Yanaul district - the northern gate of Bashkiria

Administrative and municipal status[edit]

As part of the administrative divisions, Yanaul serves as the administrative center of the Yanaul District, [4] even though it is not part of it. [1] As an administrative division, it is included separately as the city of republican significance of Yanaul

- an administrative unit with a status equal to that of districts.
[1] As a municipal division, the city of republican significance of Yanaul is included in the Yanaulsky municipal district in the Yanaul urban settlement

Yanaul district - the northern gate of Bashkiria

Yanaul district was formed on August 20, 1930.

“Many people come to us right away,” says Damira Khazieva, director of the local history museum. “They’re probably right, we have something to show.” For example, we have a unique collection of numismatics. There is a rare specimen - money from the 17th century, found in the area. But other exhibits also arouse keen interest among our colleagues when they come to us. Including these living ones,” Damira Nailovna leads us to the terrariums where unusual turtles live. “Be careful with this one,” he warns. “The predator is such that it will bite off half a finger at once.” You see, we keep it under glass, because our main visitors are schoolchildren, they want to touch everything. But this is where the history of the area begins.

The settlements of the first people on the Yanaul land appeared in the 6th century BC, as archaeologists have established. A lot of interesting things are still being found at excavation sites: household items, weapons, bones of fossil animals.

“And a year ago we even allowed visitors to sit in this chair.” But time takes its toll, and now I had to fence it off with a ribbon.

The armchair made by ancient masters is truly unique and unusual. The base is a horse bow, the armrests are mini-hatchets, and there is a wooden wicker on the seat. Such rarities were made on individual orders and were very expensive. Characteristically: not a single nail was used!

The Yanaul land keeps many legends. For example, how the village of Aybulyak appeared. The robbers stole a herd of horses from the local bayou. A detachment led by a daring guy who knew the surroundings well was equipped to search for the greedy people. They found horse thieves and repelled the herd. For this he gave the leader of the detachment land and the best horse. “Ay, bulyak! Ay, bulyak! (Gift! Gift!) - he admired. And so it happened that the new village began to be called Aibulak.

Yanaul is rightfully proud of many of its fellow countrymen - creators, heroes, scientists. But the name of Radik Gareev still stands apart. The golden voice that glorified our native land is remembered by everyone living here. And not only.

“We came specifically to visit the native land of Radik Gareev,” shared Ilzida and Anvar Khalikov from Izhevsk. “We are interested in everything connected with him.” And we are very glad that people in Yanaul remember and honor their fellow countryman.

The guests were greeted by Zukhra Gafarova, who taught mathematics at school number 3, now named after Radik Gareev, which was named at the request of students and parents.

“From this family, where everyone sang, not only Radik could become famous, I am convinced of this,” says Zukhra Magrufovna. “Father, Arslan-aby, played the button accordion beautifully, and the whole family sang. They lived very amicably and had fun. My father froze his legs at the front and over time he could no longer move independently. So Radik carried him in his arms. I will never forget how the future singer was sent to Ufa to a specialized boarding school.

Quite a bit of time passed - Radik asked to go back home. I really missed my family! But teachers and parents still persuaded him to stay: the genius’s talent was visible even then. However, not everything was so simple. Soon Radik had to return to Yanaul. His voice began to break, and he was very worried. We supported as best we could. Especially his class teacher Zinaida Dmitrievna Ulybina. And the whole class, who are still friends. He appreciated this and was the main participant in all school concerts. I literally got burned once. It was evening, we spent it in the gym. You understand what the acoustics are like there. And then Radik came out. “V-o-o-o-o along Piterskaya...” thundered under the arches.

So the famous voice returned, and world fame came. Being very talented, not only in singing, he remained a simple, sincere guy. Together with my friends I swam in Yanaulka and played volleyball - and quite decently. His character was clearly demonstrated in this case. His parents were no longer alive; Radik lived in Ufa and was a world-famous vocalist. And the old house in Yanaul was empty. Buyers for the land were found. We called Radik Arslanovich: “Would you like to sell the plot?” He replied: “If a new one stands on the site of my parents’ house, let them just take it.” And so it happened.

All that remains to be added is that the people of Yanaul do not just remember the fellow countryman who glorified this land. The competition for young vocalists has become traditional, the prestige of which is growing year by year. The district administration is doing everything possible for this. The Grand Prix of the next competition, by the way, was 100 thousand rubles.

“All tickets to Yanaul are sold out!” You often hear this phrase from a cashier at nearby railway and bus stations. Because whole groups and families of nature lovers of all stripes rush here. Fishermen, hunters, just vacationers.

“Our nature can only be envied,” says Yuri Bespalov, director of the Yanaul forestry enterprise. - Upland game, roe deer, wild boars - there is enough of everything. For now, I’m only talking about hunters; fishermen are a different matter. So, we also have enough bears; lately the bears have even started to become too active. Last summer, a bear destroyed an apiary of 84 hives. And not so long ago, one hunter had to endure a real fight with a wounded boar. It’s fortunate that the charge remained in the second barrel... So for those who want to get a forest trophy with a shooting license, we have all the conditions.

— Yuri Vladimirovich, don’t you remember how they rescued a beaver from a sewer? - Wildlife protection inspector Ayaz Kulmetov enters the conversation. - Let me tell you. So, housing and communal services employees raised the alarm: the collector was clogged, and inside there was someone alive moving and making sounds. Everyone gathered: police, medicine... It turned out: a beaver fell into the sewer and stopped the drain! What should I do? By the way, this beast has great teeth! You know it yourself: this is the only way to cut down trees. Therefore, they pulled me out with all precautions. And affectionately at the same time! In general, they pulled him out and released him into the nearest river.

“Then remember how the elk visited the city,” Bespalov clarifies. “Although, of course, it didn’t end funny at all.” It was like this. At night, the owners of one of the houses woke up from a dog barking. What's the matter? We went out and there was a moose in the garden! Huge, horns in all directions. The owner immediately ran home to get the gun. But the beast is not so easy to deceive. He rushed back into the forest and ran into an iron fence. He died, basically... And our fishermen can tell such things...

“And you don’t even have to invent it,” Sabiryan Ramazanov picks up with pleasure. — It was at the Karmanovskoye Reservoir. We fished in the summer. I threw out my fishing rods and went off to make a fire. I'm coming back - bah! One of the rods is floating back and forth in the water! I had to go after him in a rubber boat. But that's not the main thing. I got to the shaft - and it pulled me along with the boat! In general, Hemingway is resting; I read his “The Old Man and the Sea.” Somehow I caught a carp, then weighed it at home, and pulled out 12 and a half kilos! But I still prefer fishing in winter. For burbot, for example. The fish is cunning, you can’t just take it. But those who know a lot about it can succeed! Still, it’s not for nothing that people come to us from everywhere to fish - from Udmurtia, from Tatarstan, not only from neighboring regions.

— Do you know what I love most about our area? - Azamat Khafizov smiles. — Springs, each of which has its own history. My favorite is Khalkyn Chishma, on the highway to Perm. Or the one named after the singer Nafisa Khakimova.

The unknown battle of Marshal Zhukov

It is not for nothing that there is a bust of Marshal of Victory on an old chess table in a local museum. Heading the Ural Military District, Georgy Zhukov arrived in Yanaul to conduct exercises. And he asked when he saw this table in the station master’s office:

—Who should I fight chess with?

Those accompanying him were understandably taken aback: not everyone would dare to play against the invincible Zhukov. Someone suggested calling railway worker Alexei Eligo. He sat down directly in his work clothes opposite the legendary marshal and... However, all that is known is that they finally exchanged a strong handshake and smiles. And then Georgy Konstantinovich asked to organize a real village bathhouse for him after the training. There are still people living in Maksimovka who remember how two cars, never seen before, rushed down the village street and stopped near the house of one of the war veterans. There, in a heavily heated bathhouse, Zhukov was met by those whom he had led from Moscow to Berlin.

This event became one of the main celebrations for Yanaul. The holiday has long outgrown the borders of the republic. Its participants solemnly walk through the city streets and stage theatrical performances in picturesque places in the area. But in the end, a strict jury still reveals the very best. They all congratulate him from the bottom of their hearts.

Iliinsko-Iveronsky Temple

At the beginning of the last century, when the Yanaul railway station was being built, the German contractor Fommeng erected a chapel, which was later decorated with a bell tower. After the revolution, the chapel was looted and the bells were taken to an unknown location. The building was transferred to the railway workers' club. It was returned to believers a quarter of a century ago. The district administration provided assistance in connecting the temple to heating and sewage systems; today it is rightfully considered one of the attractions of Yanaul.

Ilshat VAZIGATOV, head of the Yanaul district administration:

— I believe that the need to create a logistics center of republican significance in Yanaul is long overdue. We have everything for this: a large train station, a good location at the junction of several regions. Then it will be possible to talk about the development of tourism more substantively. Although we do not lose sight of this issue. Now we are looking for investors who are ready to build a ski resort - natural conditions allow this to be done. It’s a shame that fellow countrymen go for rides to neighboring republics. There are other interesting ideas. But the most important thing is this. Our region is rich in talented and hospitable people. We will welcome everyone who wants to know a little more about Yanaul, and there is a lot to see here.
