Sights of the city of Tikhoretsk (Krasnodar region)

celebrated the New Year of 1975, when the famous film by Eldar Ryazanov was just released on the screens, and the song from it immediately became the unspoken anthem of a small Kuban town. Numerous trains arrived and left the station according to a strict schedule. Passengers who found themselves on the road on New Year's Eve got to know each other and drank to the upcoming holiday. Congratulations and traditional wishes for “new happiness” were heard everywhere. This went on for several more decades, and then the station was closed for renovations and... they forgot about it. For the 10th year now, the most New Year's station in the Soviet Union has been celebrating the main winter holiday with a dilapidated station.

Natural attractions

Chelbas River

The southern sector - the youngest Tikhoretsk settlement - overlooks the banks of the reservoir indicated in the title. In the area of the bridge, the width of the watercourse reaches 150 m. And on its coast there are three aspen-ash groves. Places densely covered with all kinds of reed and shrub vegetation.

These snags are extremely convenient for fishermen. Beautiful mansions on both banks of the Chelbas River (the opposite one belongs to the village of Krasnooktyabrskaya). Young people like to go kayaking, rafting, kayaking and homemade rafts from here.

Green Grove Square and Tikhoretsky City Pond

The well-groomed area in the most spacious chamber of the flooded Kozlov ravine has for some time been something like a suburban recreation and recreation center in Tikhoretsk. At your service is a public garden with a carefully trimmed lawn, sidewalks (and, at a distance, health paths) and benches.

At the southern end there is a pond that tapers towards the east. Its length is 1,900 m, and its greatest width is 280 m (right in the area of a well-equipped beach). Deciduous vegetation is rich in species composition. And inside the grove is the namesake sanatorium.

130th birthday

Despite the fact that the situation with the Tikhoretskaya station is still a dead end, Yuri Tkachev does not give up and continues to fight for the historical building. The group he created on the Odnoklassniki social network has already gathered almost 900 participants. People leave their comments, from which it becomes clear that they are not indifferent to the fate of the architectural monument of their hometown.

“We, of course, have a small station building where you can buy tickets and have a waiting room. But we have been waiting for a long time for that old station building, beloved by us all, to be renovated,” writes Lyudmila Brunina .

“I live in another city, but I come to Tikhoretsk to visit my parents every year. Previously, when the station was still open, I, anticipating a meeting with my family, rejoiced at the sight of it. The building was beautiful, monumental. Now, when visiting my family, I see an absolutely lifeless station building...”, Igor Sedov shares his impressions.

There are only a few months left until April 2021. It is obvious that it is impossible to have time to repair the station during this time, even if the railway workers start it.

“This will be a new round of correspondence and dialogue,” Yuri Tkachev is sure. “The only pity is that in 2021 the station turns 130 years old. And the hero of the day is not at all ready for his holiday...”

Monuments and landmarks of Tikhoretsk

In the residential sectors of the regional center we will find monuments, memorial complexes and other similar attractions, photos and descriptions of which, of course, are attached.

Kochubey

A sculptural work dedicated to the hero of the Kuban episode of the Civil War is installed in the northeastern corner of the just described arboretum. The author of the head bust is Izhalkov. Ivan Antonovich is depicted in a traditional Cossack headdress. It’s a pity, but the exploits of this man were not appreciated by either the Reds or the Whites. Only descendants.

Walk of Fame of Tikhoretsky District

A semicircular colonnade and a square with memorial plaques are located opposite Zhukov Square. The alley goes towards the Brewery (by the way, there are several playgrounds behind it). On the beautiful colonnade are photographs of 37 residents who died in various battles. Of these, 16 are heroes of the USSR.

Memorial to Soldiers-Liberators

This ensemble is located on the same square. But at the opposite end. Near the Eternal Flame. We are talking about a three-dimensional image of a group of soldiers of the Revolution, Civil and Great Patriotic Wars. 7 people. A soldier in a budenovka stands on top of a high pedestal (the wreaths are leaned against it). Work on the project was completed in 1959.

Old Steam Locomotive

Officially, the historical heritage site has a longer name - “Monument to Railway Warriors Steam Locomotive SO-1712”. Included in the list of “Pearl of Kuban”. The retired veteran was built in 1935 at the famous Kharkov plant. The crew that traveled on this vehicle was headed by Anatoly Zhdanovich during the war. The fact is that the locomotive was the first to deliver a military train directly to Berlin.

Monument "Airplane"

The supersonic fighter is mounted on a pedestal in the center of the round columbarium. This happened in honor of the 127th anniversary of the described regional center. The object should be reminiscent of the aviators of the 40th Guards Fighter Regiment (although this regiment fought on older models). And before us is a already decommissioned Czech-made Albatross.

Composition in honor of the sailors who died on Station Square

A tourist will find a rectangular granite obelisk, a marble slab with an anchor leaning against it, as well as a bronze captain’s cap (at the top) in the main city cemetery. Rallies are often held here. The text of the tombstone recalls that in July 1942, one of the trains transported soldiers to strengthen the Stalingrad Front. They also included sailors from Novorossiysk. The Nazis bombed their carriage.

Monument to “Border Guards of All Generations”

A bronze statue with binoculars in hand and a dog at his feet covers a border post. The composition looks quite fresh, as it was installed for the corresponding holiday in 2021. It is located in a park located in the southeastern suburbs of the city district - a village with the quaint name of Yugo-Severnaya. A machine gunner in a post-war uniform of the border troops. But it symbolizes Russian guards of all eras.

Monument car “Who remembers the past has a future”

You will find this shocking attraction on the territory of the local traffic police company. A VAZ-Kopeyka, painted with stripes characteristic of police vehicles of the Brezhnev era, was placed on a pedestal as tall as a man. By the way, the monument is a symbol of the formation of traffic police units within the services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

And it remains to add that it is not difficult to find the same number of memes in the city.

Station with history

Tikhoretsk residents are upset not only by the depressing appearance of the station building, but also by the fact that the oldest architectural monument of Kuban turned out to be forgotten and of no use to anyone.

“Our station has a rich history,” says Yuri Tkachev with delight. — The two-story brick building on Tikhoretskaya was built in 1886. It witnessed many of the events of the turbulent twentieth century."

The junction station Tikhoretskaya remembers the spontaneous protests of workers at locomotive repair shops, rallies, strikes and uprisings in 1902, 1905, which disturbed the small settlement. In 1918, the headquarters of the revolutionary troops of the North Caucasus was located at the station. During the Civil War, the building was alternately captured by the Red Army and the Tsarist troops.

“Historians say that the charismatic anarchist Makhno visited the Tikhoretskaya station, who is remembered for causing a riot at the station market,” continues Yuri. “And during the Civil War, General Denikin’s headquarters was located at the station.”

Beautiful buildings in Tikhoretsk

Railway station

The city seemed to “grow” around the strategic railway stop Tikhoretskaya. Until 1895 it was a village, and after that it was a settlement. The place became a regional center under the Bolsheviks. Realizing its importance, the Nazis tried to capture Tikhoretsk with heavy losses.

As a result, they managed to settle here. But not for long. In view of all of the above, the very first and most important building here is the structure of this station, respected by historians, local historians and connoisseurs of ancient architecture. This is a “palace”.

Mechnikov Museum of History and Local Lore

The local history center has settled in another ancient building. The exhibits (archaeological finds, antiques, folk costumes, paintings, photographs, uniforms, weapons and original documents) tell everything about the ancient population, the birth of the Tikhoretskaya station, as well as the subsequent city.

The exploits of the past and the uniqueness of the present

In 1942, it was the station building that was the first in the city to bear the brunt of fascist bombing. It turned out to be literally washed with the blood of the destroyed train with sailors and the blood of the railway workers who were at their post until the last. In the difficult post-war years, the station, despite its seemingly catastrophic damage, was repaired in just a year. Then the historical appearance of the building was completely preserved.

“But now, in peacetime and the era of serious construction technologies, the Tikhoretskaya station celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory in disrepair,” says Yuri Tkachev, sighing.

Today, Tikhoretskaya station is made unique by another rare enterprise for modern railways - a locomotive depot. In it, steam locomotives undergo a full cycle of maintenance, installation and restoration.

"Cossack Compound"

The thematic complex is equipped with the equestrian club of the village of Ternovskaya - this is the only attraction not located in Tikhoretsk. This refers to the prototype of a Cossack outpost.

Six years of correspondence

Tikhoretsk railway station is one of the first large stations in Kuban. Even today, despite the lack of restoration and renovation, this historical building retains its former grandeur. True, now its walls are covered with deep cracks, there is no glass in the windows, the station clock has no hands, and the station itself is surrounded by a solid fence.

According to the press service of North Caucasus Railways, in 2007 the Tikhoretsk station complex was transferred to the balance of the North Caucasus Regional Directorate of Railway Stations (SKRDZHV). By that time, the building had been in disrepair for a year and could not serve passengers.

The station remained closed for several years before the residents of Tikhoretsk became truly worried about its fate.

“In 2010, I first turned to the head of the station with a question about when the renovation of the building would begin,” says journalist, public figure and resident of Tikhoretsk Yuri Tkachev . “Since then, for six years now, I have been corresponding with JSC Russian Railways, which owns the building, and other authorities, seeking its repair.”

Entertainment for adults and more

Where should a couple go when they managed to put the children to bed in a hotel? Or just in love? And there are several decent options here.

Ice palace-skating rink

The main difference of this ice complex is that it is all-season, that is, it works both in the autumn-winter-spring season and in the summer. It is located on Chapaeva Street, 1D. There are excellent conditions for ice recreation for visitors of all ages, although in fairness, it should be noted that many reviews online call the skating rink too childish.

Karaoke Hall in the London restaurant

Karaoke from hundreds of songs. European cuisine. British interior charm. Miracle alcohol. The stylish establishment is located at the crossroads of the street. Leningradskaya and Podvoisky.

Billiard room

In fact, this is the second “highlight” of the city of Tikhoretsk. The complex belongs to the Panov Equestrian Club (one of the four most respected organizations in Tikhoretsk). The institution is located directly at the base of the hippodrome of the specified KSK on Novorozhdestvenskoye Shosse street (check-in from Novorozhdestvenskaya).

Cinema "Pobeda"

We are talking about one of the most visited places in the city, which definitely deserves the attention of citizens. All new movies, cartoons and even TV series can be watched on the big screen here. There are only two halls in the cinema complex, but they are spacious enough to accommodate everyone. The modern equipment of the Pobeda cinema also contributes to the popularity of the attraction.

In the photo, the sights of the city of Tikhoretsk look, as you noticed, very attractive. What do the reviews of “experienced” vacationers say here? “The food is good and there is billiards.” “In terms of modern entertainment and attractions, it’s a bit lacking.” “The city is great. Calm". What do you think of our selection of descriptions of the most interesting places in Tikhoretsk? Maybe we missed something? Write comments.

Litigation with railway workers

If in the twentieth century the Tikhoretsk station was an eyewitness to bright and significant events in Russian history, then the twenty-first century made the building an observer of its own destruction, neglect and indifference of modern businessmen.

Article on the topic

“We need one victory!” Nina Urgant about the song from the film “Belorussky Station”

Following numerous requests from Yuri Tkachev, in 2011–2012, the Rostov Design and Survey Institute “Kavzheldorproekt” conducted an inspection of the Tikhoretskaya station station. It found that the technical condition of the passenger building was “unacceptable”; the foundation and walls were recognized as “limitedly operable.” The station complex is in dire need of restoration and general construction work, as well as updating of internal engineering systems.

A little later, the struggle of a concerned journalist for the fate of the cultural heritage site of Kuban led to the fact that the prosecutor’s office became interested in the situation with the repair of the station complex. In 2013, the Caucasian Transport Prosecutor of the Southern Transport Prosecutor's Office achieved that a court decision obligated Russian Railways to carry out repairs and restore the architectural appearance of the Tikhoretsk station by April 22, 2021. In addition, a security obligation was signed between JSC Russian Railways and the Department of State Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects of the Krasnodar Territory, according to which the owner must maintain the architectural monument in proper sanitary and technical condition, bear all costs associated with this, and within three years make repair and restoration work. Coincidentally, the completion date for these works was also April 22, 2021.
