Places for a photo shoot, walk and picnic. We tell you how to fall in love with autumn and spend the weekend in a way that will make your friends and followers on social networks jealous
In autumn, you begin to truly appreciate good weather and the opportunity to spend time outdoors. In the next few days, weather forecasters promise (if they are not deceiving again) sun and temperatures above 20 degrees. Tolk and the mobile operator Tele2 have compiled a guide to the fun and unfrequented places of Barnaul, where you can have a great time and take pictures that will definitely get a lot of likes on social networks.
Wild beach next to the Barnaulsky sanatorium
In autumn, in the area of the Barnaulsky sanatorium and the Lisavenko arboretum, the Ob becomes very shallow. And a huge sandy beach appears where you can have a picnic and have a photo shoot. Photos and videos can be immediately posted online - the Internet connection here is excellent, better than wi-fi in some establishments in Barnaul. Tele2, for example, improved coverage in Barnaul in the first half of the year, concentrating on the suburbs and holiday villages. Thus, 11 new 4G base stations were built in the vicinity of Barnaul, which allowed residents to stay online.
The beach of the shallow Ob is ideal for large groups. Firstly, you still have to walk to the beach (the road is not terrible, but long), and secondly, since the place is quite wild, it will be a little uncomfortable for one or two people here.

But at your disposal is a long sand spit, picturesque landscapes and huge space for active games: badminton, volleyball, or other mobility.
If you want to have a picnic and make a fire, you will have to carry firewood with you. Also, take trash bags with you: there are no trash cans here and no one cleans the area, just everyone does it for themselves.
Ob embankment
The embankment is connected by a wide staircase to Nagorny Park. You can climb along it to the giant letters “Barnaul”.
Here you can relax, admire the Ob River and the panorama of the city. There is a cafe, benches, shade canopies, lanterns and flowerpots. Festive events are also held on the embankment. Nearby is the River Station, where you can book a boat trip.
Barnaul Arboretum named after. Lisavenko
The second half of September is ideal for walking around the arboretum. The huge park contains a unique collection of shrubs, trees and flowers for Siberia. For example, now is not too late to admire roses that are actively blooming.
There are also two small but colorful ponds, huge oak and spruce trees, a linden alley, cozy gazebos and an old, but very “Instagrammable” staircase.
Entrance to the territory of the arboretum is paid, but the ticket costs symbolic money, and you can walk here all day. Especially in the fall, when the trees become colorful and the leaves have not even thought of falling.

Also in the arboretum you can visit the observation deck, which offers a magnificent panorama of the river and the right bank of the Ob. Shoot stories, go live or make video calls to show this beauty online.
Urban Adventures
Barnaul
According to documents, the city was founded in 1739, during the construction of a copper and silver smelter. You can still walk through the historical ruins - various excursions are available. But this is only a small part of what you can learn about the history of the city. Barnaul is rightfully considered the cultural heritage of Russia, and museum lovers are in for a pleasant surprise here. The sightseeing map will look like this:

Monuments
Barnaul
There are quite a lot of monuments in the city. Among them is a monument to Viktor Tsoi, a life-size T-34 tank and a beautiful memorial to settlers in Altai. On the way, you can look at the architecture of the famous convent, the Znamensky Church and the Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov.
The architecture of the city is strongly reminiscent of the streets of St. Petersburg. Therefore, a walk along the cozy streets will bring a lot of positive emotions. For those who come with children, another attraction will help to take their mind off historical values – a large-scale zoo. It features predators, primates, ungulates and birds. In addition, a contact department with pets was built on its basis. The ostrich farm will bring even more emotions - here you can feed the birds directly from your hands, ride a donkey, and communicate with its affectionate and friendly inhabitants.
Nagorny Park and Malo-Tobolskaya
Which Barnaul resident doesn't love this place? The landscaped area of VDNKh Park and the embankment turns into almost the most popular walking place on weekends. A gorgeous view of the city, the opportunity to go down to the river, feed the squirrels and in 15 minutes walk to the pedestrian street - Malo-Tobolskaya.
In the warm season, the “Barnaul Arbat” is constantly in full swing with life: live music, dancing, the opportunity to sit in the summer cafes of numerous establishments, or just take tea with you (for example, sea buckthorn or lime) and take a walk to the city center.

You can travel with tents (if the time is chosen correctly) or as part of an excursion group. Altai Territory has a good tourism infrastructure. At all notable points there are tourist centers and hotels of different price categories. Camping definitely won't get wild.

Raid on summer verandas
While it’s warm, you need to have time to drink coffee or tea on the summer verandas of Barnaul establishments. Siberians will no longer have such an opportunity, perhaps until May 2022.
Many cafes and restaurants have not yet rolled up their summer clothes, and those who are afraid of freezing are given blankets. What could be better than a leisurely and warm evening in your favorite cafe with loved ones. Perhaps these are the memories that warm you in winter no worse than a warm down jacket.
In the city itself, there will be no problems with the Internet either - you can post your own photos and look at other people’s. Back in March, the Main Radio Frequency Center examined Internet speed in Barnaul. The speeds of different operators ranged from eight to ten megabits per second, and the fastest was Tele2 - more than 10 megabits per second for downloading and 2.5 for transmission. Since then, Tele2 has increased Internet speeds by expanding its 4G frequency band and placing additional equipment on city communication towers.
Zero kilometer
Located opposite the regional government building. This is a place for walking, decorated with large flower beds and two fountains. There are benches. Here you can ride bicycles and rollerblades and have a good time with your family. And also take a photo at the “Zero Kilometer” itself - a beautiful exhibition with a vase and floor mosaic in the form of Zodiac signs.
