The Anapa urban district is divided into several comfortable microdistricts. The most northwestern of them is known for its attractive location - in a spacious recreational area. The conversation is about Vityazevo. The Paralia embankment is something of its cultural center - the place where holidaymakers spend the most time. Making the promenade to the beach and back, they buy souvenirs and other local products, and also take pictures against the backdrop of attractions and even exotic birds and animals.
History and description of the boulevard
Paralia Street appeared in the year the village was born - 1837. It was then, in honor of Major Vityaz (the legend of the Russian-Turkish battles of 1809), that the village of Vityazevskaya was built on this patch, and later an even larger settlement - the village of Pontic Greeks.

Moreover, the desired boulevard, having a different name at that time, was a historical, that is, stanitsa, part of the village. Only later did it receive a Greek name - thanks to new residents. It translates as “embankment”. It was here that the villagers and Greeks built shops and taverns. The driveway led directly to a wide sandy shore, from where local fishermen went for fish... Over time, there were 450 Greek families.
The descendants of some of them live in Vityazevo to this day, decorating their mansions with antique columns. Only in the 90s of the last century the territory was an unorganized passage between dilapidated houses. Everything here has been updated now.
When Anapa lovers want to move to more comfortable beaches, they come to Vityazevo. The Paralia embankment leads to vast expanses of clean sand. But it is interesting in itself. If you crave market noise and entertainment, then you have chosen the right place. During the day it’s fun for children , lovers of photo shoots and shopaholics, and at night for fans of wild life. This is the center of the village!
The map shows that Vityazevskaya embankment is not a classic option - after all, it runs perpendicular to the sea (due to the estuary ). However, this fact does not detract from its convenience. Paralia begins with 12 stylized columns that “hold” its name.

Immediately to the left of the colonnade is the entrance to the Byzantium amusement park.

Like many things in this Black Sea Greek village, it also has its own zest. Of course, in an ethnic spirit. Here is the only attraction in Russia “Labyrinth of the Minotaur” with many mythical characters of Ancient Greece, such as the Minotaur and the Gorgon Medusa.
"Labyrinth of the Minotaur"
According to ancient Greek mythology, the Minotaur (a monster with a human body and a bull's head) lived in the underground labyrinth of the island of Crete.
But the main thing for which an inquisitive tourist can come here is the Ferris wheel.

The Byzantium amusement park is open in the summer from 11:00 until the last customer. On Sundays it opens from 10 o'clock.

Next is our favorite cafe “Byzantium”, here is “Dining Room No. 1”. Then - another good canteen - “LubVik”.
There are literally countless canteens and cafes here. I’ll tell you more about catering establishments later.

To the right of Paralia is the Nemo Dolphinarium. In summer, performances (performances of dolphins, beluga whales, fur seals) take place several times a day (11:30, 19:00 and 21:30).
Because of the shopping arcades, you might not even notice the dolphinarium right away.
Address: Nikolaevsky proezd, 4 (50 meters from the entrance to “Paralia” Vityazevo, after the first fountain we look to the right into a narrow alley).
Telephone. Website: https://nemovit.ru.

Someone is riveting absolutely identical fountains all over the south of Russia. We saw exactly the same fountains on the Gelendzhik embankment near the Santa Fe cafe, on Gagarin Boulevard in Pyatigorsk near the Pirogov Baths, and somewhere else...
Fountain at Paralia
Well, of course, the ballot boxes could not be placed close to the fountain. A dubious decoration, and people might miss it.
“Paralia” Vityazevo is decorated with sculptures in the antique style. Take a closer look and you will recognize characters you have known since childhood: Argonaut Jason with a ram skin on his shoulder, handsome Apollo, ancient Greek warriors...
True, it wouldn’t hurt to update everything.
Unhappy Apollo had his hand broken off by loving ladies taking pictures with a naked handsome man. So she hangs, dangling. A sad sight...
Apollo
This is all the beauty here - from a distance it looks like nothing, but if you look closely... The implementation lags far behind the idea. The classic resort shine and gloss are sorely lacking. But taking into account the fact that “Paralia” Vityazevo was built not so long ago, already in the current century...
But my hand is injured...
On the left side of the boulevard there is a hotel with the Egyptian name “Luxor” with sculptures of ancient Egyptian pharaohs at the entrance, breaking out from the Greek atmosphere that reigns on “Paralia” Vityazevo. The pharaohs have their knees skinned by hundreds of people eager to be photographed...

In the area of Znoynaya Street there is the famous local cafe “Torn Sails” with a colorful pirate at the entrance.

The children, of course, took a photo with the pirate near the Torn Sails cafe.
If you turn left onto Golden Sands Street, you can go to the Olympia water park.
And going straight, we go out to the Central Beach.

The walk cannot be called long and tiring. And it’s only interesting the first time.
Walk along Vityazevskaya embankment
This location has a length of 1 km. It is home to many leisure facilities designed for different guests. However, on it you can also find the Byzantium amusement park , Internet cafes, shooting galleries, beautiful fountains, a decorative “mill” and other delights of landscape design (for example, a rock garden).
The pedestrian area is paved with expensive paving slabs. There are benches here and there. There are a lot of canteens, cafes and bright-looking restaurants. And for budget holidaymakers, various eateries await. Visitors remember huge bright flower beds and exquisite flowerpots on the verandas of summer restaurants.
The main feature of this residential area is the mansions of the Pontic Greeks, whose decor imitates the architecture of the times of their very ancient ancestors.
At the entrance to many hotel complexes you can find “ancient Greek” sculptures and facades decorated with unusual stucco - a specific ornament. It's called a meander. And the very layout of fashionable establishments gives rise to “temples”, porticos and colonnades. Many of these buildings have apartments designed for year-round guests.
Once upon a time, thanks to the descendants of the hardworking Hellenes, Vityazevo was surrounded on all sides by productive vineyards. Unfortunately, the Nazi occupiers cut them down. And they took all the wine reserves to Germany. Today, an interesting fact is that in Stalin’s times the film “Cotton” was filmed on Paralia Boulevard.
How to get to Paralia
It is possible to get to the embankment by public transport - from the center of Anapa, from the railway station or airport. The stop is located at the intersection of Paralia Boulevard and Southern Avenue. This is the beginning of the “triumphant” path to the sandy coast.
It’s easy to get here by car from Anapa like this:

Look at the bright and colorful photos. Paralia embankment in Vityazevo - endless rows of beach, hotel, shopping and entertainment infrastructure. Reviews about this area of the village are very different. But all of them, one way or another, have a positive connotation. It's not boring here at all. Owners of shops, retail centers and hotels tried to make their establishments the most attractive - in terms of design. That's why many people just like to take pictures here. The most popular attractions in this regard are the arch, antique porticoes and the “pseudo-mill”. They have become the “business cards” of the northwestern resort area of Anapa, as well as a place for romantic and business meetings. In conclusion - a video on the topic, enjoy watching!
Distinctive features of the embankment
The central gate is made in the Greek style. An impressive entrance to the territory welcomes every guest and guarantees a quality beach holiday. On both sides there are pavilions for the sale of souvenir paraphernalia. Also on display for buyers are beach accessories that are aimed at providing a variety of recreation under the sun.
Walking along the embankment, you can go directly to the beach. The design of the avenue, filled with Greek flavor, also deserves special attention. Exotic sculptures, monuments and design elements are found at almost every turn, interspersed with restaurants, cafes and shops. The paralia begins with an arched frame that has 12 columns. Characteristic inscriptions on the front side of the arch invite vacationers to visit this place.
After an active day, swimming in sea water and getting a southern tan under the sun, it’s nice to take a leisurely stroll along the embankment in the evening and enjoy the clean air. You can visit the summer cafe and have conversations over a glass of real wine, tasting of the best vineyards. The local residents of the village are real Greeks; hospitality to every guest dominates in their blood. They communicate well in Russian, but do not forget their foreign roots.
Attention! Everyone can take many memorable and beautiful photographs in the vastness of Vityazevo, especially in the embankment area. The infrastructure is still maintained and developed by entrepreneurs and representatives of the Administration. After all, Vityazevo did not immediately become a resort part near Anapa; it took decades. Currently, the place is characterized by its calm atmosphere. For entertainment, Anapa is located nearby. It won't be difficult to get to.
