Sights of Yalta ☝️ worth visiting

It’s not for nothing that Yalta is called an open-air museum - the concentration of historical, cultural and simply beautiful places here is off the charts! For those who do not have the opportunity to stay in the pearl of Crimea for a long period, we have already published a route for an independent walk through the city center, so now you have a route through the main attractions of Yalta for 3-4 days. So let's begin!

First, book a good hotel or apartment so you can get quality sleep before your busy first day. When checking in, ask about the presence of a cafe or canteen nearby - you need to leave no later than 8 a.m. if you plan to visit as many attractions as possible in a day. We also recommend renting a car or scooter if you are in Crimea without transport.

It won’t hurt: in which area of Yalta to stay?

Nikitsky Botanical Garden

The first point of our adventure is the oldest Botanical Garden in the village of Nikita, which has no equal at least in the entire post-Soviet space. It is interesting because for more than 200 years a huge number of plants unique to Russia have been collected here.

The garden area is huge, so a walk through it can take from 2 to 6 hours . There is a good canteen on site.

If you leave the botanical garden through the lower gate, you can also look into the cactus greenhouse and Montedor Park. And about a kilometer away is Nikitsky Beach, where you can cool off during the season. But it's time for us to move on.

After taking a walk in the shady alleys of the botanical garden, take a look at the cozy Massandra Palace located relatively nearby.

If you travel by public transport - minibus No. 29 runs from the botanical garden, ask to stop at the turn to the Massandra Palace

Features of winter holidays

Most vacationers, like me, are lovers of educational tourism. In summer, a thorough acquaintance with Yalta's sights is often hampered by crowds of tourists and the fuss they bring. When visiting the resort capital of Crimea in winter, travelers can enjoy the many attractions in and around Yalta without interruption. In my opinion, this is adequate compensation for the weather, which is, of course, inferior in comfort to summer weather. After all, man does not live by the beach alone! But the sea – it has not gone away, and its winter panoramas have their own charm.

For people suffering from chronic diseases, winter treatment in first-class Yalta sanatoriums costs significantly less. This applies not only to treatment, but also to accommodation in winter Yalta. The exception, of course, is New Year's and Christmas days.

Although most budget guest houses close during the low season, prices at first-class hotels drop significantly at the same time. Therefore, families for whom a summer visit is too expensive can afford a winter holiday in Yalta hotels. Almost all of these hotels have indoor seawater swimming pools.

The average winter temperature in Yalta is +5 °C. Light frosts sometimes occur at night. Of the three winter months, December is the cloudiest and rainiest. Cold rains occasionally turn into sleet. In December it is very windy in Yalta, but not cold. In the middle of the month, a stable snow cover forms on the Ai-Petri plateau, which allows the ski season to open.

In January in Yalta the temperature is lower than in December. However, a large number of sunny days makes a stay in January subjectively more pleasant. It is this month that skiers are recommended to go to Yalta.

The first half of February seems to be a continuation of December: snow storms and storms at sea are not uncommon. But from the second half of the month it becomes noticeably warmer, and the breath of the approaching southern spring can already be felt in the blooming flowers.

Vin

After visiting the botanical garden and the Massandra Palace, be sure to visit the operating Massandra wine factory. Here you will find an interesting excursion through cool wine cellars, tasting the best examples of Crimean wine and the opportunity to buy what you like for yourself or friends.

about 2 hours at the Massandra wine factory . Now is the time to take a break - return to Yalta, rest, change clothes and go out for the evening part of the first day.

How to spend your first evening in Yalta? Take a walk along the Lenin embankment, have dinner at a good restaurant and return to the hotel on foot. This way you will get to know the city better and get a sound, healthy sleep. Along the way, buy water and snacks for tomorrow. Don't stay too long at night - tomorrow we have a busy day ahead.

Don't forget to charge your camera and action camera batteries - we'll need them tomorrow

Beaches of Yalta

In the city of Yalta itself there are 3 beaches. Massandrovsky, Primorsky and urban. Massandra Beach is considered the best Yalta beach. But literally this year the Primorsky Beach was opened after restoration, it is no worse.

All the beaches of Yalta are approximately the same, there are sun loungers, canopies for shade, and lifeguards everywhere. The beaches are pebble. They are separated from each other by piers, as elsewhere in Crimea on the southern coast.

The water is clean and clear if there are no waves. The beach is also clean, no bottles, bags or other rubbish. All tourists throw their garbage into numerous trash cans. People go to smoking areas to smoke. No algae noticed (maybe depends on the season).

Snow-white Livadia Palace

Let's start the day with the favorite residence of the last emperor of the Russian Empire, Nicholas II and his family - Livadia Palace.

You can book a tour of the palace on site (about 400 rubles per person) and breathe fresh air in the pleasant palace park.

A walk through the palace and park complex will take about 2.5 hours .

The next point of our today’s route is the calling card of Crimea and the favorite of all its guests, the Swallow’s Nest castle in Gaspra:

Our reviews of Yalta and features of the resort

  • It is considered one of the best resorts in Crimea. This is true! Everything here is a level higher than in other cities.
  • Prices are also slightly higher than other popular resorts. Hotels are more expensive than the average in Crimea. Budget accommodation can only be found far from the sea.
  • The contingent of tourists is also different. Wealthier people relax here.
  • The beaches are not the best in Crimea. Everything is decent and clean, but there are a lot of people, breakwaters, pebbles, cramped conditions.
  • An embankment with picturesque views, nice to take a walk.
  • Most of the interesting places in Crimea are nearby, which is very convenient.

Romantic "Swallow's Nest"

Admire the sweet symbol of love and the Crimean peninsula, as well as stunning views of the Black Sea coast all the way to Mount Ayu-Dag near Gurzuf and take some of your most beautiful photos as a keepsake.

The walk to the tiny castle will take about 1.5-2 hours .

This toy castle has long become a real symbol not only of Yalta itself, but of the entire Crimean peninsula. An architectural and historical monument, made in the style of a medieval fortress, hangs from a forty-meter cliff on Cape Ai-Todor near Yalta.

Reference! “Swallow’s Nest” is the most visited tourist site in Crimea.

The building acquired its final form in the 30s of the last century, although the history of this place goes back to antiquity. At the beginning of the era there was a Roman fortress here, and in the Middle Ages a monastery was built. The first mention of the building on the rock, which was then a one-story wooden house, dates back to 1895.

The modern appearance of the building as a Gothic castle with towers and lancet windows was given by the German oil industrialist Baron Rudolf Steingel . The original interiors of the castle were lost at the beginning of the 20th century, so now a cultural and exhibition center functions inside. Various exhibitions are held here: archaeological, painting, old postcards and photographs are exhibited.

“Swallow’s Nest” belongs to the urban-type settlement of Gaspra and is located on Alupkinskoye Highway. From the Yalta bus station you can take minibuses No. 32 and 27 to the “Sanatorium Parus” stop. Many tourists travel by excursion boat from the sea station.

Open to visitors from 10 am to 4 pm every day except Monday. The surrounding areas can be visited for free.

Vorontsov Palace

The palace and park ensemble in Alupka was created in the first half of the 19th century. The palace received its modern name after the surname of its first owner, Count Mikhail Vorontsov . The building at the foot of Mount Ai-Petri in the neo-Gothic style with one hundred and fifty rooms was built over the course of 18 years.

Reference! Now the palace houses a museum.

From Yalta you can get there by minibuses No. 32 and 27. Open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Livadia Palace

The snow-white palace was built for the Romanov imperial family at the beginning of the last century. The residence is located on a hill in the middle of evergreen forests overlooking the Black Sea coast. The palace ensemble, five kilometers from Yalta, is known not only for the grandeur of the structure.

Reference! It was here that the legendary Crimean Conference took place in 1945 with the participation of the heads of the USSR, Great Britain and the USA.

are conducted through the main halls of the palace . Visitors can watch the exhibitions “The Royal Hunt” or “The Romanov Dynasty in the History of Crimea”.

minibuses reach the royal residence You need to get off at the “Livadia Palace” or “Sanatorium “Border Guard”” stops.

Opening hours: from 10 to 18 hours. A ticket for an adult costs 400 rubles, a discounted ticket (pensioners and students) costs 250 rubles.

Massandra Palace

The residence in Upper Massandra was originally built for Prince S. M. Vorontsov, but after his death the unfinished building was purchased for the royal family.

The construction of the Massandra Palace took almost 21 years . The architect of Alexander III, Maximilian Messmacher, made significant changes to the original project, thanks to which the huge, austere castle turned into a fairy-tale tower. Later, a park of more than forty hectares was laid out around the palace, where lemon, olive, and orange trees were planted.

Currently this is one of the best landscape parks in Russia.

During the Soviet years, the castle became a state dacha, and only in 1992 it was opened to the public. Now there is a museum dedicated to the Romanov dynasty.

The palace and park ensemble is located in the urban village of Massandra, northeast of Yalta. You can get there by buses No. 100 and 29, minibus No. 14, trolleybus No. 2. The nearest stop is “Upper Massandra Park”, from which you will have to walk about two kilometers.

Open from 9 am to 5 pm, on Saturday until 7 pm. The price of an adult ticket for the main exhibition is 350 rubles, a discounted ticket is 200 rubles (for students and pensioners).

Yusupov Palace

The ancient estate of the Yusupov princes, built at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries, is located in the resort town of Koreiz on the southern coast of Crimea. The Romanov family stayed here and received President Roosevelt and Prime Minister Churchill. The eclectic architecture of the castle displays both neo-Romanesque style and elements of the Italian Renaissance.

Interesting! The park around the Yusupov Palace is unique. It was laid by Karl Kebach, the chief gardener of the southern coast of the peninsula. The territory of the landscape park occupies sixteen hectares, on which about 7.5 thousand plants grow. Among them are more than two hundred species of trees and shrubs, 32 are rare. Almost fifty trees are between one hundred and five hundred years old.

At the moment, it is impossible to explore the palace on your own: the attraction is under the jurisdiction of the Administration of the President of Russia.

You can come here as part of an organized tourist group on certain days. The opening hours of the Yusupov Palace vary from season to season. Such an excursion will cost from 1000 rubles.

Mount Ai-Petri

Mount Ai-Petri is a symbol of the southern coast of Crimea . The height of the main peak is 1234 meters above sea level. The observation deck on the plateau offers a picturesque view of the coast.

Reference! This is not only the highest, but also the windiest and most foggy point of the peninsula.

There are several ways to get to Ai-Petri:

  • by cable car from Yalta;
  • walking along the famous Botkin trail;
  • by car along the South Coast Highway;
  • by minibus from the Yalta bus station.

There are many interesting tourist sites located on the slopes of the mountain. Among them: Ai-Petrinsky meridian, mysterious caves, weather station, Bedene-Kyr peak.

were made at the very top of Ai-Petri . For 500 rubles you can walk along them over the abyss and recharge with adrenaline.

Glade of fairy tales

"Glade of Fairy Tales" is a children's park created about half a century ago on the initiative of Pavel Bezrukov. The sculptures made of wood, copper, stone, and concrete embody the images of famous fairy-tale characters.

The exhibition is divided into thematic zones, successfully integrated into the natural landscape:

  • Pushkin glade;
  • fairy forest;
  • settlement of the Slavs;
  • Russian and Ukrainian fairy tales;
  • fairy tales of Europe and America;
  • Crimean legends.

Note! For young visitors, various performances are organized with the participation of animators and life-size puppets. In summer, the children's park is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., in winter it is open until 6 p.m.

Wuchang-Su Waterfall

Leaving the “Glade of Fairy Tales”, you can climb the Botkin trail to the Uchan-Su waterfall, which is translated from Turkic as “flying water”. It is located on the river of the same name , seven kilometers from Yalta.

Important! In order for a visit to the waterfall to leave positive emotions, it is better to come in those seasons when the most vivid sight is presented to the eyes.

Wuchang-Su becomes fullest during the period of snow melting in early spring. The waterfall is also beautiful after long rainfalls in May and the first half of June. From July to mid-autumn there is not much to see: due to the heat, the stream becomes shallow, and shallow streams go down the slope.

From the Yalta bus station to the natural monument, minibus No. 30 takes about forty minutes. Departures several times a day from 7.30 to 17.30.

By car you should move in the direction of Sevastopol along the Yuzhnoberezhnoe Highway . At the “Uzbekistan” stop, turn onto Kirova Street, without turning further to the cascade. You will have to leave your car in the parking lot near the Uchan-Su cafe and walk the remaining distance.

Yalta Zoo "Fairy Tale"

The Yalta Zoo, opened in 1995 , became the first private zoo in the former USSR. Now this is one of the popular places to visit for travelers in Yalta. The zoo's territory is a multi-level terrace decorated with fountains, sculptures, decorative trees, flowers and exotic plants.

Reference! Since its opening, Skazka has been visited by more than one and a half million tourists.

Pets include lions, Amur tigers, monkeys, bears and other animals from all over the world. Many of the zoo's inhabitants are listed in the Red Book and are on the verge of extinction.

The zoo is located on the western outskirts of the resort, on the road from Yalta to the village of Kuibyshevo . You can get there by transport from the bus station along the highway to Alushta in fifteen minutes. To do this, you need to take routes No. 24, 26, 27, 102, 115, and get off at the stop of the same name.

An adult ticket to the zoo costs 500 rubles, for children from 3 to 10 years old - 250 rubles. Tickets to the sea aquarium must be purchased separately: 300 and 150 rubles, respectively. A ticket to the exotarium costs 100 rubles, 50 rubles for children.

In the summer, Skazka is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., from September 1 until 7 p.m., and in winter until 5 p.m. The ticket office closes one hour before the park closes. The aquarium is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Address: Yalta, st. Kirova, 156.

Vorontsov Palace

A palace in a cold English style (with an unexpected surprise on the south side) and an adjacent ancient park with cascading waterfalls, centuries-old sequoias, stone chaos, lakes with handsome swans... A very beautiful and cozy place that is definitely worth a visit. During the holiday season, you can swim at the “children’s” beach at the bottom of the park.

A walk through the Alupka palace and park complex will take approximately 3-4 hours .

Not far from the Vorontsov Palace there is the lower station of the Miskhor - Ai-Petri cable car, so it makes sense to take advantage of this and climb to the top with a memorable height of 1234 meters.

The cable car itself is quite an adventure! It is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest unsupported span in Europe. The trailer will take you to one of the highest places in Crimea in 12-15 minutes.

Climbing the mountain, you can admire amazing views, visit caves, ride horses and drink local Crimean Tatar cuisine with tea made from mountain herbs. The climb and walk along Ai-Petri will take about 3-3.5 hours .

Silver gazebo and Wuchang-Su waterfall

After you’ve had your fill of walking around Ai-Petri, you’ll need to take a minibus and go down to Yalta. The cost of the trip is usually equal to the cost of the cable car ticket. And ahead of you lies a descent along a mountain serpentine with stops at the silver gazebo and the Uchan-Su waterfall.

Most likely, you will find yourself in your room after dark, but if you still have the strength and desire, you can take a walk around the center of Yalta - tomorrow will not be so busy.

Architecture and monuments in Yalta

In the long list of interesting things that an inquisitive traveler will have to see in Yalta, there are many architectural and monumental sights. Beautiful buildings, colorful monuments, and interesting art objects are found everywhere here.

Palace of the Emir of Bukhara

  • Address: intersection of Sechenov and Volodarsky streets. Transport stop "Colonnade".

In the pre-revolutionary era, Yalta became a favorite vacation spot for the elite of Tsarist Russia. Luxurious residences were erected in the city for the august persons of the imperial house, the highest nobles. Even the ruler of Bukhara, Seyid Abdulahad Khan, could not resist the charm of the South Coast.

By his order, at the end of the first decade of the last century, the architect N. Tarasov erected a magnificent complex of four buildings. The emir did not skimp on expenses. Stone for construction, for example, was delivered from Kerch . The interiors of the neo-Moorish castle delighted contemporaries.

Unfortunately, only one structure has survived to this day - but what a one! The exquisite porticoes, belvederes, and balustrades of the Dilkiso Palace seem to be real-life illustrations of “1000 and One Nights.” Today, guests of the Yalta sanatorium are resting in the former residence of the Bukhara emir.

Roffe Baths

  • Address: Potemkinsky lane, 4. Transport stop “Botkinskaya Street”.

Many are inclined to consider the main architectural attraction of the city Embankment to be the delightful building of the baths, erected in 1897 by order of the wealthy merchant A. Roffe. The mansion immediately attracts attention. The main entrance portal, located outside the main volume, looks especially colorful. This part of the structure evokes thoughts of the famous Taj Mahal.

The white marble facade here is covered with ornate Arabic script and carvings, no less elegant than in the mausoleum of the wife of an Indian rajah. The baths, the baths of which I. Bunin, F. Chaliapin, A. Chekhov spoke wonderfully about, were a favorite vacation spot for the pre-revolutionary aristocracy. It must be said that Yalta almost lost a colorful architectural monument. It was only by miracle that the building, designated for demolition, was saved in the late 80s of the last century.

Silver gazebo on Ai-Petri

  • Coordinates on the map: 44.470064, 34.083107.

Snow-white rotunda on top of Mount Ai-Petri. A very romantic place. Erected in 1894 in honor of the completion of the construction of the road between Yalta and Bakhchisarai. The highway was built with great difficulties. It was designed for horses harnessed to carts.

Consequently, the path is twisted into a tight serpentine. Interestingly, the gazebo does not have a roof. It was intended to be made of glass, but was never made. However, the view from the rotunda is excellent, so tourists are always crowded here.

Stalin's Dacha (Malaya Sosnovka)

  • GPS coordinates: 44.525987, 34.209639.

Built in 1948. It is a simple one-story house made of pine beams. According to legend, it was created at the capital's furniture factory "Lux" in just a few days. Stalin loved this place very much. Here he spent a lot of time in solitude.

After death, the dacha became a cult place. She was visited by top officials of the state. Since 2015 it has become open to the public. She is carefully guarded. Everything has been preserved as it was under the first owner - Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin.

Mordvinov Palace

  • Address: Sverdlova, 32.

A huge old manor. Built in 1903. After the October Revolution, it was converted into a hospital, and later turned into a sanatorium for high ranks. Today the house is open to the public. It is a striking example of the Mediterranean architectural style. It is distinguished by grace and taste. Famous for its stunning range of colors.

Monument to A.S. Pushkin

  • Address: Pushkinskaya street. Transport stop "Botkinskaya Street".

A bronze statue of the brilliant Russian poet appeared in Yalta in 2010. The ceremonial opening of the sculptural composition created in Simferopol by V. Gordeev was scheduled by city authorities for February 10, when events are held throughout the country as part of the Day of Remembrance of the classic of Russian literature. Yalta Pushkin is romantic. He stands leaning back on the bronze railing and, it seems, is about to recite the unforgettable stanzas of a poem dedicated to the Crimea, where the poet’s inspiration never left:

  • And where the myrtle rustles over the fallen urn
  • Will I see again through the dark forests
  • And the arches of the rocks, and the azure shine of the sea
  • And the skies as clear as joy?

Seaside Park

  • Address: coastal zone on the southern tip of Yalta. Transport stop "Colonnade".

Inclusion in the park section will not come as a surprise, given that its territory contains several iconic man-made attractions of Yalta. The central entrance to the recreation area is decorated with an incomparable colonnade connecting two graceful porticos. Stairs descend from them to the park, also framed by pillars of the Corinthian order.

Flights of stone steps lead to a small square with a fountain. Immediately behind it, tourists will see a monument to the amazing writer A.P. Chekhov. The bronze statue of the author of “The Lady with the Dog” and “The Cherry Orchard” is mounted on a diorite pedestal. The grand opening of the monument took place a year before the half-century anniversary of Anton Pavlovich’s death.

Directly in front of the park stands a monument to another classic of Russian and Soviet literature. The statue of the writer M. Gorky, cast from bronze, is erected on a massive granite stylobate. The total height of the monument, installed in 1956, is 8.5 m.

The main natural attraction of the park is the graceful palm alley crossing the recreation area. Visitors strolling under the canopy of subtropical trees enjoy the scent of roses blooming on numerous clumps from early spring to late autumn.

Yalta lighthouse

  • Address: Yalta Bay Mall. Transport stop "Clothing market".

By the end of the 19th century. Yalta has turned into an elite Black Sea resort, as a result of which the load on the city harbor has increased noticeably. The existing navigation infrastructure could no longer ensure safe navigation, especially at night.

In addition, the bay's capes did not reliably protect the water area from strong storms. Solved the problem by A. Berthier-Delagarde. According to the design of a famous engineer and archaeologist, a 17-meter reinforced concrete tower with signal lights was erected, and a pier was built. The Yalta lighthouse survived the Crimean earthquake, bombings, and artillery shelling during the Second World War.

After reconstruction completed in 1957, it continues to perform its functions. At the base of the lighthouse there is an ancient cannon, which notified the townspeople with a salvo of the onset of 12:00. The current management of the Yalta port intends to resume the tradition of the midday shot. The necessary permits are now being processed.

Mansion of A. Spendiarov

  • Address: st. Ekaterininskaya, 3. Transport stop “Partizanskaya Street”.

The colorful villa, also known as the “house with the caryatids,” is one of the most colorful buildings in Yalta. It is believed that the prototype of the mansion was one of the buildings of ancient Pompeii, destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius. Indeed, the porticoes of the villa are very similar to their antique counterparts. The roof of the second floor of the extended portal is supported by Greek caryatids.

The architectural composition is very impressive, as is the skill of the architects who created this magnificence. The mansion belonged to the family of the famous conductor and composer A. Spendiarov. Within its walls, the People's Artist of the Armenian SSR worked on the symphonic painting “Three Palms” and the famous suite “Crimean Sketches”.

Golitsyn Palace

The future minister was friendly with Alexander I, calling the palace built in his honor “Romantic Alexandria,” hinting at a common passion for the poetry of this era. The original architecture, where 2 symmetrical towers with battlements guard the entrance to the central part, gave rise to the building being called Castel. Now the palace is closed and only external inspection of the facade and the adjacent park is possible.

Yalta temples, cathedrals and churches

Church of John Chrysostom

In the very heart of ancient Yalta there is an Orthodox shrine directly connected with the name of Governor General M.S. Vorontsov, - the Church of St. John Chrysostom. The Count himself petitioned for the construction of the building.

Construction began in 1835 and was carried out with government funds. The project was carried out by the architect Georgy Ivanovich Toricelli. The Crimean Church was the first structure made of stone and the first temple that appeared in Yalta.

Alexander Nevsky Cathedral

The Cathedral of Prince Alexander Nevsky is an Orthodox church in the center of Yalta, which was built in honor of the Russian Emperor Alexander II, who died at the hands of the People's Will.

The facade of the building is made in neo-Russian style. The majestic cathedral is considered an important historical landmark of Crimea.

The history of the construction of the cathedral is connected with the growing popularity of Yalta: at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries. there has been a sharp increase in tourists. For many, trips to the sea were the only salvation: the local climate was ideal for treating various diseases.

The building of the main Orthodox Church of St. John Chrysostom in Yalta can no longer accommodate all the parishioners. It was during that period that there was an urgent need for the construction of a large religious center in the growing resort city.

Armenian Church in Yalta: Church of St. Hripsime

The Armenian temple in Yalta is a unique monument of Crimea, which is made in the style of early Christian churches. A striking prototype of the Yalta structure is the Church of St. Hripsime, which is located in Armenia.

The Armenian Apostolic Church was built on the slope of Darsan Hill at the beginning of the last century. The creation of the interior belongs to the hands of the famous Armenian artist Vardges Akopovich Surenyants. Alas, the painter only managed to finish work on the exterior decoration, the altar and the dome. Visitors to the temple will be delighted by the fresco painting of the dome.

In 1988, for the 150th anniversary of the Crimean resort city, the Church of St. Hripsime was restored.

Church of the Holy Great Martyr Theodore Tiron

The Church of the Holy Great Martyr Theodore Tiron is one of the oldest churches in Yalta. The history of the shrine is very unusual: it was built by the Greeks, references to it as a Christian temple have existed since the distant 1778.

It was a dilapidated wooden building that quickly fell into disrepair after the forced resettlement of the Greek people to Mariupol. Subsequently, the Church of the Holy Great Martyr Theodore Tiron was almost completely destroyed.

Church of the Immaculate Conception

In 1906, the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built. At the beginning of the last century, the funds of the Yalta Historical Museum were housed within the walls of the temple.

In 1988, the House of Organ and Chamber Music was created in the church premises: an organ made by a Czech company was installed here. A few years later, the church building was transferred to the Catholic community: services began that same year.

Today the Yalta church belongs to the Odessa-Simferopol diocese of the Roman Catholic Church.
