Route

If you live in Moscow and want to relax in Feodosia, then you have several options available to you:

  1. By air transport. Simferopol airport has international status, but after the annexation of Crimea to Russia, it serves only domestic flights. From there you can get to Feodosia by road - taxi or bus.
  2. By train. You have to get to one of the cities of the Krasnodar Territory, and continue your journey by ferry and bus. Or take the train following the crossing to Simferopol.
  3. When traveling with your own vehicle, you will again have to take the ferry. Or you can leave your car in one of the parking lots and continue your journey by ferry or bus.

Lovers of sea walks can cross the Kerch Strait on a catamaran or pleasure boat.

Trains that previously ran through Ukraine have been canceled today. You can only travel this way with your own vehicle, but in this case you will need to cross borders twice. This makes the road very difficult.

Single ticket

For the convenience of vacationers, a new service has been introduced that offers the purchase of one ticket from Moscow, as well as any other Russian city, to Feodosia. The price includes travel by all types of transport to Anapa, ferry crossing and travel to Feodosia. The same tickets can be purchased for trips to other resort towns in Crimea.

Tourists are offered several transport options. If you purchase a single ticket, you will not need to compare routes and check arrival and departure times. The transport company did all this for you.

The only thing that needs to be taken into account is that you will have to return from Crimea along the same route. If you enter the peninsula through the Kerch Strait, you will not be able to return back through Ukraine. At the Ukrainian border you will be detained for illegal entry. This may result in penalties.

How to get to Feodosia from Moscow by train

Summer is about to come into its own, and it's time to start planning your summer vacation.
If you have chosen Feodosia as such a place or are planning to do so in the future, in this article we will tell you how you can get to this resort from St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kerch, Yalta and Simferopol, and also advise you on the best way to get around Feodosia itself . If you remember, Feodosia is a large city located on the eastern coast of the Crimean Peninsula. This is the place where the famous Russian seascape painter Aivazovsky was born, and where tourists love to spend their holidays.

If you have already been to Crimea, then you probably know that there are two ways to get to the peninsula - by flying to Simferopol airport by plane or crossing the Kerch Strait by ferry.

The first option is the fastest and, at the same time, not even the most expensive. So, if you fly from Moscow, you can find round-trip tickets for 9-10 thousand in the summer.

If you don't want to fly, you can travel by train using a single ticket.

How to get to Feodosia from Simferopol airport

By public transport

The bus station is located near the exit from the airport. If you don’t want to wait, you can buy a ticket through the website or at the ticket office - it is located near the terminal.

Buses start running from 05:40 and run until 20:30, making about 14 trips per day.

The ticket price ranges from 280 to 340 rubles, plus 10% for baggage allowance. You can purchase it at the ticket office at the bus station or from the driver. In the second case, the price will be slightly higher, but you won’t have to stand in line.

The journey will take about 3.5 hours.

There is another option: you can take minibus or bus No. 49 and get to the bus station, and also take trolleybus 9 or bus 98 to the Kurortnaya bus station - from there there are many more flights to Feodosia, approximately every 15 minutes.

Feodosia has its own well-equipped 24-hour bus station, where you can eat, leave things in a storage room and visit the toilet.

By taxi

In this case, the trip will be faster and in more comfortable conditions. Taxi drivers will be waiting for you right near the exit from the airport, ready to take you anywhere on the peninsula. Unfortunately, as a rule, they quote inadequate prices.

If you decide to choose this method of transportation, we recommend that you book your transfer online in advance. You will have to pay 2,700 rubles for a car, which is quite acceptable if you are traveling with a family or a group. You can try your luck and try to look for travel companions.

A driver with a sign will meet you at the airport, and he will take you to the hotel. This has its advantage, since the bus station in Feodosia is located on the outskirts of the city, and if your hotel is not located somewhere near it, you will still have to get to the hotel.

By car

To do this you will need the P-23 highway. Following it, you will pass Mazanka, Zuya, Belogorsk, Kurskoye and Stary Krym. We warn you that there are many sharp mountain turns on the route and there are quite a lot of drivers in the velvet season, so be careful.

How to get to Feodosia from Kerch

By public transport

If you are planning to travel from Kerch, then know that there are excellent transport links between these two cities. Buses run quite often and almost around the clock.

A ticket costs from 160 to 230 rubles. It is better to buy it in advance at the Kerch bus station.

The journey will take about 2 hours.

In addition, there is an electric train from Kerch, departing at 16:25 and arriving in Feodosia at 19:35.

By car

From Kerch you can get there in over an hour along the M-17 highway, passing Gornostaevka, Leninskoye, Lugovoe and the village of Primorsky.

How to get to Feodosia from Moscow

By train

Trains to Feodosia depart from the Kursky station; you will arrive at the city embankment, located near the picturesque bay. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or through the Russian Railways website. You've probably already heard about a single ticket, we recommend reading about it in more detail, since there are no direct flights between Russia and Crimea yet.

There are two options: either the train arrives at the Kerch Strait, and there it is transported to the other side without disembarking passengers, or the train goes to Krasnodar or Anapa, and there passengers transfer to buses to the resort they need.

By bus

If you want to travel without transfers, you can use this type of transport. It runs once a day and departs from Novoyasenevskaya station. Several buses depart from the Kursk railway station, from the Krasnogvardeyskaya and Kotelniki metro stations and from the Yuzhnye Vorota bus station.

The journey will take about 25 hours. It is better to buy tickets in advance, and this can only be done at the station ticket office. A ticket costs about 3,000 rubles.

By car

The fastest and shortest way: you will need the M-2 “Crimea” highway. You will pass by Tula, Orel, Kursk and Belgorod. Next you will need to cross the Ukrainian border. If you don't want to stand in line, come on a weekday closer to night. It will be nice to have your passport, PTS, insurance and power of attorney with you.

After passing the border, you will need to drive along the highway connecting Kharkov and Simferopol. In Dzhankoy, turn onto the M-17 highway, along which you will arrive in Feodosia.

There is another route, but it goes mostly through Russia and involves a ferry crossing.

You will need the M-4 Don highway, all the way to Kislyakovskaya station. Turn there and go to Timoshevsk. And further, past Slavyansk-on-Kuban and Timryuk along the P-251 highway to the port "Caucasus". The ferry will be waiting for you there. Having crossed, you will find yourself in Kerch. From there there is a highway along which, after 98 kilometers, you can arrive in Feodosia. The downside of this option is the long queue on the ferry.

How to get from St. Petersburg to Feodosia

By train

Unfortunately, there are no direct trains to Feodosia; you can go with a transfer: first get to Dzhankoy by train on the St. Petersburg-Evpatoria route, and from there get to Feodosia. Other cities where you can make a transfer are Orel, Kursk, Tula and Moscow. The journey takes on average 2 days and 2 hours. A one-way ticket costs from 5,200 rubles per person.

By bus

Here you will also need a transfer, and in Moscow. The bus departs from Moskovsky Station and arrives at Komsomolskaya Square. The journey will take 9 hours, the ticket costs about 1100 rubles. In Moscow you will need to change to a bus going straight to Feodosia. We talked about it above.

By car

First you will need to get to Moscow, passing Veliky Novgorod, Vyshny Volochek and Tver. This trip will take you a day and another three hours. Further from Moscow in the manner described above.

There is another route, but it is quite long: through Belarus. There you will need to cross the border twice: the first time after Neveli, and the second time after Gomel (Belarusian-Ukrainian border).

By plane

You can fly to Moscow in an hour and a half, paying about 2,500 rubles. The flight departs from Pulkovo. Next, use one of the methods described above. You can look for other connecting flights between St. Petersburg and Simferopol using one of the special services. One of them is aviasales.ru

How to get from Krasnodar to Feodosia

This city is often mentioned because there are several ways to get there. Firstly, this city is part of a single ticket. However, you will have to make several transfers and pay a hefty sum. Unfortunately, the train takes a detour, sometimes through Moscow. In this case, the journey will take 2-3 days, and you will have to pay about 7,000 rubles one way.

By bus

There are direct flights from Krasnodar to Feodosia. They leave in the morning and evening, on average the journey takes 8-9 hours. The ticket costs 800 rubles, you can buy it at the ticket office or from the driver.

By car

One of the most convenient options. You will have to drive through Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Temryuk and Kerch, where you will need to cross by ferry. The downside is the queue at the crossing.

How to get from Yalta to Feodosia

By bus

Buses and minibuses run to Feodosia several times a day. Some of them have their final stop there, others go further. The journey takes 4-5 hours, the ticket costs about 400 rubles. You can buy it either at the ticket office or from the driver, but at the height of the season it is better to do this in advance.

By car

You have to drive past Gurzuf, Alushta, Sudak and Koktebel. The road is easy and very picturesque. It will take about 3 hours.

Transport in Feodosia

Since the city itself is not small, we recommend using public transport or a taxi; walking will be quite tiring. In addition, the city has so-called electric sightseeing cars.

Public transport

This is the main and most popular way to get around the city. Perhaps for this reason it is often crowded.

Most flights, including those to the suburbs, depart from a stop at the intersection of Sovetskaya and Nazukina streets, which is not far from the PUD supermarket. Buses simply stop at a stop and wait for passengers. The schedule is not posted anywhere; you will have to find it out from the drivers themselves or local residents. If you are going to travel far, especially outside the city, we recommend that you sit here to avoid standing on a crowded bus.

Let's talk about the most important and popular flights:

  • No. 103 (20) - to the village of Ordzhonikidze, every 30-60 minutes.
  • No. 106 and 106a - through to Beregovoy and Primorsky. It runs every 10-30 minutes.
  • No. 14 - through the center to the Genoese fortress (the final “City Hospital”). He rarely goes.
  • No. 104 (20a) - to Ordzhonikizde every half hour.
  • No. 2 - through the city center to the intercity bus stop, every 10 minutes.
  • Route taxi 101 goes past Koktebel to Kurortnoye, the final one is “Biostation” - from there the route to the Karadag Nature Reserve begins. It runs every 20 minutes.

Taxi in Feodosia

Quite a common method of transportation. However, there are many private owners in the city, be careful with them. They love to jack up prices and bargain desperately. If you don’t want to experience this for yourself, it’s better to order a car through the website from a local official company. The cost of the trip is 60 rubles + 14 rubles for each subsequent kilometer. On average, in the city, it comes out to about 100 rubles.

Transport rental

In Feodosia you can rent not only a car, but also a scooter or bicycle. However, the service is quite expensive. They ask for 1,500 rubles a day for a motorcycle, 600 rubles for a bicycle.

There are only two rental points in the city: the first is located on the city embankment, there is a private owner who provides transport to tourists, the second is on Nazukina Street, 3.

You can rent a car at Simferopol airport and pick it up in Feodosia.

Electric cars

They are not rented out, but they can take you around the city, show its distant sights like the Genoese fortress and tell you a lot of interesting things. This excursion costs about 500 rubles. To do this, go to Galereynaya Street, where it intersects with the embankment.

How to leave the Simferopol railway station to other resorts and cities of Crimea

From the railway station in Simferopol you can go to other cities of Crimea in different ways:

  • By trolleybus to the nearest southern coast of Crimea: Perevalnoye, Alushta, Yalta. Trolleybus ticket offices are located next to the railway station. Look for the two-story pink building near the clock tower. By trolleybus you can travel along the famous trolleybus route "Simferopol - Yalta". The route is famous for its length – 95 km. Trolleybus No. 55 departs to Yalta from the airport (via the Simferopol railway) every 15 minutes, travel time is about 3 hours. There is information that due to road repairs the route was changed for a short time, check the repair situation locally
  • The Kurortnaya bus station is nearby . From here you can go to a variety of cities and towns of the peninsula in the south, east, north and west of the Crimean peninsula.
  • Rent a car that you can drive yourself by ordering it to the Simferopol railway station in advance online.
  • Taxi , it is clear that this is usually an expensive pleasure, but as a point of our research, it exists. True, there are more interesting ways to order a taxi, for example, online. I talk about this in more detail in another article, read here - Kiwi taxi

Traveling by train to Crimea in 2021 has become longer than before. But at the same time, you need to understand that for those people who like such trips and who do not like to fly, it will be much more convenient to get to their beloved Crimean peninsula directly. After all, there is a certain romance in traveling by train, especially when you go on vacation to the sea and admire the scenery outside the window.

Important, read the second article:

  • Trains to Crimea from three more cities and from Anapa to Kerch a new train along the Crimean Bridge
