Airport
Samara Kurumoch is the largest international airport in the entire Volga region. Geographically, Samara's air harbor is located outside the city - 35 kilometers from it in a northern direction near the village of Bereza. The airport serves not only Samara, but also residents of Togliatti (the city is located 45 km from Kurumoch), settlements of the Ulyanovsk region and even the Kazakh city of Uralsk.
Kurumoch passenger traffic in 2021 amounted to about 3 million people, which is the 13th indicator in the country. The airport serves a number of Russian and foreign airlines (Turkey, Czech Republic, Greece, Finland, UAE, Spain, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and others). There are flights from Kurumoch to more than 108 destinations: about 50 regular flights to Russian regions, 20 flights to near and far abroad, and the rest to flights around the Volga region.
Popular destinations in Russia are Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Sochi, St. Petersburg, Surgut and other cities; international flights include Antalya, Dalaman, Larnaca, Barcelona, Dubai, Djerba, CIS countries and many others.
Due to the remoteness of the airport from Samara, it can be reached by bus from the central bus station (flights to Togliatti with a stop at Kurumoch). The air harbor also has a railway connection - Aviaexpress trains departing from the Samara central station.
Volgograd
The only Hero City on the Volga.
During the Great Patriotic War, it was almost completely destroyed, but played a vital role in turning the tide of hostilities. Nowadays, guests are primarily attracted to the places of military glory in Volgograd, the main one of which is the memorial complex on Mamayev Kurgan. It is there that the famous sculpture “The Motherland Calls” is located.
However, interesting places in Volgograd are not limited to military topics. Here you can enjoy the beautiful banks of the Volga or go to the new stadium, where the football world championship thundered in 2021.

Along Krasnaya Glinka
How to get there : by train Cost : up to 150 rubles Coordinates: 53°25′52.4″N 50°08′00.7″E
This route is a continuation of the Golden Forest, so it is completely on foot. After the golden forest, you walk along the railway and after a couple of kilometers you will find yourself in a clearing, from where you can see the village of Volzhsky.
Here you can take a break and replenish supplies in the store. Then move to the Tsarev Kurgan. The climb is not steep, you won’t lose your strength along the way. You will need them to have a good time walking around the mound itself.
Go down and cross the Sok River on the bridge, you will come out to the Sok adits. You will never get tired of climbing inside adits. The main thing is not to go too deep. It’s better to go in, cool down and go to the next point - the abandoned Soksky quarry.
Just like in the adit, pilgrimages to the Soksky quarry will never stop. You shouldn’t exclude him from the route this time either. And then the choice is yours: you can spend the sunset in a clearing between the Volga slope of Tip-Tyav and the quarry, or you can immediately go to the bus stop on Krasnaya Glinka (then the sunset will lick your back).
It is not necessary to go through all the points that we indicated. In some places you can cut, in others you don’t stop. A map of the full route is here.
River Station
The Samara River Station is located on Maxim Gorky Street, 82. From here there are regular (during the navigation season) flights to settlements adjacent to the Volga, as well as tourist and entertainment cruises. Every day, ships sail from the river station to the villages of Proran, Rozhdestveno, Zolnoye, Vinnovka, Gavrilova Polyana, Osipenko and others. In winter, navigation is carried out only in the direction - Samara-Proran-Rozhdestveno (on hovercraft).
In the recent past, high-speed flights to Togliatti began to operate from the Samara river station. Hydrofoil motor ships of the Voskhod type are used to transport passengers.
Along the Soka
How to get there : by train Cost : up to 100 rubles
If the previous route was for those who love the forest, this one is for river boaters. We stock up on water and food and take the train to Starosemeikino. There's nothing to see here, so go straight to Juice. And then a few kilometers along the river.
A little before reaching the Tsarevshchina station, go up to the railway tracks. Walk along the paths and then go up to the active Soksky quarry. If you're lucky, you'll see limestone being mined below.
You walk along the active quarry and gradually find yourself in the territory of an abandoned quarry. Next is a steep climb to Tip-Tyav and a road through the forest to Krasnaya Glinka.
A simple route for a few hours of walking. The map can be viewed here.

Old Binaradka and Bor
How to get there : by bus Cost: up to 250 rubles Coordinates: 53°33'59″N 50°1'41″E
It’s worth going to Stara Binaradka for three reasons: the Stara Binaradka forest, the sand quarry and the equestrian club, where you will be allowed to ride not only in the enclosure, but also to ride a horse through the forest.
First of all, we advise you to look at the quarry, which is on the border with the Starobinaradsky forest (53°31'56″N 50°1'13″E). The spectacle is not as exciting as the Soksky Quarry, but it is worth seeing it at least once in your life.
Old Binaradka itself is known for its concentration of spirituality. For many years now, the village has been hosting a religious procession to Tashla to the miraculous icon of the Mother of God “Deliverer from Troubles.” And even before the revolution, Blessed Eugenia lived here, who, as they say, walked in canvas in winter and summer, barefoot, ate only bread and water and predicted the future. The memory of Evgenia is celebrated in the village on November 14, with a prayer service and laying flowers on her grave in Starobinoradsky Bor.
The second most famous fact about Staraya Binaradka is that Alexander Pushkin came here in the fall of 1833, he collected information about the Pugachev uprising. You can now ride a horse along the road where Pushkin passed. Such excursions are organized by the Golden Provence equestrian club (be sure to call administrator Anna Kosyreva before the trip).
The main attraction of Old Binaradka is the forest near the village. Here you need to walk for hours: on foot or on horseback.
You can get to the village on route 389. It comes from Barboshina Polyana. There are three flights to Staraya Binaradka. Back - five. See the schedule here.

We take the train to the Piskali station. We get out and move along the route. Here is the Volga, and forests, and lakes, and streams. Only 20 km and 4.5 hours of walking.
The route is a little more difficult than the others from our selection. In one place you will need to cross a stream, but, as experienced people say, there is a bridge made of branches there. But the final destination is the station again, and you don’t have to worry about how to get to the city. The train schedule from Kurumoch is here.
