People in those truly fertile lands where Arkhipo-Osipovka is located today have lived since time immemorial: this is evidenced by the nearby ruins of a Roman tower.
Once upon a time, on the site of the current village there was the village of Adyg, then the Mikhailovskoye fortification.
In 1840, during its defense, private Arkhip Osipov of the Tenginsky infantry regiment died heroically by blowing up powder magazines.
In 1864, on the site of Mikhailovsky, the village of Vulanskaya was founded, in 1889 it was renamed Arkhipo-Osipovka.
Arkhipo-Osipovka, or, as the locals call it, Arkhipka, is a picturesque resort village with beautiful modern houses designed to accommodate many vacationers.

The explosion killed three thousand attackers and the remaining defenders. Emperor Nicholas I ordered Arkhip Osipov to be permanently enrolled in the first grenadier company of the Tenginsky regiment.

It is assumed that at that time the tower protected local settlements and the road to them, along which the caravans of the Great Silk Road walked, from attacks by robbers and pirates.
The tower was three stories high, built from sandstone slabs held together by clay and wood. Leaving the fortress, the garrison set it on fire, and today only ruins remain of the tower.
