Fairy tales and images of Vladimir Kolesnikov

The park was created by the amazing architect-artist Vladimir Kolesnikov, a master of fairy-tale architecture and sculpture; his work on building houses and decorating estates in a fairy-tale style is known in Russia and abroad.
The children's park in Kozelsk is based on Russian folk tales and famous cartoons. Fairy-tale scenes and images were invented by Vladimir Kolesnikov and created from reinforced concrete using special technology, and then painted with specially made bright acrylic paints.

On the territory of a small cozy park you can meet the Scientist Cat and the Swan Princess from the fairy tale of A. S. Pushkin, a large Goldfish, the Snake Gorynych, Kolobok and Turnip, Postman Pechkin, Carlson, a hut on chicken legs. It is interesting for children to look inside the old oak tree with a golden chain and visit Baba Yaga, see what is there?

Take a walk through the Kozelsk children's park with my friends who were here in the spring, during the May holidays, when the greenery was blooming and the tulips were blooming, they shared with me what they saw.

"Glade of Fairy Tales"

Anyone can visit the Glade of Fairy Tales - entry to the territory is free at any time of day. In a small area there are fairy-tale characters - figures and small houses made using the art-concrete technique. Funny, unusual characters delight children and lift the spirits of adults. The figures are freely available and you can take a lot of original photographs.

The subjects of the sculptures are wide: there are folklore and literary characters, and simply unusual and funny creatures - the Cheshire cat and Merlin, pirates and heroes, soldiers of the Patriotic War of 1812 and Vikings. In an effort to preserve Russian traditions, the authors could not ignore the work of A.S. Pushkin - The Goldfish and the Old Man and the Old Woman, the Swan Queen and Prince Guidon, the learned cat and many others have left the pages of the great classic and, it seems, are about to come to life.

The main theme of "Berendeev's Kingdom" is Russian folklore: bears, Baba Yaga in a mortar, Emelya and Vasilisa the Beautiful, Whale Fish and many others. Each object is not just a separate figure, but a whole composition, an illustration for a fairy tale. There will also be Soviet animation: the heroes of Prostokvashin, the Little Engine from Romashkovo, Carlson and Buratino will delight children. The heroes of Andersen's fairy tales - Thumbelina, Mouse and Mole - are located nearby. Adults and children will be delighted to meet the characters of the "Emerald City" - the Woodcutter, the Cowardly Lion, the Scarecrow and Ellie.

The park hosts wedding photo shoots. Original photographs with huge glasses of champagne, beautiful arches, benches, gazebos will decorate the family album and profile on social networks. Humorous figures will cheer you up even on a stormy day.

The park's infrastructure is developing. You can have a snack in the cafe at the entrance or on your own, having a small picnic in the original gazebos of the park.

Imperial Courtyard

The territory of the Tsar's courtyard is closed; excursions, holidays, and master classes are held here. The ticket price is 500 rubles, the park is open on weekends from 11 to 19 hours. The visiting program is varied: a garden with rare plants, original figures and buildings in an original style. Children will be interested in the petting zoo and wild animals in enclosures. An entertainment program with Baba Yaga will captivate guests into the world of Russian fairy tales. In the center you can organize a holiday according to an original scenario, rent a gazebo or a guest house.

The Berendey Kingdom is constantly expanding. A complex for newlyweds is expected to open with an interactive program, alleys for photo sessions, and a lake. Farmerskaya Sloboda will soon begin operating with a petting zoo, an eco-products store, and a farm. Here everyone can try themselves in the role of a peasant. A separate area is allocated for fairs and festivals. It is planned to open sports facilities and the “Baba Yaga Airfield” airfield, as well as the “Bear” club for hunters.

Educating young people is one of the main tasks of the “Berendeev Kingdom”. Fairy tale festivals are held here with theatrical performances, folk costumes, performances by guslars, acrobat riders and other artists. Guests get acquainted with ancient games and amusements, learn to dance in a round dance and try to play musical instruments, and participate in master classes on ancient crafts.
