The capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan is one of the largest cities in the Urals, although not as beloved by tourists as, for example, Kazan or Yekaterinburg. It is difficult to assess whether this is good or bad. On the one hand, it is a pity that many of the historical treasures hidden here are forgotten, but, on the other hand, what will be the feelings of the lucky person who discovers these sights of the city for himself! In a word, if you are thinking about the question of where to go in Russia, go to Ufa: there is something to see here.
Monument to Salavat Yulaev
Perhaps the most symbolic landmark of Ufa is the monument to Salavat Yulaev, the national hero of Bashkortostan, associate of Emelyan Pugachev.
Monument to Salavat Yulaev
The equestrian statue of the legendary leader on the steep bank of the Belaya River amazes with its power and grandeur and can easily compete with other compositionally similar monuments: the Bronze Horseman or the Moscow sculpture of Yuri Dolgoruky - it is not without reason that this particular image of Salavat Yulaev ended up on the coat of arms of the republic and was included in one of the seven wonders of Bashkortostan. The authors of the composition are architect I. Gainutdinov and sculptor S. Tavasiev. The monument was opened on November 17, 1967.

A rider with a raised hand on a rearing horse stands on the bank of the Belaya River, visible far away when approaching the city. The sculpture symbolizes the desire of the Bashkir people for freedom. Salavat Yulaev was an associate of Emelyan Pugachev.
The monument, 10 m high and weighing 40 tons, is the largest equestrian sculpture in Europe.

Peter I approved the calculation of the distance to the largest post office in the city. In Ufa, in honor of the 450th anniversary of Bashkiria’s entry into Russia, a bronze disk with a diameter of 1.5 m was installed on the paving stones in front of the Main Post Office building, with national symbols on the edge. In Ufa, newlyweds, entrepreneurs, and students come to the sign. There is a tradition of throwing coins for luck and taking the first responsible steps from the “zero kilometer”.

Friendship Monument
A composition of two female figures personifying Russia and Bashkortostan was installed on a historical site, where the Trinity-Smolensk Cathedral was located at the beginning of the 17th century. The temple was demolished in 1956. Construction of the monument dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the voluntary entry of Bashkiria into Russia continued until 1965.
Due to karst sinkholes in the city, the monument was built according to the “vanka-vstanka” principle. The lower part of the foundation is a structure that is resistant to any shifts within the earth's surface.

Gostiny Dvor
Where should a tourist visit to satisfy historical curiosity, shop and drink coffee in a pleasant environment? All this can be obtained at Gostiny Dvor. Since 1812, Verkhnetorgovaya Square has attracted merchants from Russia and European countries.
Construction of the building in the classicist style began on the square in 1825 and lasted 40 years. The governor's associates lived there, and rich merchants opened their trade. As a result of reconstruction in Soviet times, the building lost its original appearance and interior design.
Until 1980, the premises housed a cotton mill. Reconstruction in the 90s turned Gostiny Dvor into a business and cultural center.

Chizhov's mansion
The owner of a large timber trading factory, F. E. Chizhov, built a two-story house with high arched windows and side towers for his family. Most of the 19th century objects were destroyed under Soviet rule. This is one of the few surviving mansions. But the merchant owned a third of the brick houses in those days. The architecture of the house shows the first features of the emerging Art Nouveau style.

The ancient Orthodox church can accommodate several thousand parishioners at a time. Over its more than hundred-year history, the cathedral was used for various purposes and was closed. Fountain "Seven Girls"
Seven beautiful dancing girls dressed in national costumes are located in the bowl of a fountain in the Theater Square of Ufa. Their appearance is associated with a beautiful but tragic legend about the unfortunate captives who hid from their pursuers in the lake, preferring death to life in the hands of the invaders. By the way, some wittily compare this Ufa landmark with the famous “Friendship of Peoples” fountain at VDNKh. Looks alike, right?
Fountain "Seven Girls"
In the evening, the composition looks especially impressive: they turn on music and lighting. The park around is quiet and cozy; city residents often choose it as a place for walks. The author of the sculpture is Hanif Khabibrakhmanov. The fountain was opened on June 30, 2015.

Marten house
An interesting monument is dedicated to the marten - the symbol of Ufa (this animal can be seen on the city’s coat of arms) and the heroine of many folk beliefs and legends. According to the author, the two martens on the tree are the characters of the Bashkir epic, Fanur and Laysan.
Marten house
Two lovers, separated by the will of an evil sorcerer, according to legend, were able to be together again, albeit in the form of animals. It would seem that the sculpture tells us about the power of love that overcomes any obstacles, and for some reason the city residents call this monument “Where is the salary?” The author of the composition is Khalit Galiullin. The monument was opened on July 8, 2010 as part of the Megafon Gives a Legend project.

Memorial House-Museum of S. T. Aksakov
The fate of many Ufa monuments of pre-revolutionary architecture turned out to be tragic, but the house of N. S. Zubov, the grandfather of the Russian writer S. T. Aksakov, who spent several childhood years here (1795–1797) and depicted the “family nest” in the book “Childhood Years of Bagrov” was lucky -grandson."
Memorial House-Museum of S. T. Aksakov
The building, located in the old part of the city on the banks of the Belaya River, has retained to this day not only its original appearance, but also the internal enfilade arrangement of rooms. The house, an example of wooden architecture from the late 18th century, has a reconstructed interior from the same era - this is a memorial part of the museum. The literary exhibition is composed of materials relating to the period of S. T. Aksakov’s studies in Kazan, his creativity and theatrical critical activity. One of the museum's halls (a literary and musical living room reproducing the decor of the governor's house in the second half of the 19th century) is associated with the activities of the writer's son, Gregory, governor of the Ufa province in the 60s of the 19th century.

Lenin House Museum
A small wooden house with a maisonette is another example of a miraculously surviving architectural monument. V.I. Lenin and N.K. Krupskaya spent only three weeks here in the summer of 1900, but this turned out to be sufficient grounds for the opening of a memorial museum, which began to enjoy enormous popularity. In the 1980s, a memorial zone was even organized around the house, reconstructing the appearance of pre-revolutionary Ufa: red brick houses, cobblestone streets, lanterns... This complex existed until 2002, but was demolished to make way for the construction of elite housing. But the house-museum itself remains.
Lenin House Museum
The exhibition includes recreated interiors of the early 20th century, as well as preserved photographs, paintings, documents and household items telling about V. I. Lenin’s stay in Ufa. The pride of the museum is N. K. Krupskaya’s watch and her clothes from the last years of her life.

National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan
The National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan can compete in seniority with many Russian museums: it was founded in 1864. The initiative, by the way, belonged to G.S. Aksakov (yes, that same son of the writer S.T. Aksakov and the governor of Ufa). The museum spent a long time wandering from one building to another: the Ufa Men's Gymnasium, the former guardhouse and, finally, the former Peasant Land Bank (where it is currently located).
National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan
The museum's exhibition includes four thematic blocks: history of the region, nature of the region, archeology and ethnography. Halls demonstrating the natural features of the region imitate biological environments; a separate small exhibition is associated with the Burzyan bee, a unique living symbol of Bashkortostan. The museum is also proud of its numismatic collection, in which the most valuable and interesting are flake coins from the reign of Ivan III. There is also an important exhibit associated with the name of Salavat Yulaev - this is a saber, which, according to legend, belonged to the national hero (discovered in 1910–1911).

Friendship Monument
This building, erected in memory of the voluntary annexation of Bashkiria to Russia, is located in the place where the Ufa Kremlin used to be, and then the oldest Trinity (Smolensk) Church in the city and the Resurrection Cathedral - all of these monuments have not survived to this day.
Friendship Monument
The symbolic meaning of the Friendship Monument is determined by its name and the reason for its creation. The center of the composition is two steles made of pink granite in the shape of a sword, with the handle buried in the ground. At the base of the monument are cast-iron bas-reliefs demonstrating symbolic scenes of the unity of the Russian and Bashkir peoples. On both sides of the stele there are figures of girls depicting Russia and Bashkortostan (in their hands are laurel wreaths, symbols of peace).
The monument is located in the city center on a high hill, overlooking the river; a wide, solid staircase leads to it - an extremely impressive design solution that allows you to create the most advantageous and strong impression. The authors of the composition are sculptors M. F. Baburin and G. P. Levitskaya, architects E. I. Kutyrev and G. I. Gavrilov. The monument was opened on August 7, 1965.

Architectural landmarks
Ufa, whose sights can amaze every tourist, has a unique architectural appearance. One of the architectural attractions is the Congress Hall. The building was built in 2007 for the 450th anniversary of the Republic of Bashkortostan. It is truly unique - its architecture combines a modern glazed facade and Bashkir ornament.
The Congress Hall hosts the most significant events of a republican scale. The building is located at the address: Zaki Validi Street, building 2. The Ufa Arena Ice Palace is a multifunctional complex that hosts not only hockey matches, but also ice performances, performances, shows, as well as public skating.
It is the home arena for the Salavat Yulaev hockey team. The grand opening took place on August 27, 2007. The complex includes 2 sites: large (for 8070 people) and small (for 640 people). The arena has special areas for wheelchair users to attend events. Ufa-Arena is located at the address: Lenin Street, building 114.
Not far from the Congress Hall is the main building of the republican government - the House of the Republic. The Government, the Administration of the Head of Bashkortostan, the Constitutional Court and other government bodies are located here. The building has been in operation since 1979. It looks quite impressive. The walls are made of white brick. The House of the Republic has the shape of a rectangle, close to a square.
The building in the inner courtyard is connected to the outer one. Around is Alexander Matrosov's garden, fountains and sculptures. Address of the House of the Republic: Tukaev Street, building 46. Ufa, whose attractions are also associated with sports, has its own hippodrome “Akbuzat”.
Now this is one of the best Russian equestrian sports complexes. In addition to the arena, stables and veterinary post, the 4-level building houses a hotel for competition participants and a museum. Hippodrome address: Mendeleeva, 217A. In the historical center of the city, at Revolyutsionnaya, 41, one of the tallest buildings in Ufa is located - the office of Uralsib Bank.
It includes 21 floors and has a height of 100.5 m. There are practically no high-rise buildings in this area, so the skyscraper adorns the panorama of the city, dominating the landscape.
The facade of the building is made of dark glass, gray and brown building panels. Due to its unusual shape, the building received the popular names “mobile phone” and “candle”. During the New Year's Eve, a figure of Santa Claus is installed on the roof.
Mosque-madrassah “Lala-Tulpan”
This mosque, built quite recently (in 1998), is not only the Muslim cultural and religious, but also the educational (there is a specialized school - madrasah) center of the city.
Mosque-madrassah “Lala-Tulpan”
The name of the mosque (“Lala-Tulpan” - “Flower of Revival”) reflects one of the symbols of the Muslim religion: a bud of a spring tulip just beginning to bloom. It was under the influence of this image that the external appearance of the structure was formed, especially the two octagonal minarets with red-pink tiled tops - they can be seen from afar and from various points of the city. The interior is also very impressive: colored stained glass and mosaics, oriental style and floral patterns. The mosque is open to visitors regardless of the religion of the guests.

Garden named after Salavat Yulaev
This park (or garden, as it is probably officially called due to tradition) has a long history: opened in 1900, it managed to change a number of names before it came to the modern one, and went through several transformations and reconstructions. But still, the well-chosen location (city center, near the embankment, on Sluchevskaya Gora) allowed the garden to remain popular and in demand.
Garden named after Salavat Yulaev
To date, the area has been landscaped and gazebos, stylized as photographs from the early 20th century, have been restored. If you are thinking about where to go with your child in Ufa, choose their kindergarten. Salavat Yulaeva: although there are no cafes or attractions here, there are children's playgrounds and sculptures of animals that should interest young visitors. But the most important attraction of the park is the “Lovers' Bridge” (newlyweds always come here to leave locks with their names on the railings as a guarantee of a future happy and long family life).

Gostiny Dvor in Ufa is an example of a traditional trading house building for the Russian province. It was built in the 19th century on Verkhnetorgovaya Square. Historians claim that the wooden Gostiny Dvor existed in Ufa in parallel with the Trading Rows already in the 18th century. Several times the building was destroyed by fires, but was restored. At the beginning of the 19th century, the stone building of Gostiny Dvor was supposed to become not only the highlight of Verkhnetorgovaya Square, but also the center around which the city developed.
Gostiny Dvor in Ufa is an example of a traditional trading house building for the Russian province. It was built in the 19th century on Verkhnetorgovaya Square. Historians claim that the wooden Gostiny Dvor existed in Ufa already in the 18th century. Several times the building was destroyed by fires, but was restored. At the beginning of the 19th century, the stone building of Gostiny Dvor was supposed to become not only the highlight of Verkhnetorgovaya Square, but also the center around which the city would develop.
Over time, Gostiny Dvor became a popular and privileged trading platform. Almost all the streets flocked to the square, and the city developed around it. It became a grandiose stone building by the standards of those years, with yellow-painted facades and snow-white relief details. On each of the four sides there are open galleries of 28 arched spans separated by pylons.
Until 1941, Gostiny Dvor performed its main function - trade was carried out here. But with the outbreak of the war, the Serpukhov weaving and Yartsevo spinning factories were evacuated to Ufa, on the basis of which the Cotton Mill was created. Until the early 80s, it was located in the Gostiny Dvor building. After the plant moved, the authorities were going to demolish Gostiny Dvor and build a student campus, but thanks to the public, the building was saved.
After the completion of the restoration work, Gostiny Dvor not only became one of the main attractions of the city, but also turned into a modern shopping center with developed infrastructure, underground and above-ground parking lots and numerous shops. And all this in historical scenery!
Ufa Limonarium
The limonarium in Ufa appeared in 1990 under the Park Forestry Department; seedlings were brought from Tashkent. This case is the first experience in Russia of growing lemons in greenhouse soil (and not in tubs, as was done previously). However, you can see many other fruits here: oranges, tangerines, grapefruit, citron and more than five hundred species of plants exotic for the Urals.
Ufa Limonarium
The Limonarium is in demand as a research base, an educational resource, and also a source of seedlings of rare plants (lemons, pomegranates, coffee, figs and indoor flowers) for a wide range of consumers. In addition, the trees grown here produce a good harvest: 20–22 tons per year. The Limonarium is also in demand as an excursion site among residents and guests of the city.

Church Soothe my sorrows
In 1906, in the center of Saratov, the construction of an Orthodox church (designed by P.F. Zybin) was completed in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Consolation in Sorrows and Sorrows.” According to legend, the temple icon was a copy of the miraculous image of Mount Athos.
During the period of revolutionary persecution, the temple was lucky - there were no warehouses or granaries in it, and it was not destroyed. During the years of Soviet power, a planetarium was located in the temple premises.
In 1990, the building was returned to the diocese. Over the course of three years, repairs were carried out, a chapel and a bell tower were built. In 1993, the temple was consecrated and became operational.

Garden of Culture and Recreation named after. S. T. Aksakova
The name of S. T. Aksakov, as you may have already noticed, is connected with a lot in Ufa; there is also a garden of culture and recreation named after him. And the reason for the name, I must say, is very convincing: on the site of the modern park there was once an estate that belonged to the writer’s parents (he was born there). However, the fire did not spare the historical building: already in 1821 the house burned down - the territory passed to other owners, a lake, a grove and a theater appeared here.

By the way, the lake still exists in the garden (mute swans, ducks and fish live in it), but the theater, unfortunately, has not survived. Some old trees were also cut down, including poplars, planted, as they say, by S. T. Aksakov himself. But in 2010, an unusual monument appeared in the garden, designed to perpetuate the memory of the writer and his story of the same name “The Scarlet Flower”. The design includes a plate with palm prints; newlyweds put their hands there to preserve strong and strong feelings for a long time. On the territory of the garden there are attractions and a mini-golf club.

When to go on an excursion?
When choosing beautiful places in Ufa for a photo shoot in summer or winter, you should listen to the advice of experienced tourists. They leave a lot of feedback about what time is best to go on an excursion. Ufa is located in a temperate climate, so in summer and winter the temperatures here are quite acceptable. The tourist season runs from May to September.
During the summer months the weather is humid and warm. At this time, Ufa celebrates its City Day. Outdoor recreation during the warm season will be unforgettable. Tourists prefer to go on excursions to historical places between May and September. However, the maximum prices for housing and transport are observed from June to August. Therefore, it is better to come here in May or September.
When choosing where to go in Ufa with a girl, you should consider a summer trip as the best option. At this time, numerous beaches are open in the city, you can go on a hike through the forests near the city, and see picturesque waterfalls. Fans of active recreation will appreciate rock climbing. There are many beautiful places in nature reserves.
In autumn, prices for tourist services drop sharply. At the same time, it is quite possible to walk around the city and its surroundings in light clothing. In the fall, it is recommended to go to the Shulgan-Tash cave, as well as walk through the city museums and visit the academic theater. It’s not easy to get tickets here in the summer. And their prices are higher.
At the end of autumn, winter weather sets in. Winter sports are popular at this time. It is especially interesting to ski from the slopes of the Belaya River or on equipped trails, for example, in the Ak Yort tourist complex. Skiing is also popular in winter. An influx of tourists is observed during the New Year holidays. At this time, you can attend unique, interesting performances and get into a fabulous, festive mood.
In early spring, it is better to postpone a trip to this city. Slush and unstable weather can ruin your mood. But in May it is quite possible to come to this picturesque city. Ufa celebrates the holidays of this month with pomp and joy.
Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater
Several iconic names are associated with the Ufa Opera and Ballet Theater. The building owes its appearance again to S. T. Aksakov. In 1909, in connection with the anniversary of the writer’s death, by decision of the City Duma, construction of the Aksakov People’s House began; it was to house a museum, library, gallery and auditorium. However, the revolution mixed up all plans, the premises were ready only in 1920 and passed from hand to hand until the current owners settled here in 1928.
Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater
Of course, the pride of the theater is the fact that it was here that the career of the world famous dancer Rudolf Nureyev began. In 1998, a bas-relief dedicated to him was unveiled, and the theater also hosts the annual festival of ballet art named after Rudolf Nureyev.
Another cherished memory is about Fyodor Chaliapin, who also made his debut in Ufa. His first performances took place not in the theater, but in the Assembly of the Nobility, but this event still went down in the history of the city and inspired local cultural figures to create the annual opera festival “Chaliapin Evenings in Ufa.” By the way, nearby (opposite the entrance to the theater) there is a monument to the great opera singer.
The theater has a museum that includes two halls: the first immerses in the history of the development of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater (there is also a stand associated with the figure of Fyodor Chaliapin), the second hall is entirely dedicated to the memory of Rudolf Nureyev.

Victory Park and Sokolovaya Mountain
The top of Sokolovaya Mountain is one of the highest points in the city (165 meters). From the observation deck there is a magnificent view of the city itself, the Volga and its green islands, the opposite bank and the city of Engels (Saratov is connected to it by a bridge).
The mountain received its name (one version) from the name of the robber Sokol (Sokolov), who walked around the area in the 17th century and robbed merchant caravans. There are many legends about treasures buried by “dashing people” in the vicinity of Saratov (sometimes these treasures are found).
There is an opinion among historians and local historians that the city owes its name to Sokolova Mountain. Sary-tau - yellow mountain - perhaps this is what the Turkic nomads called it.
At the top of Sokolova Mountain in 1982, the “Cranes” spread their wings - a monument to fellow countrymen who died during the war. The author of the composition is Yu.I. Menyakin. 12 cranes fly over the city, reminding those living today of the great feat.
Victory Park on Sokolova Mountain - an open-air museum of military equipment. The park was founded for the 30th anniversary of the Victory (1975).
Over the years, an entire historical and patriotic complex has been formed, numbering 180 pieces of equipment. Agricultural machinery working in the rear is also not forgotten.
The heart of the complex is the Saratov State Museum of Military Glory. Its servants managed to collect a huge collection (almost 27,000 units) of weapons, awards, and documents from the last war.
Bashkir State Art Museum named after. M. V. Nesterova
M. V. Nesterov, a famous Russian artist, is also a native of Ufa (his monument appeared in the park next to the museum in 2021). In 1913, he donated a substantial collection to the city, the core of which consisted of paintings by the donor himself, but besides them there were works by outstanding Russian masters: I. E. Repin, I. I. Shishkin, V. D. Polenov, V. E. Makovsky, I. I. Levitan, A. N. Benois, N. K. Roerich and others. To display the resulting treasures, it was necessary to select a building; Since the Aksakov People's House was not yet ready, they decided to use the mansion of M. A. Laptev - an example of the Art Nouveau style of the early 20th century. In 2014, another building was built for the gallery, where temporary exhibitions are now organized.
Bashkir State Art Museum named after. M. V. Nesterova
Later, the collection was actively replenished from the Moscow and Petrograd museum funds; then the works of K. A. Korovin, I. N. Kramskoy, V. G. Perov, M. A. Vrubel, V. A. Serov, M. F. Larionov, N. S. Goncharova, etc. were obtained. Almost miraculously, a collection of paintings by David Burliuk turned out to be found - the largest in Russia (includes 37 works of different genres from the period 1915-1918, when the artist was in Bashkiria). The museum also exhibits collections of ancient Russian and Russian art of the 18th–20th centuries, Western European art of the 16th–19th centuries, as well as fine and decorative art of Bashkortostan.

Sofyushkina alley
The only alley of the classical type in Ufa stretches along the historical part of the city for eight hundred meters, passing through the Governor's House, the First Cathedral Mosque, Salavat Yulaev's garden and other memorable places. Do you know who it was named after? Of course, in honor of the representative of the Aksakov family, Sofia Alexandrovna Aksakova (nee Shishkova), the wife of Grigory Aksakov, the son of the writer. At her request, the alley was founded in the 1860s, connecting Ushakovsky Park and the city's first theater. Initially, this place was called the Sophia or Theater Garden, but after the death of Sofia Alexandrovna, the current name stuck in the mouths of the residents.
Sofyushkina alley
After the revolution, the alley fell into disrepair; only in 2012, landscaping work was carried out: new trees were planted, benches were installed and the area was surrounded by a border, and a cast-iron arch was installed at the entrance, perpetuating the popular name.

Lenin Park
The area on which the park is located was a pasture for livestock until the mid-nineteenth century, until the new governor, who arrived in Ufa, decided to change the view from the window. The square turned into a park and bore the name of Ushakovsky. It was the first open holiday park, as previously there was only one private one. The park acquired swings, a carousel, and also became a favorite place for cyclists. After the October Revolution, the park became known as Freedom Park. It is here that the graves of those killed during the revolution and civil war are located. At the moment there is a memorial there. Only two surnames are indicated on it; in addition, Gafuri, a classic of local literature, was buried in the park.
The park was once again renamed in honor of Alexander Matrosov, whose monument was erected there. And later and to this day the park became the Park named after V.A. Lenin. On its territory there is also a memorial stone that perpetuates the adoption of the state sovereignty of the republic, the Northern and Southern fountains, and awards of the BASSR.

Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary
The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary became a cathedral recently (in 2021), although it has existed in Ufa for quite a long time. A small church on this site was founded at the end of the 19th – beginning of the 20th centuries; it was completed by 1909, crowned with bells, and consecrated. But not for long. After the revolution, the temple did nothing at all: it was closed in 1934, the premises were transferred to Bashkino for the installation of sound cinema, then to an aircraft workshop, then to a cinema. In 1991, when the building was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church, reconstruction began with the expectation of a new status - the cathedral of the diocese; a bell tower was built, the temple was expanded (now it is the most spacious in Ufa and can accommodate up to several thousand people at a time). Among the relics stored here are some of the relics of saints, several especially revered by Orthodox icons.
Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary
The modern appearance of the cathedral differs from the original one (in the “brick style” of pre-Petrine Rus'): sky blue, with golden domes, 21 m high (with a bell tower - 47 m). In 2004, a bust of Denis Davydov, a hero of the War of 1812, was unveiled on the adjacent territory.

One of the youngest parks in Ufa is Pervomaisky Park, founded in 1991. The park occupies a large area with a lake in the central part. Here, right in the heart of the forest lake, a fountain gushes. Walking along the alleys of the park you can come across interesting sights, including the “Wishing Bench” and the “Arch of Love”, which make all your dreams come true.
The park is open all year round. In summer, here you can have fun on the rides and sit in the shade of the green crowns, hiding from the sun. In autumn and spring you can enjoy picturesque forest scenes, and in winter you can go ice skating or skiing.
On the territory of the park there is the Mashinostroiteley Palace of Culture, where creative evenings are often held.
Park named after Yakutov
At the beginning of the last century, near the picturesque Soldatskoe Lake, on the site of an ancient cemetery, the townspeople set up a park. A fence and drinking fountain were installed. Gradually, the first alleys began to be planted and flower beds were created. Under Soviet rule, several sculptures were installed in the park.
Today, the park has modern attractions, children's and volleyball courts, a shooting range, a railway for young visitors, a photo studio and boat rentals.
Embankment of the Belaya River
Many cities in Russia (and not only) are located on rivers, and, of course, the embankment has always become an important place, the center of public life, and often the only way of communication and trade. In Ufa, the “main water artery” is the Belaya River. The street running along it is called Embankment; it was recently reconstructed and landscaped (albeit partially, but even this had to wait quite a long time), so now townspeople and tourists come here again.
Embankment of the Belaya River
There is an observation deck with views of the opposite shore, bicycle paths, and walking areas. In the future, it is planned to make one of the bridges over Belaya pedestrian and thus organize both banks into a single zone.
- Address: st. Embankment.
- Cost of visiting: free.
Night Ufa
For nightlife lovers, Ufa offers many clubs. One of the best is the JET club on Pushkina, 40. It is distinguished by a dance floor with a powerful sound. At the club you can not only dance, but also sing karaoke, drink a cocktail and have a snack, smoke a hookah and even play bowling. In summer the swimming pool is open to visitors.
Thanks to professional face control, you don’t have to worry about your safety while staying in the establishment.
The Skazka club will also help you spend a bright and fiery night. On the ground floor there is a dance floor, sofas for relaxing and one of the bars with drinks for every taste. There are tables on the second floor balconies. A special feature of the club is the frequent holding of themed parties, dance competitions and show programs. The best DJs not only from Russia, but also from abroad perform here.
Let's sum it up
Of course, the tourism potential of Ufa is not exhausted by all of the above; something always remains behind the scenes. It will be all the more interesting to discover some new, unknown and amazing places that always exist in any city: a small provincial one or a well-advertised million-plus city. However, if you are not yet ready to wander through unfamiliar streets and become a discoverer, you can always use a ready-made list.
In Ufa, they carefully preserve history, cherish the memories of folk heroes and famous countrymen, tell ancient legends again and again and embody them in stone and metal - for posterity.
