea, picturesque dunes, schools of dolphins swimming close to the shore, Pontic speech and the hospitality of the local Greeks, who finally settled on the Black Sea coast in the 19th century. People come here for vivid gastronomic experiences. Particularly famous are the candied hazelnuts and the exquisite churchkhela on the Paralia embankment. Among the entertainment:
- sea: jet skis, banana boats, parasailing, boat trips, diving, fishing;
- beach: trampolines, volleyball, children's playgrounds with inflatable slides;
- club: billiards, music, dancing, performances by artists, thematic festivals;
- excursion: Lotus Valley, archaeological and architectural monuments of the Krasnodar region;
- attractions: amusement park "Byzantium", water parks "Olympia" and "Elysium".
Homer also mentioned the mud fountains of this ancient settlement. The crater of the Tizdar volcano, described in the Odyssey, is still accessible to numerous travelers today. The estuary also serves as a source of healing mud, which helps with diseases of the musculoskeletal system. The mineral waters of the “Pearl” gallery, containing magnesium, potassium, sodium and metaboric acids, allow you to cleanse the body and recharge your batteries in a short time.
The sandy beaches of Vityazevo begin at the end of Pionersky Avenue in Anapa. Well-equipped, equipped, with medical centers and rescue services, they occupy 3 km of the Black Sea coast. Further, from the beginning of the Vityazevskaya Spit to the village of Blagoveshchenskaya, wild beaches stretch for 8 km. The width from the dunes to the sea edge ranges from 150 to 300 m. The coast is flat everywhere. The descent into the sea is long, without ramps, holes or underwater boulders. With rare exceptions, you can sunbathe and swim on any part of the coast. The sand is golden quartz, with feldspar crumbs and small shell rock. At the water's edge there are whole shells of small and medium size, so those who wish can collect a small collection.
Why was it called that?
The beach in Vityazevo is good, so many tourists come here every year. The settlement is named after Major Vityaz, who accomplished his feat in 1809. This outstanding man fought heroically against the Circassians and died from wounds received in battle three days after the battle.
After some time, the Cossack village of Vityazevskaya appeared here, and then the settlement of the Pontic Greeks - Vityazevo. Until now, they still make up the majority of the population of the village.
Supsekh
Literally two kilometers separate the resort village of Supsekh from Anapa. This place is unique - Supsekh is located at an altitude of 120 meters above sea level. From the steep shore of the village there are fabulous panoramic views of Anapa and Anapa Bay. By the way, the Caucasus Range originates here.
For a long time, in order to swim and sunbathe, tourists who stayed in the village were forced to get to Anapa, because there was no access to the sea. Today in Supsekha a descent to the Black Sea has been built - with places for recreation and observation platforms. In search of a place in the sun, you won’t have to jostle among crowds of tourists here. True, the descent to deep water is a real challenge, a kind of physical fitness test. To get to the pebble beach you have to climb 800 steps! The efforts are worth it - descriptions of the wild Anapa beach say: this is one of the cleanest beaches on the entire Black Sea coast. Tourists note that the water here is clean. This place is suitable for underwater photography and hunting for marine life. Fans of a classic beach holiday have nothing to do in Supsekh. But this place is suitable for outdoor enthusiasts and athletes. The village is a favorite place for paragliders and hang gliders: they land right on the wild beach.
There is another option to get to this secluded corner - a walk from the “40 Years of Victory” beach. It is important to consider that nudists like to stay between these two beaches.
Infrastructure
The beach in Vityazevo is spacious (about two hundred meters wide), and it stretches along the coast for as much as 5 km. Clean it every day. Along the coast there are hotels, entertainment venues, restaurants, amusement parks, and bowling alleys. A minibus to Anapa runs every five minutes. There are many different souvenirs on sale, and cosmetic services are provided. There is probably no such good SPA salon as in Vityazevo anywhere else on the Black Sea coast. SPA "Niga" provides various procedures, the best fish peeling, chocolate wrap. Here you can get rejuvenating masks and Thai massage. Well, for extreme sports enthusiasts, various excursions have been prepared - ATV safaris, mountain climbing, waterfalls.
You can also swim in the Vityazevsky Estuary, but the beach there is narrow, the coastline is inconsistent, and the streets stretch almost along the shore.
Nudist and wild beaches of Vityazevo
Secluded corners by the sea, where you can pitch a tent or go on a picnic with a group, are located on the Vityazevskaya Spit. For tourists, entry has recently been paid - 150 rubles per person. There is no fee for those living in the region, but they must present a passport at the barrier where the post is located.
Access to the beaches may be officially closed in the following cases:
- decrease in water temperature on the coast below the permissible norm (similar situations are possible in June, at the height of the rainy season);
- storm warning;
- during spawning and industrial fishing in the estuary;
- when carrying out construction or technical work on a specific beach or on 2 breaks in the spit during the implementation of the environmental program for the protection of the Vityazevsky estuary.
Cafes, bars, locker rooms, children's slides, cleared and compacted parking areas can still be found closer to the village. The most popular with partial or full equipment include “Quiet Harbor” and “Tortuga Island” beach.
Pirate Bay Beach
In 2021, Tortuga was purchased by a “pirate” hotel, which, under its own banners and other thematic attributes, has existed since 2021. The development of the territory was not limited to the installation of locker rooms, showers, equipment for a rescue station and a first-aid post.
Entertainment in Pirate Bay: bananas, flying Batman, bed wagons; volleyball, sports shooting; buggies, quad racing. In the open sea on the shallows you can see a floating island with numerous houses, slides and palm trees. You can moor at Flint's pirate paradise from the water side. The sea tram stops at this section of the beach.
A little further along the coast, there are fewer signs of civilization, but sellers of churchkhela and cold beer wander in. And after 5 km, the only inhabitants are desperate tourists, for whom peace is more valuable than the benefits of civilization. Among the tall, picturesque dunes there is a chance to park an SUV; lighting fires is not prohibited. There are no medical centers, rescue services, or law enforcement officers. Almost 14 km of the coastline are at the disposal of the “savages”. Nudists have their own secret residence - at the very end of the spit near the village of Blagoveshchenskaya. The fine quartz sand of the wild zone is no different from the branded Vityazevsky sand. In the dunes you can meet local representatives of the fauna - turtles. The sea bottom is flat with large shallow waters. Swimming for an adult begins 40 m from the surf line.
Sand or pebbles?
This is a small village; holidays there are more suitable for mothers with children and pensioners. For those who like to spend days at the beach, this is simply ideal. Many users are interested in the question: “Which beach in Vityazevo is sand or pebbles?” Now we will give the answer. The beach there is sandy, although in general the beaches on the Black Sea coast of Russia usually consist of small pebbles rolled in by the surf.
The sand is a mixture of quartz rocks and crushed shells. There are also many dunes on the coast. These are very beautiful small dunes, like in a real desert, created by nature. It’s interesting to slide down such hills and sunbathe on them. Kids love to play with sand. It is large and golden here, there is no garbage, and after every storm they clean it up using good equipment. Sometimes volunteers help. In Vityazevo you can get a job as a beach cleaner. That is, every evening you will need to remove the trash left by visitors. Many people who came on vacation earned money this way - only an hour a day, paid hourly.
Returning to the description of the beach, I would like to say that it is very beautiful. You can swim in the local waters with scuba gear or with a mask. And professional divers also choose this area of the sea for diving. You can scuba dive on the sunken ship “Odessa City Council”, which was sunk by the Germans during the Great Patriotic War.
Vacationers prefer the beach in Vityazevo to the beaches in Anapa and Novorossiysk. "Why?" - you ask. Probably because it’s more comfortable here. If you come to the beach in Vityazevo at sunset, you can see dolphins - they often appear there at this time.
But this beach also has disadvantages - the sea, like in Anapa and Novorossiysk, is very shallow near the shore. Therefore, you have to walk a hundred meters to the depth. Although, of course, this is a plus for children - a kind of spacious “paddling pool” is formed near the shore. The water temperature in the sea is 20-27 degrees, it is almost ideal for swimming.

Public
There are two public beaches - “Dunes” and TsPV (central beach of Vityazevo). They are equipped with almost everything necessary - a volleyball court, a cafe, rescue centers, and medical assistance. “Dunes” is the most popular beach in Vityazevo. Reviews from visitors about it, by the way, are mostly only positive.
There is also a beach at the Vityaz LOC. It is closed, surrounded by a fence with a mesh, and entry is only by passes, but the conditions for recreation there are excellent. Perhaps this is the most deserted beach in Vityazevo. In August (the end of the holiday season) all the beaches are busy with vacationers, sometimes there is even nowhere to lie down. But LOC beach, which occupies a considerable area, is never completely occupied.
Varvarovka
Varvarovka is a wild beach near Anapa, it is located 5 kilometers from it. Immediately beyond Varvarovka, the Caucasus Mountains begin, offering unusually beautiful views of Anapa and the entire Black Sea coast. The Varvarovskaya Shchel beach has a pebble surface and the sea is very clean. Vacationers warn that travel to the beach is paid. You can pitch a tent in this place and there are campsites. There is no infrastructure on the beach. Vacationers note that it is clean, quiet and not crowded.
Wild
Undeveloped wild beaches stretch towards the village of Blagoveshchenskaya. You can drive there by car right along the shore. Such beaches are suitable for those who want to relax alone with nature or live as a “savage” without the benefits of civilization. The length of the wild beach is about twelve kilometers. There are parking lots, fire pits, and camping areas.
How to get there
The route to this paradise is not difficult. First you need to come from Anapa or another locality to Vityazevo. This is a resort village located in the northern part of the region. It’s easy to find on maps and plot a route along local roads. There are boards everywhere indicating the direction, it’s difficult to get lost.
Route diagram:
Vityazevo - hotel "Niko" - 1000 meters behind it - a wild beach. It is most convenient to drive your own or a rented car; most of the roads are well-maintained, even inexperienced drivers can get through. In Vityazevo you need to find the Niko Hotel. It is behind it, 1000 m (1 kilometer) away, that beach will be.
Travel options:
- By minibus - it’s easy to get to Vityazevo if you start from Anapa. The route will indicate the village as the destination. The driver will warn you when he stops there. It is better to get off at a stop located at a dead end near Southern Avenue. Then walk to the sea and turn north.
- By car the route is described above.
You can hire a taxi driver; the locals know the road very well and will take you there without any problems. It’s also easy to get back - first get to the stop and wait for the minibus there. Or by car along a previously specified route, only back.
Beach of the Dvoryanskoe Gnezdo Group of Companies
Vityazevo, Blagoveshchensky lane.
The area of the rented beach is about 75 m2, it is designed for 150 vacationers. Guests of the Dvoryanskoe Gnezdo complex can use the beach, sun loungers, umbrellas, and toilets free of charge. Not far from the guest complex and the beach there are many attractions and entertainment for adults and children.
The beach is fully equipped and has all the conditions to make people feel comfortable. Spacious cafes near the beaches always welcome guests. Tourists can have lunch or dinner there.
Embankment "Paralia"
The highlight of the village was the ethnic motifs of Ancient Greece. In the middle of the 19th century, on the site of the Cossack village, the first compact settlement of Pontic (Black Sea) Greeks arose in the Kuban, and among the local residents there are currently many descendants of the Hellenes.
The peculiarity of Vityazevo is the embankment, which runs not along, but perpendicular to the coastline. The alley called “Paralia” (translated from Greek as “beach”) is decorated with statues of ancient Greek gods and heroes of myths. At the beginning of the promenade there is an arch with columns.
Antique flavor is present in architectural elements, ornaments and stylized inscriptions in the spirit of Hellas.
Within walking distance from Vityazevsky beach there is the Byzantium amusement park, the Olympia water park, the penguinarium, the dolphinarium and the Nemo oceanarium, the wax museum, the aquarium and the Luxor exotarium, go-karting, and bowling. Diving centers offer diving to the sunken cargo ship.
"Highland"
From the “Small Bay” to the Anapa lighthouse there is a beach, which local residents dubbed the “High Beach”. In fact, this place does not have an official name, and therefore confusion often arises - vacationers confuse this wild beach with the real “High Coast”.
The beach was named so wild because the descent to the sea is difficult to access. However, Anapa residents prefer to swim in this particular place, because the water here is the cleanest in the resort, and besides, it does not “bloom,” which distinguishes this beach from others. The rocky bottom and crystal clear sea allow resort guests to get acquainted with the local underwater inhabitants - all you need is a mask. On the “High Coast” you can also watch dolphins swimming – they swim close to the shore. You can relax in this place even with kids, because the bottom here is flat and the depth begins gradually. The only disadvantage of this wild beach is the large stones, so lifeguards do not recommend swimming near the “High Beach” during a storm.
Hotels, boarding houses and guest houses in Vityazevo
The suburbs of Anapa are actively being developed with accommodation facilities for every taste and budget. You can check into a respectable hotel with its own beach and pool, or into an inexpensive guest house.
The private sector of Vityazevo also offers rental housing to choose from depending on the budget: from a modest overnight stay in a room to luxury apartments. Finding a suitable option for a day or for a long period of time is not a problem even at the height of the tourist season.
Hotels near the Vityazevo beach
Beach of historical Anapa (Central city)
First of all, the main promenade of the historical “heart” of the agglomeration is called “child-friendly”. We are talking about Embankment Street and Central Beach.
We are talking about a kilometer zone of stable width (from 50 to 100 m). It consists of two locations - “Sandy” and “Anapsky Coast”. We are talking about relatively shallow water, so in terms of the rate of warming up, the local water is on par with the water of Malaya Bay. Accordingly, the depth increases quite smoothly. The surface material is coarse sand. It contains no dangerous bottle shards or syringes. They're cleaning up here.
In terms of food, housing and children's entertainment, the point is the most profitable. There are 11 catering establishments here (three cafes and a Subway bistro full of sweets). In the northern half of the embankment there is a Central Market (in front of it there are several pavilions and three supermarkets). Stay at the Park Hotel, Mojito Sea or Fotini. The restless ones can enjoy trampoline slides, banana and tablet races.
During the season, the Aquazorb attraction, the Golden Beach water park and pedal boat rental are open. You should also climb the huge guy - the monument to the Vacationer.
Beach of the recreation center Lyudmila
Vityazevo, st. Silver
The rented plot of land, the area of which is about 700 m2, belongs to the Lyudmila recreation center. The beach is one of the best places in the village. If you are staying at a recreation center, you can easily get to the beach within 3 minutes. This area is perfectly equipped for a relaxing and carefree holiday: there are sun loungers, umbrellas, a changing room, and a toilet. Tourists can also ride water slides and try all kinds of water attractions. A rescue station is constantly operating on the beach.
Tourists who like to relax actively can rent jet skis, catamarans, bananas, water washers, slides, and ride other equally attractive attractions without any problems. Near the base and the beach there is the Olympia water park, which may well surprise you with new and original attractions that will provide a pleasant time for both adults and children.
