Wide Balka is a place with beautiful landscapes and the most spacious beaches from Anapa to Novorossiysk. From the center of Novorossiysk to the village is only 9 km. All beaches are of natural origin; human hands have made virtually no changes to them. The Shirokaya Balka area is known to everyone as one of the most environmentally friendly places on the Black Sea coast. The sea here is open, so the water is constantly renewed, there are no large cities or sewage discharges nearby, the port of Novorossiysk is quite far from the beach. The only and completely insignificant drawback of the Wide Beam is the presence of a large number of mosquitoes.

The village itself has a well-developed tourist infrastructure. Accommodation is easy to find in the private sector, private hotel or boarding house. A landscaped two-kilometer promenade with shops, souvenir shops and cafes stretches along the beaches. The beaches in Shirokaya Balka are varied. To the right of the village there is a large wild beach where nudists sunbathe; to the left there are several rocky wild beaches and beaches of recreation centers.

The climate in Shirokaya Balka is very comfortable. In summer there is no sweltering heat, and the sea warms up well. The village is protected from the north wind by the mountains, the coast is blown by a warm south and south-west wind. The hottest month is July. The average daily air temperature at this time is 28 0C.

Central Beach

The central beach of the village is called “Wide Beam”. Its length is about one and a half kilometers, and its width reaches 30 meters. You can drive to the beach by car, but during the peak season it is difficult to find a parking space.

The depth on the beach, as well as on the entire coast of the village, is increasing very quickly. Already a few meters from the shore it hides completely. The water is very clean and has an unusual blue color.

The beach infrastructure is well developed. There are sun canopies, sun loungers and umbrellas for rent, and plenty of entertainment. You can rent a catamaran, a jet ski, vacationers can ride on a banana boat, water ski, or parachute. There is a diving center on the shore, where scuba diving training is provided and all necessary equipment is provided. A snow-white embankment shades along the shore, and steps lead to the beach.

Infrastructure

Shirokaya Balka is one of the cleanest beaches in Novorossiysk. This village recently began to develop in the direction of the tourism business, but has already managed to win the hearts of tourists with its beautiful coastlines and a very clean sea. The ecology in the village of Shirokaya Balka is considered one of the best in the vicinity of Novorossiysk, because there are no various industrial enterprises and various drains and the like nearby.

Both local residents and tourists appreciate the silence and tranquility of the Shirokaya Balka beach, as well as the absence of a huge number of vacationers. Since the beach is located away from the central part of the city, the prices for food and entertainment here are quite reasonable.

Shirokaya Balka beach has a length of about 3 kilometers along the coast, of which approximately 700 meters is occupied by the central municipal beach. The sea here is open, thanks to which the water is constantly renewed and is very clean and transparent. The beach surface consists of medium and large pebbles. The entrance to the sea is quite sharp, about 4 meters from the shore it becomes very deep. When entering the water you need to be careful - sometimes in the coastal areas of the beach you can step on sharp fragments of stones. It is advisable to have special slippers with you - “coralki” - especially for children.

The Shirokaya Balka beach is well equipped with various necessary infrastructure: changing cabins, showers and toilets are provided for vacationers. The well-maintained section of the beach has its own sun loungers and parasols, as well as awnings and mushrooms. On the territory there are rental points for boats, catamarans, banana boat, cheesecake, sailboat rides and rental of various beach equipment. There are playgrounds for children with slides, water activities and sports grounds for adults. For the safety of tourists, there are towers with lifeguards and medical rooms on the beach. Along the entire length of the central beach of Shirokaya Balka there is an embankment with a large number of cafes and restaurants, shops and souvenir shops, bars, eateries and nightclubs.

The beach is remote from the center of the village, so there are always few vacationers here. There is a free bus from the boarding house to the beach. Entry to the beach is only possible with special cards.

There is not a lot of entertainment on the shore, but there is everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are several cafes, a billiard room and a sauna nearby. On the shore itself there is a sunshade, rental of sun loungers, scooters, sports equipment, and diving equipment. You can leave your car next to the beach in a paid guarded parking lot.

Children's beach "Lukomorye"

The beach is located next to the “Pearl”, next to it there is parking for cars. The beach area is large, almost 400 meters long and about 30 meters wide. The children's swimming area is fenced and unauthorized persons are prohibited from entering.

There is no infrastructure on the beach, but everything you need can be found on the nearby Zhemchuzhina beach. It can be recommended for relaxation, as it is always sparsely crowded, calm, with a clean coast and clear sea.

How to get to Shirokaya Balka beach in Novorossiysk

The coast of the village of Shirokaya Balka is located between South Ozereevka and Myskhako, in close proximity to the bed of the Chukhabl River.

Getting from Novorossiysk to Shirokaya Balka is as easy as pie - 20 minutes by minibus No. 108, departing from the Novorossiysk bus station, and now you are already on the desired beach. The stops closest to the municipal beach are called “Panorama”, “Chernomor”, “Diana” or “Blue Torch”.

When traveling by car, you must follow the signs for the village of Shirokaya Balka on the highway of the same name Novorossiysk - Shirokaya Balka, moving towards the southwest.

Wild beach between the children's health complex "Lukomorye" and the recreation center "Sadko"

This beach is almost always empty and is perfect if you want to spend time in solitude. Entry into the water is difficult due to large and sharp stones, which is due to the lack of vacationers on the shore. The beach is quite large in size, about 300 meters long. As elsewhere in Shirokaya Balka, the shore is covered with large pebbles, and the depth increases very quickly. The most convenient way to get to the beach is by car.

Neighborhood

In the vicinity of the beach in Shirokaya Balka there are many hotels, hotels and private houses for tourists. The most popular and visited of them are tourist centers called “Shiroka”, “Priboy”, hotels “Chernomor”, “Metroclub”, sanatorium “Lesnaya Gavan” and guest house “U Petrovicha”.

The nature of Shiroka Balka is very beautiful and diverse. The beach is surrounded by beautiful mountains and rocks, as well as beautiful forests and groves in which many different trees grow - juniper, pine, pistachio, hornbeam and others. In the vicinity of Shirokaya Balka beach there are also special wild corners that are favored by lovers of nudist recreation.

For extreme tourists in Shirokaya Balka there is such entertainment as flyboarding. And not far from the beach, on the territory of the Topolek recreation center, there is a diving center, where beginners will be given the necessary equipment and taught how to dive into the depths of the sea.

The most popular cafes here are the cozy “Terrace”, which provides hearty lunches, “Island” with an open terrace overlooking the sea, “Chalet”, located right on the shore and offering tourists charcoal seafood, and “La Neige” with European and Caucasian dishes kitchens.

The beach consists of two tiers. Only guests of the recreation center can rest on the second tier. There are sunshades, a café serving charcoal-grilled mussels, and changing rooms.

Anyone can relax in the lower tier. There are large pebbles everywhere here. The beach is very popular among tourists and in mid-summer it is quite crowded.

Relax on the beaches of the village

In the city of Novorossiysk, Shirokaya Balka beach is divided into seven sections:

Boarding house "Pearl". Large-pebble beach of Novorossiysk with sun canopies, showers, sun loungers and other equipment. Its guests can entertain themselves by riding catamarans, jet skis, banana boats, tablet boats, and snorkeling;
DOK "Lukomorye" Its width is 30 m, and its approximate length is 350 m. There is no beach infrastructure here, but there is a special section for swimming children. Its dignity is the purest water. Among the attractions - a sea transport roll-off point;
Dikiy, near BO "Sadko" and DOK "Lukomorye". An undeveloped beach 300 m long. There is no fun or service here, but there are sharp stones and a steep approach. Vacationers practically don’t come here, but divers love it;
Tourist base "Sadko". Two-level beach: below there is a perimeter for sunbathing and swimming, above there is a landscaped area with a cafe, sun awnings, sun loungers and a changing room;
Hotel "Metroclub". Here you can find everything for relaxed and active relaxation: canopies and umbrellas, sun loungers and changing cabins, a sandy edge for volleyball, a town for children, attractions - “bananas”, scooters, catamarans, skis, etc.;
Holiday home "Blue Torch". Length – 200 m. It has all the necessary equipment and a variety of attractions;
Central. Its length is 700 m, it is a beautiful, landscaped area, where there are sunbeds, awnings, “mushrooms”, and cafeterias. Interesting activities will include slides, a children's playground, boat rentals, banana and cheesecake rides, and boat trips on sailboats. The most extreme tourists should try flyboarding.

Entrance to the hotels’ own coastal area is free, but vacationers staying in other hotels will have to pay to use the service. An embankment stretches along the Central Beach. There are many shops, souvenir shops, snack bars, restaurants, and the Akula nightclub here. Several stairs lead from the spacious promenade to the shore.

There is a diving center in Shirokaya Balka. It is located at the Topolek recreation center. Experienced instructors will teach beginners how to dive into the depths of the sea and rent equipment to professionals. Upon completion of the course, all participants are issued a certificate.

Where to eat?

Shirokaya Balka has many restaurants and bars, some of which are located along the beach line. After swimming and sunbathing, you should visit the following establishments:

"Terrace". Located on the outskirts of the Central Village Beach. A stylish and cozy place for hearty lunches and romantic meetings;
"Island". Guests have access to an indoor hall and an open veranda overlooking the sea;
"Chalet". Located right by the sea. Customers are served seafood and meat cooked over charcoal;
"La Neige". A cozy place on the Metroclub beach, where European and Caucasian cuisine is served.

The beach is well equipped; a pier for small boats has been built in the center. The children's playground is fenced and there is a volleyball court next to it. Entrance to the beach is free, but sun loungers and umbrellas are available for a fee. There is paid parking nearby. There is a lot of entertainment on the beach, there are cafes and bars.

Wild beach next to the camping site

Near the Metroclub hotel complex there is a camping site from which you can get to the wild beach. Sunbathing on the beach is comfortable, but swimming is dangerous. There are many sharp stones and large boulders at the bottom. These inconveniences do not stop tourists who come here to enjoy the beautiful landscapes reminiscent of the Mediterranean.

The length of the beach is 200 meters, the covering consists of large pebbles. There is everything you need for relaxation: sunshades, cafes, shops, changing rooms, toilets, showers. The beach is very popular as it is located in the very center of the village. At the beginning of summer there are few tourists on the beach, not all cafes are open and there are no annoying sellers.
