Big Yarovoye Lake of the Altai Territory: information for travelers

Yarovoye, Altai Territory is a land of thousands of lakes, springs and mysterious caves. Next to the endless steppes, forests rise, turn into mountains, and are no longer visible beyond the horizon. This is the very heart of Eurasia and a UNESCO site, of which the Altai region is immensely proud. It is not for nothing that it is recognized as one of the best places on the entire planet for permanent residence and recreation. Remember with what love Vasily Shukshin spoke about his small homeland, Altai!

What is this region famous for? Leading industries: mechanical engineering, developed agriculture and unique environmentally friendly products. All this is “helped” by the unique climate with its healing resources, mountain air and simply beautiful landscapes. Tourism is also developing, because people from all over the world come here for such nature, sports facilities and sanatoriums await their guests all year round.

The Altai region is multifaceted, and it will give every tourist what he needs: some adrenaline, and some peace and quiet. This is the pearl of Russia, come here and see for yourself.

Things to do

In 2004, two beach and entertainment complexes were built on the shore of the lake: “Pier 22” and “Pier 42”; the coastal area was landscaped and beach infrastructure was created. This made it possible to attract thousands of tourists to Yarovoye. Lake Bolshoye Yarovoye has become the most popular vacation spot for residents of Siberia. Every summer the population of the small town increases by 5–10 thousand people, the number of guests reaches 80 thousand people per summer.

If you are a fan of organized recreation , then you should relax on the existing lake infrastructure. The shores of the lake are covered with sand. Sun loungers can be rented in the beach area, and after swimming in salt water you can take a shower.

From entertainment:

  • “Lava” is the main entertainment center of Yarovoye and the largest open-air water slide complex in all of Siberia.
  • During the day, beach visitors are entertained by animators and music.
  • In the evening there are discos and concerts.
  • Vacationers are offered a variety of entertainment: catamarans, hydroscooters.
  • There are numerous cafes on the shore.
  • Museum of History in the city of Yarovoye. The central exhibition tells about Lake Bolshoye Yarovoye, on the shore of which the city stands. Here you can learn about the ancient history of the reservoir, archaeological excavations carried out on its territory, healing mud and the history of sanatoriums.

If you want peace and solitude , you need to walk along the shore to the right, where you will find “wild” resting places. The banks here are steep, but the tourists themselves made their own descents to the water, breaking through the steps.

Methods and algorithm for using mud

  • Scalp and hair care. Rub the dirt into the hair, leave for about 15 - 20 minutes, and then wash your hair thoroughly. Course: twice a week for a month.
  • Cosmetic masks. Apply silt to an area of the body or face, leave for 15 - 20 minutes, then rinse. Course: three times a week for a month.
  • Baths for elbows, hands, feet. Apply the mud for 20 - 30 minutes, rinse thoroughly. Course: up to 10 times per month.
  • Wrap for excess weight and cellulite. Before the procedure, clean the skin with a scrub, then apply mud heated to 40 - 45° to problem areas, wrap in a special film for 20 - 30 minutes, then wash. Course: within a month 10 - 12 times for cellulite, 15 times for obesity.

What you need to know about the lake

The attraction is located on a flat area, with space and clean air all around. This is the Kulunda steppe, and the lake is the deepest point in the entire steppe. The lake has impressive dimensions: it is 11.5 kilometers long, 8 kilometers wide, and 10.5 meters deep. This is a salt lake, which has become the reason for its great popularity, because here you can improve your health.

The reservoir is not fed by rivers and streams do not flow out of it. And it is fueled by precipitation. It has an oval shape. The banks are gentle only in small areas, most of them are steep and steep.

The infrastructure began to develop relatively recently. Beaches have appeared, they are called berths 42 and 22, they are covered with clean sand, there are showers and sun loungers. If you get bored, you can rent a pedalo or visit a huge water park. And in the evening you can go to a disco.

Regarding accommodation for the night, there is plenty to choose from. Since the lake is located on the outskirts of the city, you can stay with local residents, rent a room in a hotel or inn, there are also boarding houses.

There are also wild beaches where you can relax in silence. But unfortunately you won’t find any amenities here. The only thing you can equip yourself is a groove with fresh water, which you will need to rinse off after swimming. To do this, it is enough to dig a shallow hole on the shore, which will quickly fill with groundwater; it lies very close to the surface.

Having arrived here, you can go to the lake, which is called Tyoply Klyuch . This fresh reservoir is located at a distance of 10 kilometers, the water in it is fresh. Between it and Yarovoe Lake there is a small piece of land, about 40 meters, and there is also a bay of the lake. Yarovoe. It is in this bay that tourists collect healing mud, which is known for its unique properties. Those who prefer a “wild” holiday in tents stop at Tyoply Klyuch.

Prices for hotels and resorts

Closer to the lake there are a sanatorium, hotels and a regional treatment and rehabilitation center, which is simply called a “mud bath.” Almost all mini-hotels and guest houses are located 1-2 km from the lake shore.

Accommodation in hotels is without meals. Some guest houses have communal kitchens. Every hotel and guest house in the Yarovoye Altai Territory offers tourists a free shuttle to the city of Slavgorod.

Most tourists prefer to stay in small hotels and guest houses. Prices in the city of Yarovoye, Altai Territory in 2021 depend not only on the distance from the lake, but also on the season. Accommodation costs more in July than in August. Look for hotels and guest houses in Yarovoye on Hotellook.

No money is charged anywhere for children under 5 years of age. Children under 7 years old are allowed to stay at the Teremok Hotel without payment or a separate place. The Stagecoach, Teremok and Vasilisa estate hotels are in high demand because they have their own swimming pools.

Prices in the summer of 2021 for a double room for a holiday in Yarovoye, Altai Territory:

Guest house (economy)1500-2500
Guest house (standard)3000-4000
Hotel2500-3500

A vacation for two in the Khimik sanatorium for two weeks in the summer of 2021 will cost 43,000-107,000 rubles. Prices depend on the type of accommodation. The sanatorium offers vacationers standard rooms, suites, studios and summer houses for two.

The regional medical and rehabilitation center accepts holidaymakers for two weeks and daily. Depending on the accommodation, a one-day trip for two in the summer of 2021 will cost from 3,500 to 6,500 rubles.

Yarovoye (Altai Territory) - reviews from tourists

Marina

We rested in Yarovoye from 23.07 to 27.07 on the street. Embankment, 13/2. Owners Natalia and Dmitry. The holiday was spoiled by terrible living conditions. The sockets didn’t work, the lights weren’t on everywhere, the floor and doors creaked so much that if one person got up to go to the toilet at night, everyone slept through it! The toilet was flushed with water from a basin! The water from the tap flowed either hot or very hot! It was impossible to wash. I do not recommend anyone to stay in this place!

Konstantin and Anastasia

Hello, we rented a house on 13-2 Naberezhnaya Street, the owners save on everything, especially light and water, the water is either hot or boiling water, the cold runs in a thin stream, in the light, in the evening we decided to sit in the gazebo, they shined their phones, when asked to turn on the light on the gazebo The owners replied that we will evict you now, given that they did not make any noise. If you don't like it, get out of here! The price does not correspond to the house, one thing is written, the price was raised completely differently, the house has neither air conditioning nor a fan. There were also two tails crawling all over the house. There is absolutely no entertainment for children, in a word, I don’t recommend it to anyone, ruin your vacation.

Yula

We rented a house on Naberezhnaya Street 13-2. We booked in advance and were warned that there would be 7 people and 1 child. We agreed that since the child does not have an additional place, payment will not be taken from him. In fact, when calculating, they said to pay 2000 rubles for the child for 4 days, but they did not provide a place ☝. They say that utilities are taken, this is how much the child had to wash for such an amount. If this had been agreed upon in advance, there would be no questions! Now about the utilities! There is a problem with cold water in the house; either boiling water or warm water is pouring. There is poor lighting in the house, with very few light bulbs on. There are 2 gazebos on the territory, which simply have no lighting!!!! People come to relax and sit in the evening, but in the dark it’s not really interesting. We had to use our phones to illuminate it. When they asked to arrange lighting in the gazebo, the owner began to be rude and said that you would move out of here right now! Although before this it was so “white and fluffy” They didn’t even provide a kitchen towel in the house. In general, the house does not match the price they are asking! I advise you to look for housing elsewhere!

Zheka

Administrators in the “farm” complex cannot ensure peace and quiet at night (the guests and guests are noisy). AT NIGHT THERE IS NO SECURITY AT THE “HUTORKA” AND ALCOHOL IS FLOWING RIVER AND YOUNG PEOPLE BEHAVIOR LOUDLY AND IMPROPERLY. MANAGEMENT SIMPLY IGNORES THE RIGHT TO REST OF PEOPLE AT NIGHT .

Andrey

Don't waste your money and nerves. Discos until the morning on the 42nd pier can be heard up to the 55th. Tough, forget about sleep and rest

Larisa

hot water is turned off, there are a lot of vacationers with children who cannot be put under cold water to wash off the salt, apparently the administration is waiting for the outbreak of infectious diseases

Alexander

People, why do you go there? The locals don’t swim in the lake at all! There, during the USSR, a chemical plant poured poison into the lake...Housing prices are sky-high, the shelves are empty, there are queues and rudeness everywhere! I've been going there for 10 years, but only to the mud baths! Mud is extracted from Lake Small Yarovoe. In September there is a discharge of feces into the lake! I saw it myself! Are you people wild??? ZERO service!!!

MarChick

We were in Yarovoe for two days in mid-August and left on the third. The private houses next to the lake are filled with tourists from top to bottom. The owners are raising prices, even though it was already the end of the season. Toilets are on the street, there is practically no service. We cooked on the common veranda. There is a minimum of everything in the house. In general - Just to sleep through the night. No attention from the owners either. There were problems with food. Beach cafes are expensive. The shops are far away and the selection is limited. So, we had some snacks. What did you take with you? Two beaches, good sand, a lot of people, you can’t swim in the lake, you can only splash around - it’s very salty. Well, maybe someone can be treated with this water. Regarding the water park - it was cold in the water in the morning, but there was a small queue in the morning, it was 10.00, but we didn’t get much joy. There is nowhere to walk in the town, there is nothing to see, there is a small decent embankment along the lake, and we walked along it. The roads to Yarovoye are terrible. I have no desire to go there anymore. Once was enough for us. Good luck everyone and read reviews carefully before you go.

Natalia

I want to leave negative feedback. On the apartment website we found an advertisement for rental housing on Naberezhnaya Street 1, and after looking at the photos presented on the website, we were satisfied with everything, everything looked decent. They called Olga at the number offered, received a positive response and an offer to transfer an advance payment. They transferred it. We've arrived. And oh horror. The place that we were offered to stay did not correspond at all to what we saw in the photo. Dirty, wretched room, rickety beds and torn mattresses, a terrible smell. They refused to return the money, they were rude... There was no strength or desire to swear and find out anything out of the way. We immediately rented an apartment literally on the next street and had a great rest. But the residue remained. Arriving home, I went to the same website and found at the same address EMBEDDING 1A completely different photos were already attached, but also different from what we saw. If anyone reads our review, avoid this address. Have a nice holiday.

Olga

I want to leave a negative review about the vacation, it’s just boiling. This is the fourth time I’ve been vacationing in this wonderful place, I lived in an apartment with good, friendly people. This time I wanted to relax in a private house with a gazebo and not far from the lake, and what do you think through an intermediary whose name is Tatyana from the photo I found a house and a gazebo and, according to Tatyana, not far from the lake. But upon arrival there, complete disappointment awaited us, a rickety hut with torn bed linen with a nasty smell inside, with rickety floors, amenities on the street, although the advertisement stated that the amenities were in in the house, there was a gazebo where the hostess was constantly preparing pickles and jam all day long; I wouldn’t let you in there to cook something for yourself; you had to wait until she prepared everything or go to the dining room. And the nearest shops were within an hour’s reach in the same amount of time and to the beach in the heat. Pervomaiskaya 85, remember this address, people don’t care what conditions you live in if you pay 500 rubles per day per person, although this is their tariff - live like a pig and don’t be indignant - very dishonest people, rude.

Svetlana

We came for a family vacation. We rented a room on Embankment 7. The landlady is boorish and rude. You could say she threw us out of there! Although we agreed in advance! We were supposed to leave on 07/12/18 at eight in the evening. She kicked us out in the morning! (although everything was agreed and discussed with her) The rooms are terrible! The owners are even worse! She has money and only money! She is not interested in anyone else coming to her! I do not recommend this address! The owner's name is Natalya.

Tourist 22

On July 7, 8, 2021, we were vacationing in Yarovoye with my family and rented a room in a private house (Perekopskaya 27/2) in the room: a sofa, a bed and a folding bed since we arrived with two children. The furniture is from the 70s of the last century, as a result the room is small and there is no room to even walk. There is no entertainment for children, only there is no place to go for a fee in the evening. There was one common table for the six rooms that were rented out, so we ate in turns. The room is stuffy, there is tulle on the mosquito doors, the mosquitoes are stuck. We rented a house through a realtor who stood at the entrance to the city, but it ended up being much more expensive. Vacation ruined..

tourist 57

On June 26-27, 2021, the family stayed at Camping 22 at Pier 22. The cost for 3 people was 2,000 rubles. The wooden house-room has 2 beds, 2 chairs and a table. The room is very small, but there was enough space for us to sleep. The toilet and shower are located separately. The staff can use a microwave and refrigerator. There is a separate paid parking area near the campsite. Our car was broken into in this paid parking lot. Because of this negligent attitude of the people responsible for the parking spaces, there was no longer any desire to come to campsite 22. (Chit LLC) We liked it at the lake. The beach is being cleaned. The water is really not clean, but very warm. Every day there is an entertainment program at night. In Yarovoye you can buy souvenirs. Lunches in cafes are expensive. The roads out of town are POOR. If you want to travel the roads of hell, you are welcome. The administration of the Altai Territory should be ashamed of such roads!!!

Advantages:

entertainment part

Flaws:

Dirty lake water, small beaches

I've heard a lot about the glorious Yarovoye Lake, usually positive reviews. But having arrived at the lake, in the city of Yarovoye, there was no end to disappointment. We went as two families and had two small children with us, 2,6 and 4 years old. Firstly, when we arrived in the city, it was as if we were in a city of the 80s: bad roads, heaps of garbage under the trees, a destroyed huge factory and other delights of Soviet life. We rented a house, which was really nice, but initially we agreed on one price, but they rented it for more. In the morning, the children and I went to the beach and saw a picture: a huge number of people, dirty, cold, very salty water in the lake (from the point of view of treatment, perhaps this is good, but we came to RELAX). We waited for two hours and ran home. It is worth noting that the entertainment part was well provided, so young people had a place to walk and have fun. The next day we went to the water park and saw a huge queue of five rows of people eager to get into a decent place. We, of course, did not stand around, but arrived in the evening and calmly arrived at the treasured place. Indeed, the water park is good: a children's pool, and an adult pool with waves, slides, and sun loungers... But the number of people there was stunned. In the pools the water is cloudy, dirty, and this is understandable - there are so many swimmers... In general, for those who cannot afford a more expensive vacation, maybe Yarovoe is for you (although we left 60,000 rubles for two families). Dear friends, decide for yourself, but we will never go there again!

Advantages:

lake

Flaws:

rudeness, expensive, no signs or decent roads

Good afternoon everyone.

Just yesterday we returned from Yarovoe, where we went for 3 days.

I will describe all the pros and cons.

pros

:

  • lake. One big and healthy plus. The therapeutic effect was felt immediately: even the three days that we were there were enough to cure a runny nose and skin irritations. The water is warm and clean, the beach is gently sloping and clean (we rested on pier 22).
  • Almost walking distance to everything - the town is small and compact.
  • wonderful hostess from whom we rented a guest house.

And now the cons.

  • rudeness. Rudeness wherever possible. Visitors are treated like bags of money, but what outraged me most was not this (all tourists are treated this way), but the fact that for your money they will not only not provide you with a service, but will also cheat you in the end!
  • roads. What was most amazing was that in Slavgorod (at the entrance to Yarovoye) there are signs that bypass the city, directing you to a road that is easier to walk along than to drive a car - it’s just all broken into rubbish!!! Well, if you want to enrich the resort town, at least don’t embarrass yourself, make a normal road!!! It really looks like a mockery!
  • empty shelves in stores. In the morning you can still buy something, but in the evening don’t even hope to buy a more or less worthwhile product! It simply doesn't exist! In addition, terminals do not work in half of the points. Several times I saw people swearing and raking out change to scrape together cash for a purchase!
  • There are simply no signs, as well as any different guidebooks in the city.
This is how the glorious city is ready for the tourist season. And we still scold the Crimeans! Yes, Crimeans simply smoke nervously compared to their Yarov comrades!

Advantages:

friendly locals

Flaws:

no shops, high housing prices, nothing to see, no nature

The impressions are mixed - on the one hand, the residents are friendly and helpful, but on the other hand, there is certainly nothing to see there. A salt lake with beaches where there’s nowhere for an apple to fall (with endless queues in cafes), on fresh pits - if anyone was in the parking lots of Novosibirsk business centers in the city center at lunchtime - cars are parked around the fresh water bodies just as densely (between the car and the lake - tent), that is, the neighbors are within walking distance (about 5 steps), in general there are a lot of people.

We lived with friends of our friends, so we were lucky and we paid 5,000 rubles for 3 days for 5 people, we lived with the owners (very good people). but in general the prices are FROM 500 rubles per person.

There is no nature, steppe and steppe all around, there are very few trees at all, but there are flowers - the locals maintain the beauty in the city, it’s nice.

The water park is a separate issue. Friday, 8.45 - there was a queue of about 100 meters (as a child, there was such a queue for milk with a 6-liter can) - we didn’t go to the water park, it was a pity to waste time in line. Saturday - 8.30 - the queue is 70 meters long, we went inside at 9.45 (milk sold faster in my childhood), the water park has 5 adult slides - the scariest - the queue is 5-12 minutes, the safest - from 15 to 30 minutes. On one hill - where it flushes you away (everyone calls it the toilet), our guys got hurt (one had skinned elbows, the other ROCKED his swim shorts in several places while he was being flushed there, there are several shallow wounds on his body) - it’s unpleasant, there are either bad joints or something , they didn’t understand, but the others didn’t dare ride. I really liked the wave pool and Charcot shower, but I’ll immediately make a reservation that I was completely scratched by my nails in the pool, since the density is 4-5 people/m2... very cramped. I also liked the fact that they still sell chilled drinks at the water park (queue 20-40 minutes).

Never go to the Chin-Chin cafe, there are not enough waiters there, so they are lathered up, tired and angry, we snatched a table that was vacant - the dirty dishes were taken away only after 20 minutes, the order was brought in 1 hour, the drinks were not chilled!!!! (this is not surprising, there is such a crowd, the drinks simply do not have time to cool, but we can warn you! Does anyone really like hot beer??). And most importantly, a friend ate a salad with chicken gizzards - she had obvious poisoning (it started after 4 hours), she came down with a fever and other related things...

In the end, I didn’t understand - why is everyone so eager to go there? We actually came for the water park for 3 days, but I can’t even imagine what to do there for a week (or more)…

On the lake It’s at least more interesting in Altai, although the prices are the same, in Crimea the prices are the same - but there is something to see, and in general - the sea, but abroad (Thailand, for example), it’s both more interesting and frankly cheaper.

I see there are a lot of good reviews about Lake Yarovoye, so I want to say my “bah” to complete the picture. It was ten days (three would have been enough) and I didn’t like it. The very nature of this place is poor, meager and dry. The natural shores of the lake are steep. The water is very salty, if in the sea there is 50g (salt) per 1 liter, then here it is 200g per 1 liter of water. After 2-3 times I completely lost the desire to swim in it. There is a slight chemical smell from the water. If local entrepreneurs didn’t try, it’s not at all clear how this could be a resort. Yes, the beach is equipped, one street is tiled like an embankment. The rest of the town is old. The central grocery store “Maria-Ra” has a very limited assortment, everything is selected. I especially “liked” the fountain near this store - a dry pit filled with garbage. There is no sidewalk along the shopping tents; everyone is stomping through the dust. There are few shops, don't count on shopping. Yes, there’s also a water park, it’s done well, but they let so many people in at the same time that in the three hours you buy, for example, you can stand in line for the slides all the time and go down three times. And most importantly, prices for everything, as it should be at a good resort!

Having heard a lot of rave reviews about Yarovoye, we went on vacation. Naturally, we agreed in advance with the owner of the apartment. After driving for 14 hours, we reached our destination. We need to write separately about roads - in some places they simply don’t exist. Especially in neighboring Slavgorod. Maybe most tourists fly by plane, I don’t know... When we arrived, we called our apartment owner, and she rented out the apartment to others! She didn’t remember any agreements... Until 12 at night, my two children and I drove around the village and looked for accommodation for the night. Naturally, there is no mood. There was a feeling that the residents of the village were seasoned realtors, eager to “squeeze” money at any cost. Apartment owners spend the night in garages, sleep in tents near houses, and rent out apartments with complete strangers sharing them.

We vacationed in Vityazevo, near Anapa, also in the private sector - the people there are completely different - hospitable and welcoming, if they don’t rent out housing themselves, they will find someone who does, and, of course, they comply with the agreements. People think about their “face”, about the name they create for themselves. Everything is different here. Nobody cares about tomorrow.

It’s good that the world, after all, is not without good people, a resident of Slavgorod took pity on us and gave us shelter.

Instead of the planned 3 days of rest, we spent 2 days in Yarovoe. And that was enough. Because it’s impossible to swim in the lake, it’s dirty and smelly, except for the water park and amusement park there’s nothing to see, it’s boring, the village is dirty - there are practically no trash cans.

Tickets to the dolphinarium are sold out 4 days in advance. At the piers, toilets, showers, drinks, etc. are provided with special cards - which can be obtained by standing in line for 30 minutes. And if the child has an urge to go to the toilet, be kind, mother, to stand in line and get the coveted card! The maps at the piers are different. Moreover, the card must be closed after the visit... Everything is very confused...

In general, civilization has not reached this place... unfortunately!

I became a victim of advertising and decided to go to Yarovoye. I booked what I thought was a good hotel. Upon arrival, my disappointment knew no bounds. A village is a village, and a deep one at that. There is nowhere to take your child for a walk, except on the street along the water park. There is absolutely no entertainment... In the evening after the beach and water park there is nothing to do. Unless you sit and drink in cafes... No luck with the hotel: Usadba on Mendeleeva 15 - Oasis.

It looks beautiful, but in reality:

  1. The audibility in the rooms is monstrous - not only can you hear the neighbors talking, but you can also hear what they’re talking about!!!
  2. In my opinion, the bed linen is not washed, but simply shaken off after previous vacationers.
  3. Towels (once white) were the color of a doormat - beee
  4. The toilet smells like old urine
  5. There was no desire to use their shared kitchen - there was dirt all around, it was disgusting to pick up a kettle! For that kind of money, by the way, you could put a kettle in every room.
  6. They prepare it on the hotel premises as in a run-down Soviet canteen - dry buckwheat + cutlet or pasta without gravy + cutlet...
  7. The attitude of the staff is as if we still owe something, but they are doing us a great favor.
  8. The owner is a total scammer. I booked the hotel through the website - there was an advance payment. Naturally, we escaped from this hole very quickly. So, when I asked (in accordance with the site rules) to return the money from the prepayment, he began to say that we didn’t stop by at all! I sent photos that I took myself (photos of his hotel!) and he just disappeared! A very dishonest person.

Conclusions:

Avoid the estate on Mendeleeva 15!!!

There is nothing to do on Yarovoye - don’t waste your time and money.

Good luck to all.

This is not the first time we have gone on vacation to Yarovoye, but it will be the last. We probably do more treatment, so we rest like “savages.” I am outraged by the attitude of local authorities towards vacationers. You have to think of removing all the water pumps and offering nothing in return. They probably forgot that the city budget is replenished by vacationers. The service is terrible, or rather there is no service at all, it's dirty. There is nowhere to throw the garbage, so it is everywhere.

Where to stay in Yarovoye

The main expense, as at any other resort, is, of course, accommodation.

Renting an apartment will cost from 1000 rubles per day, the cost depends on the rooms, the number of residents and the area in which the apartment is located.

A hotel room will cost from 1,500 rubles/day.

Accommodation in summer houses from 400 rubles per person per night.

And you can rent a private house within the city for a large group from 2,000 rubles per day.

Well, if you prefer solitude with nature, an excellent option would be to pitch a tent near the lake in a tent camp.

The main asset of the lake

The unique property of the lake is brine. Many people believe that brine is small crustaceans living in a reservoir, but this opinion is erroneous. In fact, this is the name of the water itself, namely the saline solution. This is a very rich composition of various salts, in addition there is bromine. As we all know, the saltiest body of water in the world is, of course, the Dead Sea. If we rely on the data, then speaking about the same brine, the degree of mineralization in the sea is 280 g/l. Our lake has a level of 160g/l. Regarding the composition of the water itself and the salts contained in it, they have equal indicators.

It is simply impossible to drown here; the water is so salty that it keeps a person on the surface. Here you can simply lie on the surface of the water and enjoy your vacation. The only thing is that the salt stings your eyes, so it’s better not to splash it.

Regarding crustaceans, they really live in a reservoir, but have nothing to do with the appearance of salt. Salt water is their habitat, but in fresh water they would simply die. But you should not think that they are useless and do not bring any benefit. Their benefits can hardly be overestimated, because thanks to them, healing mud appears. Having gone through their life cycle, they settle to the bottom, then the microflora is processed, which ensures the appearance of therapeutic mud. When wet, the mud is black in color, but as it dries it lightens to light gray. Sometimes you can see a beige coating on the surface of the water that appears near the shores. It is absolutely harmless, since these are eggs of beneficial crustaceans.

Mud on Lake Maloye Yarovoye

The bottom of the reservoir is sandy, with a shallow layer of silt (0.1–0.2 m). As soon as you move the top layer a little, a black mass is revealed underneath, oily and greasy to the touch. It was formed as a result of centuries of mixing the dying bodies of the crustaceans Artemia Salina with silt and salt.

This mud has a therapeutic, restorative and antibacterial effect. It stimulates metabolism, relieves swelling, reduces inflammation and pain, improves tissue nutrition, softens residual scars, accelerates the recovery process after bone fractures and increases joint mobility. In addition, it perfectly suppresses the development of fungal infections, normalizes hormonal levels and improves immunity.

Peloid is used in the treatment and prevention of skin diseases, problems of the genitourinary system, and the musculoskeletal system. This natural remedy is especially effective for chronic bronchitis and pneumonia. Healing mud gives excellent results in cosmetology and spa programs. Procedures using it help eliminate cellulite, allow you to lose excess weight and improve your figure without harm to the body.

This natural mask should be applied locally, but vacationers often apply it to the entire body. Many people collect dirt in buckets and containers and take it with them. But it is better if the container is closed, so the valuable resource will retain its beneficial properties much longer. And for further use, you should simply dilute the substance with water.

Like any healing process, the method has contraindications. These include acute and chronic inflammation, tuberculosis, diseases of the blood and cardiovascular system. Mud therapy should not be performed during pregnancy for more than five months. Before the procedures, it is advisable to consult a specialist.
