We noticed that there is an unimaginable number of canteens in Lazarevskoye! Vacationers in the reviews especially about - some even consider it the best and most inexpensive. The canteens “Salyut”, “Oreshnik”, “Mezzanine”, “Di Roma”, and Arnamal also have high ratings.

Transport

From the village of Lazarevskoye you can easily get to other areas of Greater Sochi. Bus number 77 runs to Sochi railway station.

There are only 4 internal city routes in Lazarevka: No. 67-70. You can drive around the village for 26 RUB. For convenience, an up-to-date schedule is posted at almost every stop indicating the exact time of arrival of buses.

Compared to Khosta, Central Sochi and Adler, there are very few minibuses in Lazarevskoye. And this is rather a plus - the roads are much calmer without them. But there are plenty of taxis. You can ride comfortably for about 200 RUB. In the summer, taxi drivers become more picky, the fare increases 5 times, or even more.

How to avoid getting an infection at sea

Intestinal infections are a really big problem in southern resorts. Rotavirus and norovirus are more often contracted by children and become seriously ill, but adults also suffer from it. Be sure to pack a first aid kit for your vacation and don’t forget your compulsory medical insurance policy. Young children should definitely be vaccinated against rotavirus.

In order not to catch an intestinal infection on the Black Sea (or indeed on any sea, even abroad), you need to follow basic hygiene rules:

  • Do not swallow sea water.
  • Wash fruits, vegetables and hands thoroughly before eating. Wash with running or bottled water, not in the sea!
  • Drink bottled or boiled water.
  • Don't buy food from street vendors.
  • Do not take perishable food to the beach.
  • If you cook yourself, pay attention to hygiene and cook and fry the food well.
  • Make sure that your child does not put stones, sand, soil or dirty hands into his mouth.

What to bring

In the mountains near the resort village there are many medicinal herbs that strengthen the immune system. A trip to get them is a separate adventure. If extracting herbs yourself is not part of your plans, just take a stroll through the souvenir shops. There, in addition to beautifully packaged healing infusions, there will be souvenir bottles with herbal balms.

The world's northernmost Krasnodar tea is grown on the local mountain plantations. Finding it in Russian stores is almost impossible. A box of red, black, green or yellow Krasnodar tea will be an excellent gift for a connoisseur.

The world's northernmost Krasnodar tea is grown on the local mountain plantations. Finding it in Russian stores is almost impossible.

At the local market you can buy good chestnut honey, chacha, wine and churchkhela. Another edible souvenir from Lazarevskoe is the so-called Adyghe salt, very popular in the Caucasus. It is ordinary table salt mixed with aromatic seasonings.

As at any seaside resort, Lazarevsky’s souvenir shops sell scatterings of sea stones and shells, themed magnets and jewelry. Here you can also find Olympic-themed souvenirs: T-shirts, caps and, of course, toys that symbolize the Olympic Games in Sochi.

Excursions and entertainment

In central Sochi there are plenty of parks for walking, but in Lazarevskoye you can only walk along the embankment and in the park of culture and recreation - not a lot. The park will be interesting for children, as there are many attractions. From the Ferris wheel - they say that it is the tallest in Russia - a beautiful view opens up.

The beaches offer standard entertainment: “banana” - 300 ₽, “bun” - 400 ₽, “sofa” - 400 ₽ (the names are so funny!). You can also rent a catamaran, go fishing in the sea, or go diving - 2500-4000 rubles per dive.

We came to Lazarevskoye to see the most interesting thing - nature. There are so many beautiful sights around the resort! Many can be reached by car or bus. Go to the Svir Gorge, Mamedovo Gorge, “Berendeevo Kingdom”, Crab Gorge, look at the Volkonsky dolmen, the “Miracle Beauty” waterfall, Nadzhigo, Psydakh and Shapsug waterfalls, 33 waterfalls. Entrance to all natural places costs 200 ₽ per person.

And it’s easy to get to other interesting places in Sochi - just take the train! Well, if you don’t want to deal with logistics, take a tour. Check out Tripster for excursions from Lazarevskoe:

Sights of Lazarevskoye

Sights await on every street. In this way the village is very similar to Sochi. But there are only a few of the most outstanding ones for which you can come here.

Ferris wheel

This is the largest Ferris wheel in Russia / photo from the official website
The wheel can be seen from almost anywhere in the village. But the view from it will not be as fabulous as you might imagine. Lazarevskoye has dense buildings. Most of the view is the rooftops and the sea.

The village is surrounded by mountains, against which the wheel seems small. It’s definitely worth a ride once, but there’s nothing special about this attraction. If you are not afraid of heights, then buy a ticket not for a closed booth, but for open seats, this will give you a more vivid impression.

The Ferris wheel in Lazarevsky has its own website, but the information on it is rarely updated, and the prices indicated may not correspond to reality.

One ticket will cost approximately 400 rubles .

In Sochi, on Mount Akhun, there is another Ferris wheel, it is more than two times smaller, but it is more fun to ride on it.

Akhun is one of the highest mountains in Greater Sochi. This small wheel offers a more breathtaking view and the view is not blocked by other mountains.

You can learn about other attractions of Mount Akhun from a separate material about the city of Sochi.

Central embankment

The length of this embankment is only one kilometer, so you can walk it in winter in 5-10 minutes. In summer you won’t be able to walk along the embankment at a brisk pace. This is the epicenter of the resort industry with all kinds of entertainment - cafes, restaurants, shops with souvenirs and beach goods, beauty and massage salons and other entertainment.

For example, a couple of years ago the iron throne from the acclaimed Game of Thrones . For a small fee, anyone can take a photo on it. At every turn you will be invited to excursions and events. It is on the embankment that you clearly feel that Lazarevka looks like a large anthill.

After sunset, karaoke and nightclubs begin to operate, and street musicians come to the embankment. Another fascinating show is the living statues. If the made-up artist does not move, it is impossible to distinguish him from a real stone statue.

If you happen to be vacationing in nearby villages and come to Lazarevskoye for one day, don’t leave on an early train, everything interesting begins closer to night.

Oceanarium "Tropical Amazon"

The bright world of marine inhabitants of the Lazarevsky Aquarium / photo from the official website
Don’t confuse it with another aquarium, come to the “Tropical Amazon”, the best in all of Greater Sochi.

Opening hours and prices on the website: oceanarium-amazonka.ru

Finding this aquarium is very easy. It is located a five-minute walk from the railway station, next to the only McDonald's in the village. Like everything in Lazarevsky, Amazon is very compact, but allow at least a couple of hours to visit it. The entrance to the aquarium is designed in the style of a cobra's lair; first you enter the first floor.

Ground floor - oceanarium

The first floor is a huge aquarium with giant fish, some of them look like prehistoric creatures from the time of dinosaurs.

Not all fish are large. Piranhas are very small, slightly larger than the palm of an adult. But these fish are very dangerous, pay attention - some of them do not have one eye or even two. There are also katrans , which is the name of the small Black Sea shark.

There is heavy humid air on the ground floor. It feels like you are inside the aquarium yourself. If you move away from the aquarium and then approach it again, the marine world will open from a new angle. You can endlessly move from one aquarium to another, and observe different species each time.

It takes at least an hour to visit the first floor. If you're lucky, you'll get to fish feeding.

In front of the stairs to the second floor there are small open ponds with turtles and koi carp. Turtles can be picked up. Koi carps have also become tame, children often stroke them, and the fish do not even try to swim away. After visiting the first floor, it seems that the second floor will not be so interesting, but this is a misconception.

Second floor - penguinarium, exotarium

You will be surprised when you see that the aquariums are open. Being on the second floor, visitors look down on them. From this angle, they can be viewed again and again, especially when those same huge dinosaur-like fish swim on the surface in pairs.

There are enclosures around the aquariums; there are many funny animals in them.

It is difficult to find a time for all the inhabitants to be awake, so it is better to leisurely walk around the second floor several times. At first it may seem to you that the enclosure is empty, but when you approach it again you will see a fancy rodent, chameleon or something else in it. Sloths live here, but it is extremely rare to see them in motion.

The cutest inhabitants are tiny monkeys - white-eared marmosets and red-footed tamarins. The height of the largest individual does not exceed 15 cm. They constantly jump around the enclosure and examine visitors. If the marmoset likes you, he will look at you for a long time, stretching his paws as if he wants to say hello.

Penguins

Three penguins live in an enclosure behind glass.

The enclosure is designed in such a way that its lower part is water, and in the middle there is an artificial ice floe on which the penguins walk. All three go out onto the ice floe and make interesting movements, as if they are bowing to visitors. Sometimes they just stand still, but in a moment everything can change - one of them will jump into the water, and the other two will suddenly change places.

Looking at the penguin's clumsiness on land, it is difficult to imagine that he is so fast and graceful in the water, that he jumps out of the water so deftly as if he were flying. Watch the penguins for at least 10-15 minutes, during which time they will demonstrate many interesting skills.

“Tropical Amazon” is a real attraction of Lazarevsky, it’s worth coming to the village just for it.

Dolphinarium "Lazarevsky"

Dolphin therapy at the Lazarevsky Dolphinarium / photo from the official website.
Located next to the Tropical Amazon, in the same building as McDonald's.

Thanks to this proximity, this McDonald's is not quite ordinary. At the very end of the hall there is a window, it looks like a plain blue screen. If you get close to the thick glass, it becomes clear that the blue is not the background of the screen, but the blue of the water column in the pool. This is the main arena of the dolphinarium. If you stand near the window for a few minutes, you are likely to see sea life swimming by.

Seeing a dolphin is every time like the first time.

Programs at the aquarium are on schedule. You can check the time and cost on the website: delfin-laz.ru

Not only Black Sea dolphins live here, but also beluga whales, fur seals and even a real huge walrus. His name is Poof. Thanks to good care, dolphins reproduce in captivity; dolphin calves are shown to visitors.

The performances at the dolphinarium are very exciting, but the most vivid emotions are swimming with dolphins. Many people later say that they see these moments in their dreams. It really brings a very strong impression. Dolphins are very sociable, they gladly accept a person into their company, swim next to him, allow themselves to be stroked, and begin to play.

Water park "Starfish"

The entrance to the water park is directly opposite the entrance to the dolphinarium. He has his own website: akvapark-mz-lazarevskoe.ru

This is an open water park with many slides for adults, slides and separate areas for children. There are swimming pools with sea water, for some it is not comparable to swimming in the sea, others find the sea pool more convenient. In any case, the pool has an advantage over the sea - it cannot be stormy.

The water park area is well maintained. There are cafes and other retail outlets. As with any water park, you are not allowed to bring your own food or drinks.

When is the best time to relax?

The climate in Lazarevskoye is very similar to Sochi. The most comfortable months, according to reviews from vacationers, are June, September and October, when there is no heat and high humidity. At this time it is better to come with children, as well as elderly people.

If you don’t need the sea, but just want to take a break from the hustle and bustle and take a walk in nature, then come in May. There are few tourists, and the weather is excellent.

We were in Lazarevskoye in October, at the end of the season. The sea was rough and almost no one was swimming. But many sunbathed on sun loungers and walked along the sea.

July and August are the peak season, and during the day the temperature often rises to +30°C and above. Sea water in summer is +24…+26°C, and in shallow water it can be even warmer.

Beaches of Lazarevskoye

Lazarevskoye has the cleanest and most well-groomed beaches on the coast of the Krasnodar Territory.

The village is very beautiful, and the coastline matches it. All beaches are covered with small pebbles; in some areas there is a strip of sand at the entrance to the water. The lines of most beaches are not marked in any way; they merge into one another.

The holiday season begins in early spring and lasts until October, until the sea cools down. It is very crowded here at this time.

If you need a relaxing holiday, then Lazarevka is definitely not for you. If you are interested in well-kept beaches with developed infrastructure and entertainment at every turn, then this is the place for you.

Central Beach

It stretches along the central embankment, which is a landmark in itself.

I’ll tell you about the embankment a little lower, first about the beach. It has absolutely everything you could want - rental of sun loungers and umbrellas, water attractions for children and adults, shops, catering establishments from small vans to reputable restaurants, miniature massage and beauty salons.

The beach line here is very wide, in some places it reaches 70 meters.

To stay closer to the sea, you need to arrive at dawn or even half an hour earlier.

Marine pedicures have been popular in Lazarevskoye for several seasons ; they are performed by fish called Garra Rufa.

There are many places along the beach that provide this procedure. The visitor sits down and lowers his feet into an aquarium with small fish; they begin to pinch off dead skin cells from the feet. The procedure feels like light tingling. Some people find it pleasant, while others, on the contrary, do not like it, but the Garra Rufa outlets have no end to visitors during the season.

Flamingo Beach

If you drive from Tuapse, this beach will be the first one you see. It belongs to the Flamingo Hotel, but admission to it is free for everyone. The level of amenities and services is not inferior to the central beach. It is convenient to relax here with children - the coastline is very flat, there are no sharp descents.

One of the most interesting activities on the beach is scuba diving.

During the dive, a professional instructor is nearby. If you want to experience this personally, choose calm days. Rolling water impairs visibility, as there is sand at the bottom.

There are also always a lot of people on this beach.

Svirsky beach

Located near the gorge of the same name, entry to the beach is free.

When locals go to the sea, they prefer Svirsky Beach. This beach is different from others - there are fewer people here, but it cannot be called deserted.

If you vacation here, be sure to visit the Svir Gorge.

Entrance to the gorge costs about 100 rubles. You will walk several kilometers along a path that goes past waterfalls and real dolmens, huge boulders of bizarre shapes. This is a good way to cool down after the beach. The gorge is pleasantly cool even in summer.

Rest

Adherents of civilized entertainment also have where and how to spend time in these places. Like any resort town, Lazarevskoye invites vacationers to restaurants, cafes, and nightclubs. The whole family can enjoy, for example, active fun in the water park. One of them, called “Starfish”, is located right in the center of the village, not far from the beach.

In addition, a visit to the dolphinarium guarantees a great time. Sea creatures are happy to put on spectacular shows and communicate with guests.

Village climate

The climate in this area is very important for vacationers who prefer Lazarevskoye. The village, from May to November, is considered a real paradise in terms of weather. August is especially favorable. The sea temperature allows you to enjoy sea diving for almost six months. Piercing cold winds are stopped by the Caucasus mountain range. Even in winter the weather here is quite mild and comfortable.

Organized tourists, as a rule, upon arrival at the place, study the offers of local travel agencies and choose excursions. After all, the places where Lazarevskoye is located are famous for their unique natural creations and historical monuments.
